The Case of the Vanishing Psybucks

Several times now, I've seen 2 (no more, no less) psybucks just vanish without a trace into the night. It doesn't happen to anything in the bank, just any psybucks I happen to have on hand. Does this happen to everyone? Anybody have any ideas why?
Also, while I'm here posting about psybucks, I'd like to ask why the interest rate is so low.

Mildly interesting note about this: this glitch can and will make you go into debt if it feels like it.
