I wanted to see how many of you are in college. If you've gotten your degree already then you can just say that you have graduated. I'm a freshman at Florida state college. People still mistake it for Florida state university. |

With any luck I'll be attending McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for their social science program. Planning for a double major in gerontology and health studies. I'd like to eventually do something in medicine or health care. I'm not sure what yet, but I have a few years before I really have to decide. I also applied to a life science program there (major in biomedical science) but I don't think I'll get in. I also applied to a health science program at another university. Fingers crossed! |

Not at the moment I'm not, but I'm hoping to attend the Culinary Institute of America, or the New England Culinary Institute to get a Culinary Arts degree. |

Pokemaniac wrote: Wow. Your attending McMaster? I live not all to far from there. Hopefully attending, and lucky you! There's actually a rather large university right in town (28,000 undergrads, compared to Mac's 24,000) and it's fairly respectable but I just don't want to go there. I know the campus pretty well and I have a dozen legitimate reasons for not wanting to go there (and two dozen illegitimate ones too). There's actually a bus stop a 5 minute walk from my house that drives all through the university. Actually, step on any bus here and there's a 50/50 chance you'll end up there. Then again, there's that other university I applied to. And I'm kind of having second thoughts for writing it off completely. Dammit. .... dammit. |

I'm going to Suffolk University in Boston, but I'm spending my freshman year at their Madrid campus. I'm studying Spanish; I want to be a Spanish professor. I'm really excited about living in Spain for a year. |

*bumps* After four years of being out of school, I've finally decided to go back. Got all my financial aid requirements in order, entry exam finished, and classes registered. Unfortunately I'm a bit rusty at math after being out of school for so long, so I was placed in a "basic algebra" course and I have to take another after that and they're not required for my major. It sucks but I guess it's the price I have to pay for being out of it so long. On the bright side, I did do well enough on the entry exam to gain entry into English classes, so I've registered for that as well. I have three classes in the fall semester, doing only part time because I currently work a full time job at Walmart. The nice thing about third shift is my hours and days are always set into stone, so I know I'll be free on the days I need off (Tuesday and Wednesday) and I'll always be able to attend my morning classes. My schedule is: Tuesday: Composition I (8am to 9:15am) Beginning Algebra (9:30am to 10:45am) Wednesday: Computer Operations (8am to 10:40am) Thursday: Composition I (8am to 9:15am) Beginning Algebra (9:30am to 10:45am) Yeah, Tuesdays are going to be rough. I have to work at Walmart Monday night from 10pm to 7am then go DIRECTLY to school for an 8am class. Wish me luck~ Oh, and I attend Northwest State Community College, hoping to get a degree in CompSci (rofl wimminz in that field) |

I'll be heading up to Raleigh to go to NC State in the fall. The plan right now is to study Engineering, since NCSU has one of the better programs in the southeast US. I don't really know what specific field I want to focus on, though. I still have to get a bunch of stuff done like placement tests, ew. |

I have recently completed my first year of study of Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. I'm not all too interested in engineering itself but my program is more theory focused and I suppose having a Bachelor of Applied Science may be beneficial in the future. I plan to major in Engineering Physics when the time comes, which is essentially theoretical physics and math with some design courses. I also have the opportunity to do a 12 to 16 month internship after 3rd year and would like to do one internationally in either Asia, Australia/Oceania or at CERN if possible. |
