I am very sorry, to any and all who loved this story, but I am here to pronounce it dead. I never ended up finishing it, in fact, I outright didn't finish it with 1 CHAPTER LEFT TO GO! It made me angry, but I've grown as a writer, and as a person, and I no longer want to be based of someone else's world for my ideas. I have ended, and now I completley make my own stories from the ground up. I thank you for those of you who read, and I thank those of you who commented. I learned so much while making this book. This is a book based around the StarCraft era. I really want your opinuin on it so this thing is broken up into two parts. Character Bio and The actual story. The character bio includes basicly info for not only the first book, The Recruitment, but also for the other two. The book is The Recruitment. Throughout the thread there will be posts (currently 2) will have pictures of the class of units and such. I hope they are helpful. In wrapup I would really aprechiate your words on the manner and such.

NEW THING! If you don't want to read it ALL and you would like to post how you feel, simply just tell me what you read (ex: chptr 1-3 or 4-5.5) and than tell me your feelings on it, what you liked or disliked, etc etc. I hope this makes it easier to voice your opinion.

OUTLINE: Ferdinand is a 17 year old boy on the small moon of Felone when a family friend Malazar comes for a visit, but in the morning Malazar discovers the evil race, Zerg, had found the planet and set up a colony. He fears they might take over the moon and the planet and surrounding planets. Unfortunatly for Ferdinand Inbags, he's dragged in to it. He joins the Confederation Army in hope of getting out of the way while the confederation takes care of the problem. But when he's put together with a ragtag bunch of soldiers, he finds himself fighting for his life while pushing them to their ends. Can Ferdinand save his planet? or will a dark Confederation secret keep him from living that long......

(this is the first in a 3 way book series)

Characters:

Ferdinand- 17 year old boy, terran race (that's human), brown hair and eyes. He becomes a marine in the confederation army. He is fearless and tries his best though is verry shy in the beggining. He takes a likeing to Janet in the first book, may I say more? He is the Protagonest (AKA the main character). He is an awsome leader.(more info comming soon)

Andorian- 29 year old man, terran race, black hair brown eyes, he his a verry respected sergent of the squad ferdinand is asigned too, he is verry observant and knows his team inside and out. He has awsome leadership skills and becomes a "brother" to Ferdinand. He is always expected to be like his legendary father, who died when Andorian was 15. In the begining and the middle of the first book he seems mean and mad all the time, but really he's covering he's real feelings.

Malazar- 194 year old male, of protoss race (highly advanced alein race), verry wise and caring. He is famous for going on dangerous adventures and known through the protoss world for his "facination with terrans". He get's Ferdinand into a wild adventure. He feels responsible for the invasion of zerg on Felone but makes up for it by "helping" Ferdinand. (more info comming soon)

Gambit- 30 year old male, terran race, bald with hazle eyes. He is verry straight forward and loves to smoke. He is a firebat in the Confederation army. Rumor has it he was one of Andorians best friends back in their accademy days. He finds "Beauty" in fire, he is obsessed with it's power.

Lime- 23 year old male, terran race, super smart and loves computers, blonde hair and hazle eyes (glasses). He is a marine in the confederation but uses a 20 mm laser cannon. He is the technoligy person on the team. It is unknown why he is called Lime and his real name is unknown. He also has expeireince with explosives, which comes in handy throughout the book.

Janet- 19 year old female, terran race. Sticks to herself over her dark past but turns out to be a verry caring person. She has black hair green eyes, she is a sniper in the confederate army, because she was one of the few who were not cut out to be ghosts. Rumor has it she joined with the help of Andorian even with the strict age requirments. She takes a liking to Ferdinand but it is not shown until the secound book.

Jim- 28 year old male, terran race, super cool and loves his music style, green mohalk with unknown eye color (sunglasses). He is a marine class 2 (uses double mini guns), Rumor has it he was friends with Andorian and Gambit back in their accadamy days. He seems to be the typical punk but he is the only one out of the team with a wife and child. No more can be said on this caracter without a spoiler. Please PM me if you wish to know.

General Mornius- 43 year old male, terran race. He is a minor General in the Confederate army. He was involved in a major accedent witch cost him his legendary ship, crew, and his body. With his injuries he was reconstructed into a metal/robot body. His only true selve is a damaged heart, lung, and his brain and eyes. Other things are missmatched throughout his body. He is Introduced in the Secound book but apears for a moment in the end of the first. I might as well tell you that he is an antagonist. (More info may develope throughout time.)

