Post subject: | Spriting |
Okay, for sprites on Photoshop go to Spriting 101 at Team Rockets Rockin, for sprites on paint, read this. The words have changed, but the steps have not. These are the instructions I gave Kryten and someone else whos name I cannot remember. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/bobashotmace/Steps.bmp" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> 1. Find 2 sprites, for this demonstration I will be using an FRLG butterfree and mew. You may want to do this along with me. 2. Pick whatever part of sprite X you want to put on Sprite Y, for this demonstration I will be putting Mews tail on Butterfree. 2. (b) Ignore this step for sprite where you can rip the whole peice off in one move, if you cannot, like with the tail, rip it off in the biggest peices you can, careful not to move any of the main sprite. 3. Ignore if you ripped it off all at once. If you had to take it in peices, then put it back together like a puzzle. 4. drag Sprite Y onto piece X, or piece X onto Sprite Y in some cases 5. Recolor piece X to match Sprite Y, doing the lightest color on sprite Y with the lightest on peice X and continuing in that manner till the end. 6. Hey, your done, plus, if you did this, now you have a nifty tailess mew! |

If you want I could make it transperant so that if you decide to post this in the E4 it won't have to be psypoke colored. |

got it covered, I looked at the E4 before I started and but in new text, it's in white so it'll be fine for here and the E4. Also I cleaned up the sprites so the sheet isn't as messy. Heck why waste time here it is: |

You know you COULD make transparency for those unfortunate souls who don't have Photoshop. (Like me, my stuff badly needs a transparency maker) You could run your own transparency service even. |

MS paint can do a bit of transparency. Just like select the image you want to be transparent, then click Image then click Draw Opaque then it either goes Opaque or Transparent depending if uve used it before on the same item. |

your welcome everybody! Glad to see I've done sometin good. PS About the draw opaque, that ain't really transparency at all, and heres a better way then going on the menus! When you select the selct tool, look below the tools, ther'll be 2 yellow boxes, the one its selected on is one thing, if you say draw opaque it'll change to the other, or you can just click on the other, if you don't get me I'll post a screenshot. |

I get what you mean, the two boxes at the bottom that change for every tool. Thanks |
