What's the thing you are most afraid of? Have you gotten over it yet? Mine is getting booster shots. When I was little, the nurse came in to give me my first shots, and she shoved them in my face and made me watch. I was paranoid of shots ever since, until today when I had to get a booster. (My mom still can't feel her hand...) It didn't hurt half as much as I remembered...afterward, I got ice cream cuz my mom and dad know that I was paranoid and didn't scream ^_^ Another is this really creepy person from this one game I played (Paramedics, i think). She had had an asthma attack, and was super-skinny and blue...i had nightmares for weeks after I saw her. One I don't think I'll ever get over is arachnaphobia (spelling?). I hate spiders. One bit me once, and I got a huge welt. (I pull the legs off of daddy-long-legs, though ^_^) Also, I hate bees and wasps (Although I take a flyswatter and smash the wasps on the wood fence we have-it's a great stress reliever ^_^) Finally, deep water. In third grade we had to take a swim test...Well, let's just say that the day before it was over I passed the test (and I was super paranoid of being in 12-foot deep water without a lifejacket...i mean, i stay away from water cuz I hate it...when am I ever gonna have to swim?) Yours? |

I hate wasps/bees. Can't stand them. If I see one, and I have bugspray, I'll drown it. I used to be scared of heights and airplanes, but I'm not anymore. Yay. |

Well I used to be really afraid of morons. But after spending so much time here I've pretty much gotten rid of that fear. However, I am afraid of the unknown. It's just mindboggling to think about. ...Wasn't there a very similar topic to this one not that long ago? |

I laugh myself sick at this nowadays, but I used to have a completely irrational fear of my very good friend sN0wY! I still can't believe that I used to fear him so much.. I really don't get it anymore I wouldnt call it a 'fear', but I have this thing with being very high and coming straight down very fast - I dont like it. Rides like the Space Probe in the old Wonderland or roller coasters that have very very steep drops are not good at all. Lol, I was scared of sN0wY... *shakes head* That's hilarious.. |

Man that was the freakiest encounter anyone can ever have with a spider, save for Harry Potter and Ron's encounter with Aragog *shudders* |

I once found a snake in a creek, I picked him up and took him home. I used to play with the spiders out in my garage. I own 2 gerbils and I keep begging my mom for a rat but she won't let me have one. Is there an animal I fear more than a snake?! Yes. I am scared to death of Leeches. When I used to hang out at the creek with my friends, they threw a stick at me from behind. It hit my leg, and they started screaming "AMBER THERES A LEECH ON YOU." I ran screaming and almost fell, but I managed to only cut my foot open on a rock. |

Cockroaches. Large beetles and moths and stuff like that, I can handle. But cockroaches, even the smaller ones, just creep me the heck out. Once this huge bug landed on my windowsill, and I totally freaked out because I was sure it was a cockroach, but when I got closer, I noticed that it was just a very large stag beetle, and I calmed down. When those cockroaches come-a knocking, though, I totally freak. And what's worse, they can FLY. So, they fly right into the room through the open window, and I like launch myself out the door. I was sitting at the computer this one time, and I look up and there's the biggest cockroach I'd ever seen sitting on the printer. I froze. It was so BIG, and it was like right there in front of my face. Luckily, I left the bug spray from the last cockroach in the room on the desk, so, slowly reaching over, I gave it this HUGE spray right in the face, practically emptying the can on it. But it was so big I had to give it a few more sprays to kill it. I hate them right when you spray them, because then they go zooming around the room at supersonic speeds, rolling and twitching around. It's really scary. That's about the only thing that totally creeps the bejesus out of me, though. I don't fear spiders, or bees, or heights or closed places or anything like that. |

I'm scared of snakes, spiders, worms, just basically any bug. I'm fine with heights, I've jumped off a 10ft wall before. I don't like roller coasters. I get sick every time on go on them. I used to be afraid of the dark. I still can't stand it, but not to the point of i go hysterical about it. I would tell you the story but that is off topic. |

I used to be afraid of spiders, but then somehow I convinced myself to pet a tarantula. No I don't have a fear of them. I'm still afraid of heights though. :/ |

I really don't get it anymore That would be: snowahphobia I hate spiders. They're light, fast, and scary looking. I can't handle the fact that one could crawl on me at any minute, any where. I hate the fact that people can get bit by them, and get sick. I hate how fast they are, their speed only postpones their death, and it's really annoying. I want absolutely nothing to do with spiders. Ugh. *shudders* |

I use to have a huge fear of heights. But I only remember it being a problem in tall buildings; they'd feel like they were swaying, and I wouldn't be able to go to the windows and look out. I'm over that now. Umm... I'd say that I only fear being alone or failure in school now. I'm not really afraid of animals or such things, but that doesn't mean they don't creep me out. Rats kind of creep me out because they have thick, naked tails. Certain bugs only creep me out because they're filthy, like cockroaches. I wouldn't jump around and holler if I saw one of these, but I'd be hesitant to touch them, unlike spiders or other bugs. Not afraid of the dark or unknown even. I don't know many people who can walk into a basement without lights, especially mine lol. My girlfriend HATES and is scared of centipedes, but she doesn't mind millipedes, and she thinks that long tube-like millipede is actually cute (a website said it was a "dark-colored woodland" millipede, but I don't think that's right (you can buy them from pet stores)). I think she also said once that those giant Madagascar (hissing?) cockroaches are cute too. I'd post pictures, but I don't think that'd be fair in a thread like this. |

It's mainly anything below Virginia. If I remember right, the black widow just recently found it's way to Pennslyvania a few decades ago. The brown recluse is another one. But that mainly occupies Texas and nearby states. >.< |

I used to be terrified of the truth. The harsh reality of life. But recently I found out that I can forget all about it if I sit in a corner & chew my socks. Mmm socks. |

Well, I'm afraid of gigantic tripods that shot lazer beams that vaproize people and leave their clothes... War of the Worlds (05 version) just freaked me out with that. And also cameras on long moving wires... *shivers* I'm not really afraid of spiders and moths but they give me the heebeejeebees, once I was drinking a cup of milk put it down for five minutes picked it up there was this big nasty spider in it, I gave it the good 'ol dump down the drain and turned on the desposal, that's waht it gets for ruining a perfectly good cup of milk... |

Oh lol, that was a different event. The one I mentioned was far more recent. Thanks for the nostalgia, though. |
