In the USA today we have off from school because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He helped abolish the unfair treatment of African-Americans. Some racist white dude(I forgot his name...) Shot him on this day a while back(Forgot what year). So a moment of silence to him Post your thoughts here. |

Yes, I salute him, and not only for the day off from school. Supposedly, he was shot by James Earl Ray, but this website claims otherwise. It's actually quite interesting. |

in england we dont celabrate the life of D.R M.L.K. J.R day. but we spend an entire hour on hislife.....quite depressing if you think about all the stuff hes dun |

That's bad actually, like you Mitch, I am but a humble English gentleman, and yet my knowledge regarding this man is very sparse indeed. I think it should be more thouroughly taught. |

All of my friends in school are darker colors but were homies and that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for MLKJR. He is a hero. |

I celbrate M.L.K.J.R day in Hawaii, I gets a day off school. He really was an awesome person that I wish was better known. |
