Okay, this is offically opened, just be sure to follow the rules ( Some are listed below and all are listed in this topic ).

Also each of these, will now be in separate topcis, it's just easier to read them like this, then together all in one topic.

This Round's theme is All, meaning anything is allowed in here, i.e Avatars, Animations, Banners, Sigs, etc. There may be rounds later on, only for Avatars, Sigs, etc.

Also since School is starting up and people are busier, this round will be TWO WEEKS instead of one for each part.

There's also going to be someone very special rating in this round.

Only Post 5 Pictures total, you may edit you pictures, but you must do it before the second week/weeks of the round.
And please put them in 1 post, if you don't i'll have to edit it and i'm busy enough as it is.

(Note: The times are U.S Central)
The Art Commentators will not be competing, they'll only give out points at the end of the second week.

The Commentators for this round: RaichuLatias, Mr. Minish, Star, Galar, Darkkend and Amphy.

Flannery will be competing, so she won't be Rating for this round.

At the end of the Round, I'll post the scores of who got points, and who becomes a Club Admin.

It's not about the animation(don't think it as what the animation is). It's just to show the pencil I drew in different directions, I tried doing shades and stuff(drewen on hand on MS Paint, Transparenfied and Animated in Photoshop.), The shades kinda worked out and made it look 3D. Anyway, I made it animated to show it in different directions without saving multiple pictures, NOT to show the animation's Fancyness. I didn't take anything from any website, just drawing with the good old Pencil Tool.
--Note: Yeh, I know it's weird, just showing the pencil I drew, I thought of drawing the pencil because of this school thing coming up in my head.--I Know this is the first time I drew stuff with shades, it's not that good.</center>

Here's a sig I just made earlier tonight.



This sig is about a year old. It's a sig I made for someone at NNow.



oh man. How I loved this one. I believe I entered this one in NNow's first signature competition. That was about 2 years ago though.



This sig might look simple, but it took a really long time to make. One reason being that both images were made by scratch. The beam, and the planet. I think I still have the full size image of the beam somewhere. The end result was amazing.

Okay, since I figured out the forum colour I've gone wild with transparency.

This is a weird little creation I made when I was bored. It's a combination of 1...2...3... about 6 different Pokemon recoloured. Bet you can't guess! For some reason the name Bohemian Rhapsody struck me as suitable for it. I don't know why:

I quite like this one. The Trainers I adapted myself, and I recoloured both the Trainers and the Pokemon, then put them in a cool lake scene.

I appologize for not submitting anything new, but I've been really busy lately. Hopefully, when I start school I'll have some more stuff. I'm also excited 'cause I'm finally getting Painter. Now my lines will look more weighted and less...flat. >_O;;


This was my very first Photoshop picture, and I still love it. It's a silhouette of Silvien's dragon form. He's one of my oldest RP characters.


This picture was one big expiriment...literally. I was trying a new lighting and shading technique, which didn't turn out the way I wanted, but I thought looked good nonetheless. It's Ulrick, another RP character from my angel story. He's always getting himself into...uh...bizarre situations. >_>


Joelret, or just Joe. He's the King of Dragons in my dragon story. This was done in Flash 'cause I used it in a movie for animation class...and I just really liked it for some reason.

Gah i hope i have a chance to win......

I've been working on something for weeks, but it really doesn't look right to me. Nonetheless, I couldn't get it fixed. There's so many things I don't like, but I'll submit it anyway, for the sake of the things I do like.

This won't be a normal posting for me, either. There aren't 5 different CGs. I'm going to give you a little insight to the method of my madness. Not great for points, no, but I can't get a higher rank I'm told, so I'm going to have some fun and maybe inspire someone else to try CGing.

Step Zero: Before you even start, you need a source. I'm a big fan of Fred Gallagher's work, and Hayasaka Erika is a standard fan-favorite. I might just make a fan outta you before this post is done..

Step One: Start out by making a rough color layout so that you know how the colors will look together. This is very important to help spot colors that, in the end, just aren't going to mesh very well. Plus, it gives you a nice color pallete to just use an eyedropper on to pick up the color that you need. Very handy.

Step Two: Begin the CG. I like to start with Skin, Eyes, Hair, and Clothes all in separate layers, and CG them in that order. It gives a realistic overlapping, you see. Your skin is on the bottom, and your eyes are over your skin (well, they're under the lids, but your face doesn't grow over your eyes ;P), your hair covers both skin and eyes, and clothes (hopefully!) cover it all. There are other layers (background, accessories, etc) that get worked on eventually too.

Step Three: Now you can finish the base CG up and add a basic background to help remove as much white space as possible. I don't know who said it, but the human eye is lazy, and will focus on any white it can because that takes the least effort. White space = bad, unless you're trying to make white things, as I am here. You'll notice that it's not pure white though; it's a light gray. At least, you will notice by the end.

Step Four: With all the color filled in, it's time to begin the easier parts of the shading. I use a simple smudging technique. Certainly not the most realistic, but it is a step above using a gradient. It accomplishes what it needs to, and I think it's a pretty cool effect. Not so much how it turned out this time, but some of the times I've used it came out VERY nice.

Step Five: All that's left now is to finish any shading (the complex stuff) and do touchup work. And then, your CG will be complete. Congratulations! You've just finished your first CG!

There's a lot more technique and theory and all that stuff that goes into it, as well as technical details that I didn't go into. But, this is the method I use. It is not the best method out there, not by a long shot. However, I feel that it is on par with what I'm capable of (and I'm not an artist in the least), and so I use it. This is, by no means, a "great CG." It's decent.. perhaps "good." Things just weren't coming together on this one.
