Suddenly, the dragon stopped it's advance on Diseh and bellowed with rage and pain. His left eye had exploded, pierced by a shirikin that had been fastened to look like a silver mint leaf. It turned and faced Jade, who held three more between her fingers.

"You want to fight, cretin? Then you've pissed off the right woman!!" She let fly the three remaining projectiles as the beast took to the sky for an aerial attack. Two pierced its wings, the third hit dead center the middle of its head. It crashed to the ground, not dead by any means bur certainly stunned enough to be immobilized. Jade took up her blade, and walked over to Spence. Then she held the sparkling edge of her razor-honed weapon against his throat. "When we met, I told you that I didn't trust magic," she hissed, a deep fire beginning to glow in her peridot eyes, "my whole villiage, my friends, my family, even my puppy were destroyed by men like you. So tell me, mage. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't end this right now in front of Diseh, Teresa, and God himself."

Spence laughed a laugh that was not his own, "You fool, for this is not your friend you speak of, Spence is merely a puppet, which I used to test you!" Spence's left hand glowed as Jade's grip on her sword weakened.
Spence jumped back, "I am the enemy that will soon destroy you all!"
Spence's eyes and clothes returned back to normal, as Spence fell down face first into the mud.

((Ok how is charly more of a mage then I am? He uses WHITE magic, that means good magic if I'm not mistaken? I'm BLACK magic, meaning EVIL.))

Diseh was just in the back ground next to the sleeping man, and Teresa. Diseh saw his chance to get bak at Spence for that attack. Diseh then summoned up a tiny fireball and threw it at Spence just to get his attention. When Spence turned around Diseh let out a huge fireball and went flying twords Spence. "How do you like me now Magician?" Diseh snikered at Spence. "Thats for attacking me!"

(( Isn't he in the mud already? *sweatdrop*))

Tereesa stiffined, realizing her oyther weakness. Magic. Her armour was resitant to it, but her back wasn't. She unsheathed Sieglinde, took a deep breath, and charged at the dragon, not caring that it could posibly get out of immobilization. Not caring that those jaws were big enough to swallow her whole. She drove the sword into it's shoulder, and braced herself...

((Meh. Ignore this post if you wish, I can't think right now...))

Jade shook her foggy head as the dragon dissolved into inky black smoke at the hands of the knight.

"Wow," she breathed, "whatever had a grip on me sure left me with a headache..." She then gazed about the clearing. What a mess! The dragon had toppled trees and charred shrubs, not to mention huge holes chunked out of the ground by its claws. Then she noitced that the dragon's skeleton remained in the center of the clearing, and realized what had happened. "Guys...that dragon was necromanced." she reported as she strode over to it for a better look. She had heard of necromancers before, and knew just how deadly they could be. All of a sudden, she had an idea. She knelt down and examined the monstrous skull, then reached out and plucked a single daggar sized tooth from it's yawning mouth. "Can't necromance without the whole skeleton," she explained to her allies, "and the bones of a dragon are said to hold sacred powers." she turned to Teresa and held out the fang. "As I have said before, magic is not my thing. However, due to the energy a dragon's fang is said to contain, it could come in handy later. I have no need for it, and I think that you could make better use of it than I. You'll know when to use it. If nothing else, at least consider it a token of my trust." Then she placed the fang in Teresa's hand, and turned to walk away. "We'd better set up camp, guys. Night is approaching, and I personally do not want to be caught in these woods without a fire."

((DisehMoh, can you please stop writing what other characters do. Spence is still in the mud. I believe Jade had a talk with Spence way before this happened, and it was about evil mages attacking her home lands, that's what she was talking about. So Jade hates all Mages, am I correct.))

Spence lifted himself from the mud, "What the, what's going on?" Spence took both hands and removed the mud from his face.
Spence noticed that everyone had left him there. Their backs were turned.
"Hey!" Spence tried to catch their attention, "What the hell just happened?" Spence said as tears started pouring down his face.

((No, she doesn't hate all mages, just the ones who use their powers to hurt others in anything else but self defense...which is what she thought Spence was doing.))

