Well right now my house has been 'infested' with these small millipedes. Luckly these are harmless and small, but are rather annoying. Sometimes there are be two or three live ones in a room at the same time. Apparently they come out through the small cracks in the walls in the house. Fortunately an exterminator came today and sprayed the house so they will eventually die. Right now I haven't been seeing any so it's working.

But these were nowhere as annoying as a dirt dobber 'infestation' last summer. Dirt dobbers look a lot like wasps, but aren't as vicious. Either way, they're not good. They came in through the cracks in our house somehow and must have made a nest or something. From there they eventually would get into our house and fly up to this one window and try to get out. There would be one or two dirt dobbers every day on this window, and I would get the flyswatter and try to kill them. And as said in an earlier topic, the day I got my wisdom teeth out, I was sleeping and one of these dirt dobbers FLEW into my room and I had to sneak around it to escape my room. Eventually we plugged up some of the holes outside our house so no more could get in. Although the ones inside would still be there, once those die out, there would be no more. And once we left for a summer trip and back, there was no more dirt dobbers whatsoever.

So has something like these ever happened to you?

@KC: Or as egoraptor says in Castlevania 1 vs Castlevania 2 Sequelitis, 'Throw perfume on the ground and make **** smell nice.' Just a thought.
I actually like millipedes. Especially this one: {caterpie}
I know, I know. Thats not a millipede! Its a worm. But its close.
Have you ever heard of box elder bugs and asian beetles (similar to ladybugs)? They were an-noy-ing!

I sometimes see Silverfish around the house. They make chills come up my spine because they are just so... disgusting looking. Really. Google it.

Mosquitos are also a great annoyance. They somehow sneak in and bite you when you're unaware. Once I woke up to find that one had been feasting on my arm while I was asleep.

Ugh. I **** hate mosquitoes. I slaughtered one last year. It was just sitting on my wall like "Durr... I'mma bite when you fall asleep!" and I was like "Hell **** no!" and I slapped it with my mocassin's shoelace. Blood was everywhere! It got mutilated! It's body shape was imprinted on the lace, its head on the wall, a leg attached to the wall, and I can still easily see where the rest of it is by where the blood is on my wall! It was fun. I dont like mosquitoes.

You mad, bro? You seem a bit edgy lately. And no, I will not, because that requires work and besides, I like it there. It reminds me of my greatest mosquito kill, which is like a sport to me. I live in a rural area, so theyre everywhere!

Mosquitoes are a minor concern for me at the moment, because I've been receiving much wet weather lately and mosquitoes hate being out in the rain.
Summer is the worst though, it's mosquito season at it's best.

In the summer a year or two back, I had a bad weevil infestation. Luckily they're gone now, but ever since we've had an ant infestation.

Mosquitoes lay their eggs in water, especially shallow pools. Chances are you're about to have more than your care for with the wet season.

Mayflies or "Canadian Soldiers" are a problem here every once in a while, mostly in Sandusky and the islands. There were a couple of years where ladybugs were out of control, but no one did much about that because they're harmless and the state insect. Thousands of them everywhere though... it was kind of cool. I don't kill mosquitoes or other similar insects. I only kill things that threaten my home or life.

Which is why I love the winter! No damn bugs! Just last night I killed a spider. And this spider was creepy. I was *cough* "hanging out" with my gf (If you would call it that) and I felt something crawling on my leg. I just shook it off and pretended it was my imagination. About 1/2 hour later, the damn thing crawls across her bed! I killed it, of course, but it was just- Blah!