Galantar- He is a 152 year old protoss Zealot. Though seen as young in the eyes of his peers, he helps out Ferdinand while Ferdinand's visit. He helps out Ferdinand so much, he is invited to join their team in the secound book. He is a feirce fighter and a great help to Ferdinand.

Secondary characters:

Ferdinand's Father- AKA: Frank Inbags. He is a small character who only apears in the beggining and has some speaking roles at the moment. He really has no big part on it besides him and Malazar were good friends and Malazar brought him on a worldwind adventure much like Ferdinand's now. He has not been the best parent to Ferdinand.(more info may develope later in the book series)

Brock- He is comic releif! He is a terren male, 29 years of age, he apears in the secound book but only for a bit. He than apears in the third and joins the gang for the final battle. He is dim witted and over confedint. He thinks he rocks and is a lady killer, though stupid he is musculer and has little fear (though he does often get "freaked out" and scared). His plans often go wrong. His face is never seen, always hidden within a space helmet. He is an unknown class of confederate soldier.

Captain Tucker Templer- This is an idea for a rebel leader that is against the Confederation that apears in the secound book. Knowing they're dark secrets this band goes against the confederation. Gambit meets up with them in a series of weird events and they soon come up with Gambit and the gang (main characters) are doing the same cause, he helps Gambit servive on the feirce planet were they find him 'till they do a final attack in the thrid book. (more info WILL come around about this character)

Zantar- 200 year old male, protoss. He is part of the protoss council. He is great friends with Malazar but finds terran foolish and a waste of time. Though he is introduced in the first book he gets his importance in the secound. I can tell you why but it would spoil the secound and some of the first.

Ghost- He is a mysterius character. He is completly unknown besides he is a ghost in the Confederate Army. He is hired by General Mornius to destroy Ferdinand and his gang in the third book. (more information might devolope as I get closer to the end of the secound)

Mini Characters:

General Duke- He is the only character that is from the original starcraft series. He is the general of the confederates, though not a big part in the books he does show up in the games. He is not really mentioned or apears besides common anouncements to confederate soldiers throughout the books. Malazar refers to him as an idiot that knows nothing of the troubles of the Galixy.

Vic- He is a character who works for Launch Patrol/ Launch Command/ Launch Control. He has several profiles and accents throughout the book series.

Marshal Tex- He is the cocky marshal in the first book who is stuck on the fact that he needs to fight and go down fighting. He is also opsessed with being the boss.

Smalls- He is a rebel soldier in Templar's squad. He is a midget that has a modified marine's suit to make him look normal size. He is also a technolidgy genuis.

Krunk- a rebel soldier in Templar's squad. He is verry strong but doesn't want to kiil. He is dim witted.

Snipes- A rebel soldier in Templar's squad. He is an ex theif and is an awsome pick pocket. His chosen weapon is an upgraded automatic pistol and knife combo.

Fred and Derf- He is a rebal soldier in Templar's squad. He has a split personality. Fred is a more calm one who is nicer to everyone and looks up to Templar like a father. Derf is evil and has plans to rule the Confederation. Derf also loves to be destructive and loves a challenge.

Lt. Corway- He was the leader of Andorian and his gang before Ferdinand and Malazar came along. He died deffending a base called Mars Sara. He was one of the few who actually knew Andorian's father personally and because of that, becomes a father figure for Andorian when Andorian's father dies.

Warrent Officer Bigbee- He was just a small Warrent Officer that you see in the first book but I decided to stretch him throughout the book series and even make him Mornius's henchman.

Omega- Blonde hair, hazel eyed Ghost that was an old friend of Janet's. When Janet goes looking for some answers, she finds Omega, AKA York. With his help, since he's an actual Ghost, they infiltrate a Confederate Data Building in the city and learn the location of a Zerg main base.

Dinamictra- He's the computer prototype program that Omega uses to help him with "jobs". He was a prototype "marine helper" when he was stolen by York. He and York have become friends and he is super smart and know almost anything about anything, about the Terran race at least. His highly in tuned sensors can give perfect information about almost anything that's happening around him.

Degorath- A protoss in the protoss council who dislikes Terran, even more than regular Protoss standards. He seems to have a grudge with the Terran race and dislikes any idea of helping them. He even requests the death of Ferdinand for comming to the council for help. He also supports the idea of a new "conclave" idea that threatans the Protoss council.