Jade turned and unsheathed her katana. She held the reflective tip of the blade to the center of his skull.
"Follow if you like, mage," she said softly, her trust in him fractured like a piece of fragile pottery, "but be warned...one wrong move, and I will not hestitate to run you through like a hunted dog." She sheathed the sword and with out another word turned away and followed the others.

((I'm so Fing confussed. Ok jade hates mage's that use there powers for EVIL right? well Spence in this story is a mage that uses WHITE magic, which cant be EVIl unless he uses cure to heal a bad guy or put a protective spell on some bad dude. I thought that Charly's character Spence was a user of WHITE mgaic and My character was a user of BLACK magic. So there for wouldn't I be the only one able to hurt someone with MAGIC?))

((*sigh* Okay, think about it from the characters' perspectives. All Jade saw was Spence trying to kill everyone. It's not like anyone said "hey Jade, Spence is possesed.". Remember, the characters can not read the out of character comments we make, so there is no way for Jade to understand what kind of magic you all use. DisehMoh, you're character has never made it clear that he used Dark Magic, all she knows is that he can be a jerk sometimes. Rest assured, the first time he makes it known that he is a dark mage, Jade will hate him and probably try to kill him, which may make things complicated because we can't really kill each other without playing godmod. Just a suggestion, but on the basis of our characters' personas, do you guys think Dark Magic is best left to the Necromancer that possesed Spence? If anyone disagrees with that statement, I guess we'll figure something out... ))

((Okay, I have a solution. Black magic (casting fire, blizzard, thunder, etc) is not necessary evil. Dark magic could be like, necromancing, controlling peoples minds or using shadows and whatnot to kill you. Black and Dark magic don't have to be the same thing in this story.))

Spence shook with fear, "What..." He could barely stand up, "What's going on?"
He looked down at his sleave to see that it was black, "Huh?"
Confused, Spence watched as his sleave returned back to normal.
"Wait!" Spence tried to stop Jade from walking away, "I know what happened to me!" Spence held his father's blade in front, "Dad told me stories of ones that use Dark magic, this particular magic can do all most anything!"
Spence waved at his getup, "Did who guys notice my clothes, they changed colour, and if I'm correct, my eyes went red too..."
"Jade!" Spence bowed, "I'm sorry, I would never hurt you

Okay, that sounds like a reasonable solution. Let me make one adjustment, though. In ancient lore, Black Magic was evil. So, let's tweak it and make Black Magic the Necromancer's deal and give Dark Magic to Spence/ Diseh/ whoever's not evil and wants it. I'll give some slack and make Jade automatically understand the difference and we can all go on with this in peace.

(( Got it what ever. the summoning of the elements and using them or other things is not evil, just called Dark Magic. The use of necromancing or possesing or something like that is Black magic, and is considered evil right ok?))

Right. Using shadows and such is dark, using demonic energy is evil...

Ok w/e, but now I'm lost in the story line.

(**clears throat**) Well, if that's settled, I think I'll pick up where Charly left off...

Jade narrowed her eyes at the mage's apology. She recognized the evidence of Black Magic when she saw it.

She knew that Black Magic users could gain control of one's mind and body, even going so far as to stain a man's palms with the blood of his family. Then again, Spence could have been covering a failed attempt at an assault... there was only one way she could be sure of his innocence. She turned fully around and faced him, her dazzling green eyes gazing deep into his. At length, she said,
"My father once told me that a person's eyes were like a window to their soul. He told me that if I ever doubted the words of another, to gaze into their eyes, for there the truth would dwell," She paused and put a hand on his shoulder, "When I search your eyes, I see only regret and confusion, with not a hint of malevolence blemishing the innocence that I am sure is in your heart. That being said, Spence, I accept your apology, and assume that nothing happened between us as far as I'm concerned."

With that, she once more turned and continued on with the rest of the group, making sure that she stayed close enough to Spence that he didn't feel like an outcast, yet far enough ahead to stay with the others. Soon, she spoke up once more,

"Anyone else starving? I haven't eaten since before I somehow ended up in this strange land in the first place."

