1. 'Cause it's well fun!!! Cutting open a frog, perfect practice for being evil!
2. ...and formulae are fun? Sorry, Magic Umbreon, if I sound a bit harsh, but maths absolutly confuses and annoys me. Especially during DOUBLE LESSONS!!! :x
Hope that you come off probation soon, and rejoin Midnight! It ain't the same without ya!

Yey! People are talented at different things, so I'm not condeming whether you like Maths or not. I must say I'm looking forward to disecting a bit, it sound interesting and a change. Evil scientist wasn't suggested by any careers advice websites, so I think I'll take a different ride in life.
Can't wait to get back to Midnight. I'll request (At 12:00 midnight) an ID card. I'm planning what I'll put on it now.

My least favorite class is most definitely English. The books we've read, the lessons we've been taught...all very boring. If a teacher wants to be liked, then the lessons need to actually, you know, be interesting.

English in my school started well, when we were reading Holes. Since the Optional tests, it's been nothing but script-written lessons and endless assessment pieces. English should be one of the most fun lessons, not just a boring side-lesson.

Yeh, it's unfair on people who are talented at English/Maths/History/whatver to be pushed aside and made to do boring grammar/arithmetic repeatedly when they are such deep subjects.
Forum Rules query: 18 implies respect for all users. If admins and mods are classified as users, then aren't they covered by rule 18 and thus rule 19 is void. And don't be too harsh on covernet. I agree that rules are important but so are new happy members.

Respect all users, but especially respect the moderators and admins, is what 18/19 are trying to say. Perhaps the two can be combined into one rule.
Being new is no excuse when you constantly break rules. New members are usually given one or two extra chances because they're new and haven't read all the rules yet. But when you are pointed to the rules yet still break them, the 'i'm new' excuse doesn't work as well. And frankly, if a newbie that doesn't read the rules leaves because people point out his mistakes, the community is better for it. Harsh, but that's how things are.
Magic Umbreon wrote: I agree that rules are important but so are new happy members.
So by that logic, we should just throw out rules because they make people unhappy. Happy new members are important, but not so much so that we are willing to bend and even disregard rules to keep them happy.

No offense, Magic Umbreon, but covernet's been on it longer than two days. Also, his last post did offend the mods. Finally, Jigglypuff wasn't breaking any rules himself, he was joking (probably). Oh yeah, and how can you request a Midnight ID card when you're still not back in there yet? Or did I miss something?
Back on topic for the 57th time, French is also particularly boring, because our teacher is mad, she only speaks in French; I find it hard to pronounce all those complicated "Je Suis" stuff; and the homework is ridicolous. I also think that it is a bit pointless really, because I don't think that I'll ever work or live in France.

Whoops, 27th of APRIL not MAY sorry covernet
I don't like Geography because our teacher is moody and stopped me going on the pcs in the lesson because:
Quote: Teacher: Today we're going on the computers!
Quote: Teacher: But not you, you can work in your book!
And she moved me away from Kryten. Moody %*^&$

Our Geography teacher is a much nicer guy. He's Scottish, and he lets us listen to the radio during lessons! He once made us listen to X FM Scotland! Oh, and about your PC problem. Are you sure that you haven't been doing illegal stuff with the geography department's computers?

although im not really bad in any subjects, i dislike Literature / Language Arts the most because of all of the writing. Im more of a math/science type of guy, because most of the answers are in a book and can be found systematically.

BIOLOGY
I HATE that class for these reasons:
1. I don't understand ANYTHING in that class
2. The teacher HATES ME
Now I know I don't always do my work and right now I KNOW I'm not passing but I have gotten 6 lunch detentions with him, and I was threatend to have an after school detention with him.
Heres what they were for:
1st detention- Not doing my work
2nd detention- Not doing my work
3rd detention- Not doing my work
4th detention- Not doing my work
5th detention- He didn't think I knew anything in the class (which is kinda true lol but still a detention COME ON!)
6th detention- He needed to see how I was doing (just because I wanted to drop out of biology but still come on a DETENTION?)
Well...thats basically why I HATE Biology

I hate spanish.
I don't understand it at all nor do I have any desire to. I have had two spanish teachers, neither of them have done a very good in teaching me spanish. The first one didn't do anything at all, but I got a good grade because he had easy tests. He went off to become a priest. The second one doesn't do much either, but her tests are extremely hard and I am failing now.

I only have one thing to say: "MAY MATH CLASS BE DESTROYED AND ALL TRACES OF IT'S EXISTENCE FOREVER ERASED FROM THIS PLANET!!!!"
Seriously, I HATE math with a raging passion. What were the ancient Egyptians thinking when they came up with this disgustingly bland idea, anyway? And I'm getting a time machine, starting it up, going back to like 1601 or whatever, and whipping Pathagorus's sorry behind! That jerk's mind-numbing theorems are why I have to take an extra math class next year!! Hear that Pathagorus? I'm coming for you, you mideavel poser!!! Mark my words!!!!

Pythagoras wasn't from the dark ages, he was from Ancient Greece, like 500-something BC. And despite the annoyances of math, without it we'd all be in a very dark, very dull, very computer-less place.

Yeah. It's useful and important, but mind-numbingly dull for most people that I can think of. I can't stand staring at things like 3=7v (6th) x=21, however important they are. And I'm yet to find a practical use for algebra (by practical, I mean used in eveyday life by ordinary people).

Just to put in my 2 cents. French & English are my least favorite classes. If you know how to speak english, then way take a class over it. French is just a pain and the only reason why I take it is to have collages look at it and go hey he did French.

They teach English so that you can speak properly. Though how this seems to work, I have no idea. It's also important to hammer in a love of books at an early age, so English makes kids want to read. Sometimes anyway. Never seems to in my year group.

I think Maths is like playing a musical instrument. You're not going to get a job for it, but it shows you are clever, work hard and know skills.

If an English class exists to make you want to read, then they have failed most miserably. On that note, why does the "Composition" class I signed up for require me to read 3 books over the summer and 50 pages a day in school? I took "Composition" over "Brit Lit" for the purpose of avoiding having to read ye olde crapptastic literature that you couldn't pay me to read of my own free will.

OXYMORON ALERT!
That's not an insult by the way. Look it up in a dictionary. If you were payed, you wouldn't be doing it volunterily, so it would not be of your own free will. Tut, tut.

Well I love science, but this year I had a bad teacher. I used to not like social studies that much but my teacher was the best in teh world this year. Anyways, my least favourite is usually Language Arts/English. I'm just not good at coming up with good stories. I can't write a piece that gets higher than an Apprentice.