Book Layout:

The Recriutment- Beggining book, sets the setting. It introduces you to the chracters and the situation. It shows the Confederate secret and shows how Ferdinand get's his "new vigor". It is supposed to get you into the whole Starcraft world and understand the terran and a little of the Zerg. (more info. shale surface)

A New Alliance- Secound book. It will show Ferdinand's skill as a leader. It mainly introduces the Protoss and makes the Confederate's dark secret a little more clear. Ferdinand and company are proclaimed trators or the Confederation and are attacked by Squad Alpha. This also introduces a band of rebels that help Gambit out in the dessert and are a bigger part in the third book. The Protoss lend Ferdinand some troops and Ferdinand's rebelion is proclaimed. (more info shale turn up again)

The Third Book- This is the finale! This is the last battle against the Confederates and a hearoic attempt to stop the confederation in their schemes. This introduces the Zerg a bit more and show's their ferocity in battle. This will also show what Ferdinand is made of as the book does have more sad parts in it than ANY OTHER!!! There are alot of deaths but that is a spoiler and I'll shut up about it now.(more info comming soon)


I do know the endings to my books (that is sad) and I will be happy to tell anyone any of it (sadder) but I do say it may spoil the series. If you want an indepth discription on any character or want to know more about starcraft please PM me and I'll fill you in or give you a link. Feedback or replies are wanted to have what you liked/ hated about it and why. This will go with what was said in the rules thread. BTW this is rated PG-13 for teens of 13+. Have fun reading it!

Just make sure you dont have too many characters. If you do, shape them very clearly and have great grammar and you should be fine!

yes, this whole character thing is for the WHOLE book series. though some of them die and many of them are small characters (barely shown) but good grammer is what I'm gonna do. I now have a book reveiw and I hope you guys like it. I also added on to all of the character bios. Now alot of people havn't been posting so I hope you guys would post something. Even if it wasn't much every one's opiniun counts to me, so please don't be shy.

Now here's the book!!!!!! It is not the full first chapter but it is good enough for now to introduce Ferdinand and Malazar. This will also give you an idea of the surroundings. Hope you like it.

Chapter 1: The coming of Greatness

Ferdinand sat by his reading tree, out in the middle of the nearby forest were no one could bother him. He could never get over how long he could be out there and read before any one paged him. He was reading a very good book. It was about a family of Terrans who got stranded on a lost planet and discovered a Protoss family there too, so they have to work together to survive. He loved it so far. As he read he noticed a small engine rumble getting slowly loader and loader. He marked the place in his book and stood up. He had brown hair and brown eyes, he was about 5' 5" tall and was around 155 pounds. He was a well built 17 year old terran and always grew up with adventure. It really wasn

It's a bit hard to read, try double spacing your paragraphs. Be sure to start a new paragraph every time someone else starts speaking, no matter how short the paragraph is. Ferdinand seems to be a bit of a Gary-Stu to me, but like I said in Miasma's book post, I'm abnormally picky.

Chapter 2: A Discovery of Doom
The next morning, Malazar stopped by the Inbags house and picked up Ferdinand and went on their usual trip. Every time Malazar came for a visit he and Ferdinand went on a long trip that took them out of the vicinity of Hatrin and out into the world of Felone, the small moon of the planet Rater. They usually went a good 100 miles an hour until they were a good ways away than they slowed down to a 40 mph so they could talk. They talked about a lot of things. School, Hatrin, Ferdinand

Chapter 3: Recruitment into the Confederacy

As the shuttle pulled in pulled up to the space station, Ferdinand realized why it was called the Halo space station. It was a round space station the branched out into a ring that went around the station. The ring was actually a giant docking bay. Since the transport was just visiting it went directly to a small docking bay at the main station. It docked and the piolets voice said,

Chapter 4: The Team
Ferdinand looked around the room. There were five people looking at them. There were four men around a small table in the middle of the room playing cards. One was a big man, bald, and was smoking a cigar. Another was a taller, more skinny man with black hair. Next to him was a blonde man with glasses. He had a laptop in front of him. The last one was a man with a green mohawk and dark Sunglasses. In the corner of the room was a girl with long, black hair. She was sitting by a bed in the corner of the room. They were all paused and looking at Ferdinand and Malazar.

The silence gave Ferdinand time to look around the room. There were 7 beds, 5 taken and 2 empty. One had a gauss rifle on it similar to Ferdinand

Ok guys, I decided not to post the 5th chapter just yet, I want to get far in the 6th before I do, so I decided to introduce you to the starcraft world myself a bit. Here are some pics.