((Sorry. That one was a little long-winded, but I had to resolve that somehow.))

"Man I could go for some BurgerKing right about now, what about yall?" Diseh's stomach growled loudly. "Ohhhhh man, stomach acking, and I need some sleep soon." It was a dark and clold night. A shiver went down Diseh's spine. "Anyone else cold?"

Spence looked around at everyone, they fought a harsh battle, and they looked somewhat, beat up.
"I think this should cure your wounds!" Spence lifted his blade up high and everyone around him felt better as a green light circled around them. It faded off into the night sky.
Spence yawned, "Okay!" Spence nodded, "But don't you think we would be safer in that cave?" He pointed to a cave nearby.
"I'll go get some firewood," Spence put his hand on his chin, "Hmmm....we'll also need some food...any ideas?"

Jade's eyes swiftly scanned the trees that leered in from all sides. Soon they locked on something. She launched a trio of shirikins into the uppermost branches of a nearby tree whose limbs overhung the place where she stood, then held out her hand in time to catch a large bunch of odd purple fruit that came tumbling down from the canopy above. They were grouped together like plantains, but the skin had a texture not unlike that of a mango.

"Hmm...from a distance I thought these were plums," she admitted as she examined her catch, "However judging by the dull purple coloring, I don't think they'll kill us. Well, there's only one way to find out. Who wants to test one?" The young woman then held out a single piece of fruit to whoever dared to take the first bite.

Diseh fixed his eyes on the purple fruit. His eyes widened and his mouth hung open like a dogs sauvering over a steak. He lundged at the fruit. "I'll try it." Diseh shoved the fruit whole straight into his mouth. He chewed furiously, but stopped. His eyes started to water. Diseh yelped and spit it all out. "Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot!!!" Diseh was fumbling around like a wild dog. Diseh started to pant, but ran off to find the nearest water source.

(**sigh** I wish more of our RPers would post...)

Jade watched with amused pity as Diseh went howling off.

"Hmm... Now I've GOT to try one!" she took a small bite of a fruit. She instantly felt a strange cooling feeling swirl about in her mouth, like an arctic wind was whipping up behind her teeth. "Wow!" she breathed "That's incredible! I'll bet this fruit tastes differently to everyone. Here," she tossed a fruit to each of her friends, "What do you taste?"

((Yeah R_R hasen't been on in 8 days. My RP died. But some noob in 7 months will necromance it.))

Diseh wailed at the top of his lungs as he ran thorugh the forest.

Spence munched on the fruit, "It taste alright to me."
He smiled and laughed at Diseh, "Yo Diseh, you were a thife, huh?" Spence stared at his friend with curiousity, "How did you learn such magic, and what do you know?"

