Okay, just wondering... Which is better, Photobucket, Imagshack, Or Tinypic? I need something that doesn't expire (not photobucket), and does not need to be paid for.

Tinypic. Easy to use, and the URL is small when its uploaded. Very useful, and I dont think any of the images i've uploaded have expired.

I've added "Photobucket" and "Others" to your poll options, just to make the poll a little more fair. I voted for Photobucket. I've been using it all along and it hasn't gave me any problems before. Imageshack's images fail to work for me occasionally, for some reason.

Tinypic I'd say. Very quick to use and free. No images I've used (As RP said) have expired. The links are small and you can fit more in your sig then. But the downfall is that the image quality goes slightly weird. But Imageshack has the best quality but takes ages to load but you can resize pictures on there.

Tinypic.... ^.

Well, all of them just work fine, but I'll go with Tinypic.com just because the URL is very short. The URL doesn't take up large space in your sig. Photobucket is also fine, but the URL is too long when compared to Tinypic's. Also, Imageshack is good too, but the URL is long again. Sometimes, like sN0w said, Imageshack sometimes gives out an image just as a X in the center of a square. That means it has failed to upload the image. I have experienced that before. When I uploaded the same image on Tinypic, it jsut worked fine.

I voted photobucket, because say if you upload an image onto tinypic, and you don't want to show the picture for some reason, you have to upload it again when you want to use it. Photobucket is better, because you have an album where you can store images.
It's a shame that photobucket has large url thingies, but it's ok.

Ya, I deleted Photobucket because the URL gets deleted after a while. :( I use Tinypic a lot, but the size for animations gets a little too big (Sigs).
I signed up for Image shack, but I didn't get an e-mail back from them. :?
Oh well. Thanks everyone. Sorry if this was in the wrong place, and I like your Sig, Psymon. I see that I'm not the only one who listens to Pink Floyd.

Lol thanks. I'll try out image shack. Some of my pictures on photobucket haven't been deleted.

I use Photobucket. I was going to use Imageshack when I first started uploading, but it wouldn't work and I got really confused

And, now that PB uploads video as well, it's all the better ^_^

:( Well, If you look at this thread, How to make a simple Sig, Dr. double used Photobucket and it's gone. That was in November. :( :( Now what?

I had some serious troubles a few months ago, with a handful of tinpics images I was using heavily up and disappearing on me. You can still see tinypics links in the old Sith RP thread that no longer work. But those images had been uploaded months ago, so tinypics is pretty safe.

Photobuckets images only expire if you delete them, which most users do periodically to keep their gallery clean and orderly. I use photobuckets for permanent, prominent images I'll be using a lot, and to transfer images from one of my computers to the other (usually scanned lineart I want to colour.) I don't use it for things I'm making for others, because sometimes they try to direct link, then get a nasty surprise when their picture vanishes.

Does Photobucket cost anything? I really can't pay for it if it does, and does it upload or download anything? Again, I don't have many choices. I also have to be careful about Viruses and Hacks. Any of them?

Unless you choose the Premium package, Photobucket's free, and about the only thing it downloads to your computer is a cookie (If you want it to remember you, so you don't have to enter your password every time).

Note: What the--? I could've sworn I saw a Video tab on my Photobucket album...