The Terran Marine is the backbone of the confederacy. The Characters of this class are: Ferdinand, Andorian, and Lime and Jim are Marine class 2.



The Terran Firebat is a feared worrier on the battle field. They use their Flamethrowers to reak havoc apon the poor souls who meet them. The characters who are this class are: Gambit.






The terran ghost is a very dangerous unit. They use stealth and acuracy to bring swift death to their targets. Though there are no ghosts on Ferdinand's team, Janet is a sniper. Though failing to succeed as a ghost, she kept on as a terran sniper.








A Protoss worrier, the protoss are highly advance beings who will stop at nothing to save their homeworld or their honor. The only Protoss in the Group is Malazar.

Chapter 5: Backgrounds of Soldiers

Ferdinand awoke very lightly the next morning. He waited because he could hear the talking of the others. He stayed low while he listened.

Chapter 6: Saddle Up Your Horses

The next morning Ferdinand had his bag sent down to the storage area and he got into his suit. For the first time he was actually in a marine

Ok everyone. I know alot of you could care less about my book and only 1 person is really following it but just to notify people I have updated the first post quit a bit. One of the additions is a new Smaller Characters section. This is a section for all of the smallest characters that I decided to reconoize. I am up to the eighth chapter but I'm going to wait a bit before really doing some major posting. I will post the seventh chapter but be aware that this may be the last for a while.

Before I do there is one thing I would like to say. The seventh chapter has alot of things in it that set the scene for the rest of the book series and for the whole starcraft world in general. It gives us their mission, of coarse, it show's us Andorian's struggle in life. It's biggest thing is it show's how the protoss look at the Terran race. The human race through others eyes. It is also a MAJOR forshadowing chapter. One of the more important chapters is going to come, showing that Andorian isn't really a very bad guy. but that has a ways to go.

Ok, here it is. The seventh installment to StarCraft: The Recruitment.


Chapter 7: The Mission

Ok, CHAPTER EIGHT IS ON THE WAY. It's done, I'm just not ready to post it yet. it and chapter 9 (almost donw tih) have to be the BEST PARTS OF THE BOOK. thrown with sadness, action, and suspense. Ok, Here are some things I fortgot to show you. 1) the Zerg. 2) some of the veicles. I can't get a picture of the Helghast 3 bit I will try to get other terran veicals. Ok, the new things are:

Zerg Hydralisk are the backbone of the Zerg forces. they are the most common/ the second best unit they have.

Zerglings are the mini unit of the Zerg forces. Though easily defeated, they are feared in numbers.

Ultralisk is the most feared Unit of the Zerg forces. They sheer size and streangth are enough to take on a squad of marines and Firebats alone. They are not a big part of the book but do show up (not in first)

Confederate Marine is the backbone of the conferderacy. Theri armor makes them scarier, stronger, faster, and any other ERS you can think of. This is a cool detailed picture.

Terran Wraith is the main force in any space/air battle situation. This is a bad pic but get over it.

Battle Cruisers are the battle stations of the confederacy. verry feared, and very respected. A caption of one is highly respected. This is a bad picture of one, I know. The one I wanted to get I couldn't.

Chapter 8: Into the Pit

Ferdinand looked at the Argo. It was a small station compared to Halo Station but it was closer together. It was thick with 2 parts. One was a thick area where the docking bays were located. Then there was a skinny part that held a catwalk to the other section, which was much smaller. There were several other small station like areas connected with other catwalks and the whole thing was connected together. Unlike Halo Station, there was not a single light on. It gave the place an eerie feel in the opaque darkness of space. Lime and Jim piloted perfectly around it waiting for Andorian

Ok, I'll be leaving for Gorgia in November and I won't be on for a good amount of time. So I decided to hurry up and post what I get done. Here's the most awsome chapter 9 and one of my pride and joy.





Chapter 9: Casualties of the Argo



They kept running threw the catwalk. Every so often Gambit would stop to hold back the oncoming Zerg forces. They saw the end of the catwalk. Andorian spotted the Door Close button and aimed for it. Ferdinand ran through, Andorian skidded to the side and waited for Gambit to run threw. He slammed the Door Close button as the door slammed on the opposing Zerg. Ferdinand noticed Malazar and Janet had waited for them here. The Zerg began to pound on the door, giving it a good amount of dents a buckles.

This chapter may not be OK with all veiwers. It is only a very good chapter that is ONE OF THE BEST EVER!


Chapter 10: Homecoming


When they reached Halo Station they all got out of the ship and headed to do several tasks. Gambit and Lime went to turn in Jim
