Finish the race.

Lined up at the start line,
pokemon small and big.
Dashing on the race track
Hoping for a win.
As the strong ones thunder down the track,
they push each other down.
They bite
they cheat
they push
they shove
until they fall to the ground.
Yet one small pokemon runs without hope.
It cannot possibly win.
But while the other pokemon fight,
it passes with a grin.
The large pokemon look up in awe
as they lie down, a waste.
How could a creature that was so slow
run at such a pace?
The little pokemon gives its all
as it reaches the finish line.
The crowd goes wild they do a cheer.
It knows it did just fine.
But as it runs the final stretch
its ankle twists and slips.
The pokemon gives an anguished cry.
The win was in its grip.
As the pokemon lies in horrible pain,
a tear rolls down its cheek.
The big pokemon won't help it now.
Its worthless, slow and meek.
To its surprise the others rise.
They offer a helping hand.
They help the pokemon onto its feet,
they try to help it stand.
To think the ones who fought so hard,
to win the race through a cheat,
would rise and help the one so small
get back onto its feet.
Trotting down the final yards,
walking side by side,
the pokemon cross the finish line
they never had so much pride.
Even when one could have won,
they all got up to aid.
The pokemon knew the important thing.
Get up and finish the race.

I don't really like poetry but that was pretty good. Poems about Pokemon can't really be all that bad, i spose. Nice job
