I went to lolstop forums and I've noticed they have Sub-Forums in some of their sections. For example, in the Fanworks section, they have Sub-Forums for Fan Sprites, Fan Comics and Fanart....

I was looking at our Fanworks Section and I've realised its a bit messed up. Isn't it possible for PsyPoke to have Sub-Forums as well, to make things a bit clearer and organized?

If it is possible, don't you think its a good idea?

Sub-forum options are not available to phpbb users unless they download the correct MOD. It is possible, and I think the E4 should take it into consideration, though.

I hope they do, our Fanworks Section is completely chaotic... I thought about that phpbb thingy, but I wasn't sure, so I asked. I'm happy to know it turned out a good question.

It would definitely help, a sub-forum for Graphics; RP's, then the rest for stories and whatnot. If I can locate the MOD I'll post it.

I agree, at the E4 (see the ad in my sig) we have 2 sub forums, they work a little wierd on proboards so I only have 2, once I get the hang of it more'll come, we have a missingno and glitches SF in the RBY discussion and an RP discussion (where post count's not effected) in the Activities forum.

hmmm.... it's a good idea it think, they should make them, one for RPs one for graphics and then the rest just for the whatever anyone else wants post.

all of them are Forums. A Sub-Forum is like a specified Forum inside another one: for example, we could have FanArts, FanSprites....

Then, it would be, like...

Fanworks --> FanArts FanSprites FanComics RPs

I don't know if it's worth getting a subforum. Why not just make another forum for it? I'd probably just stick all these forums in the right category. The thing is when we decided to do a Fanworks forum, I didn't anticipate there being so much contribution because previous Fanworks forums didn't work out very well.

I'm not keen on installing mods because each time I have to update, I need to reinstall the mods.

And if you want to make suggestions about the forums and/or site, you're most welcome to do so, just directly PM me or Amphy about it. If we think it's a good idea, we'll ask around and see, then we'll think about putting the idea into motion.

Awww....okay....At least, I got my answer. Thanks (though I'm just a bit dissapointed...). Anyway, Elite 4 decides what's best for Psypoke, it was just a suggestion.

Well I'm not completely ruling out sub forums, but tell me, what's the difference between having a sub-forum and having a new forum? Is there actually a significant difference that I have to download this mod and install it?

huumm....didn't think about that...Well, I guess it doesn't make much difference, anyway. I was just a bit worried that our FanWorks Section would remain in chaos: the first thing I thought about on how to make it organized was Sub-Forums....

I do appreciate you taking the time to give us suggestions though. And I agree with you, the Fanworks forum is getting cluttered. Something tells me the discussion in this thread will not be going to waste 8)