Diseh quietly sat down, after he found some water. "Well I learened to do some magic after I travled around the USA. After my family died I didn't care about what I did. So like I said I travled. I belived in the possibility of using powers beyond our own, so I wondered if I could harness that. Now here's were your correct Spence. I am a theif." Diseh rolled up his sleave and tapped on his metal arm.
"I became a theif so I could fund my trip around the world. So I started out small in my lonely state of Nebraska, like robbing little stores. Then I went to the big leagues. I started to rob banks, and bigger places. I got enough money, so I tried to fly to Calafonia. But as soon as one of the stuarteses found out who I was, the plane made an imediate landing. Cops boarded, and I bolted. The only problem was, that we landed in New, Mexico." Diseh covered his arm up.
"In New mexico, theres not too many places to land as I soon found out. We actually landed on the miliatary airport of Roswell, New Mexico. Aka area 51. Not to bad for a theif, but there was not much else where I could go so I went around for a look see. Somehow I managed to get into some gov. buildings, that were to secret. Ooooooooooo. Yeah right. They were testing some cybernetic enhancements on some humans, using some ancient thecnology they found. Theroiezed to be left be aliens. Well it so happens this metal arm I have now was that thecnology. I Swipped the metal arm, and plugged it in. The arm imediatly took over, my arm. It had fussed into my arm, what is metal was now my arm.
"So I bolted, and used this new found strength for my thieving. So I hid on planes, and flew all around the country stealing money, and putting it into my offshore bank accounts. After it was all said and done I started my studies. I travled to the far east first. Over there I stayed in many temples, and learned about meditation, and unlocking the minds full potential. After that was done I went and spent some time in Egypt. I raided some tombs to find the tablets I was looking for. These tablets contained ancient inscriptions, on dangerous black magic. I took those tablets with me, and headed off to an uncharted place in Europe, that was said to have a guarded library of magic. I did go there and I found the place, and of course broke in. I stole as many books as I could. I found a book on each of the four elements, one book on more black magic. I also stole this quarterstaff, said to have been given properties of magical proportions, by some mages that controlled each of the elements. So I bolted back to the States, and headed to New york. There I bought my self an upscale appartment, that covered the top floor almost. There I studied, and practiced my abalities. Until one day I was practacing, a storing spell, just in case I needed to use it to hide these books. When I started the chant, the door was busted in and cops raided my place. I was in the other room, and bolted out the window. I grabbed my staff, and jumped out. I used my staff, as a vault, and tried to jump to the next building, but insted I hit the side, but caught on to a pipe. I slid down it and ended up in my ally. Cops chased me, as I ran. I got to the part of the ally right before I was taken here." Diseh took another bite of the fruit, this time it tasted somewhat sour. "Hmmm, well as you can now tell Spence I didn't learn that much, but enough to surpass, and use magic to my advantage."

((I am SO SORRY that I havn't been on...my Internet crashed, and so for two days, I was computerless...>.<" I'll start when I got the tooth...*sweatdrop*))

Teresa was speechless when the dragon dissapearred into a pile of bones, and took the tooth with a quivering hand. "Thanks..." She followed the three to their camp, then took a fruit. It tasted slightly sour, yet cold and sweet at the same time with a hint of spiciness. Weird. She listened to Diseh's story quietly, then said," I pretty much didn't have an exciting past...Bandits raided my home when I was twelve, anbd my big brother protected me as we looked for jobs. He had learned the art of the lance from our father, and he taught me the sword. I practiced, and soon got into the army as a knight at fifteen. It wasn't long ago that the king found out I was female. He kept me in, however, because I was a good soldier. I think."

Jade sighed a bit and looked up at the sky.

"I already told Spence some of this, but when I was a little girl, my villiage was attacked and destroyed by an army of men who used a sort of shadow magic. They slew all the men, and kidnapped the women, including my mother. I escaped death, however, because my father literally threw me into a thick patch of shrubbery at the edge of our village where the forest met the street. I then watched in horror through the shrubbery as my father was beheaded no less than six feet from where I was hiding. The shadow men left shortly thereafter, thankfully in the direction opposite to my where I was hidden, one announcing that the place was now a victim of the Dark Empire. I crawled out into the flaming wreckage of what was once a thriving little town, and sobbed beside my father's corpse for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly, I felt rain on my neck, followed by a sharp gust of chilling air. I looked up to see a woman with white hair and silver eyes clad in a white kimono that sported metallic silver swirls along the border. I remember the way that she seemed to glow with an inner light. She asked me who had done such a thing, and I told her about the shadow men. Then, she thought for a moment and clapped her hands. There was a blinding flash in her palms followed by a roll of thunder. There, resting in her grip, was the very sword that I carry today. I know now that she was a priestess that could control the weather. Her name was Tsukiakari, and that was not the last time we would meet in my lifetime. Anyway, she told me to take the sword for protection and run as fast as I could to the nearest villiage. I did so and eventually a rescue team from the villiage I was travelling to (who'd seen the flames and came to find survivors) brought me to my destination. There I vowed to learn the art of ninjitsu, so that I could find the Dark Empire and destroy it with my bare hands, brick by brick, if necessary. I studied in a dojo for some time, then began my quest of vengence."

Then she turned to Spence.

"What about you? What's your story, Spence?"
