"Master, reporting!"

You hear purring, the swish of a chair, and the sound of an evil laugh resounding throughout a windowless room. A second later, the sound of a pressed button follows the noises, and the room lights up.

"Yes?" This voice was harsh, gravelly, yet for it's age carried the sound of power and authority well.

"Well, Giovanni -"

"Master, remember?" The voice somehow sounding even colder then usual.

"A brief slip, Master." This person said, recovering his confidence. "Project Alpha Command is in the final stages, Master."

"How fast may we hasten it's execution?"

"We have captured an Alakazam, Master. We can corrupt it in a day and have the information laid bare by tomorrow morning."

"At last, we will end this frustrating research and get to action!"

The ringing sound of a cell phone rang from the servant's pocket.

"Yes?"

"Proceed with Shadow Insertion sequence."

*BEEP*

"Your subordinates?"

"Yes. We will be closing Alakazam's heart right now." The scientist gives a sigh of obvious exhilaration. "Our Shadow technology has grown exponentially, Master."

"Those Cipher goons were good for something. I swear I missed a heartbeat there."

"Indeed. Those daft fools. A vast covert group sabotaged by a teenager?"

"Not as shaming as Team Galaxy sabotaged by a -"

"Child. You can really say that was "Child's play" there."

*MEOW*

"I must cut this conversation short. I must rest, for tommorrow will be filled with accomplishments, and I must be strong for the coming day."

"Yes. Master, what will be my reward?"

"The Shadow Alakazam. He's yours, after we have absorbed his knowledge. Now leave me."

"Yes, Master." The mysterious scientist walks out, the electronic steel-titanium door shutting tight. The lights turn off, and Giovanni feeds the Persian and prepares for the following day.....

Wow, this is going to be a good one. Can't wait for the next one!

Tonight is quite turbulent for Giovanni. You see him groaning in determination and fury, his arms outstretched and his hands squeezing shut and reopening. His face is not calm, but distorted from intense concentration and rage.

"ARGGGGGGGGGGGGH!" Giovanni jets out his right index finger at an invisible object. His left hand is reaching for his belt. "YOU WILL BE MINE!"

But then Giovanni wakes up, panting heavily, oversurged with energy and very angry. His Persian seems supremely unbothered in his sleep. "The dream again!" Giovanni turns on the light, navigating his dark room by memory alone. "I can't figure this out! I hate to admit it, but it looks like I'll have to turn to a subordinate to stop these nightmares!"

You hear a phone being harshly jerked from it's base, it's wires strained from the force he used. "Left wing guard commander? Good, you are up and active. Wake the lead librarian now."

"WHAT? A concussion? A fallen shelf? Let me guess, she's comatose too." *Silence*

"I thought so. Wait until morning? This requires immediate attention. I will need a substitute. Get me the best pokemon researcher that you can raise. By what means? Let's just say that I reward those who show loyalty to me and do not ever so conveniently suffer a coma at the last second!"

*BEEP*

I love it when suspense holds you in suspense.
