Raine was sitting on her bed, holding Riki in her arms. "I don't know...he's crying." She hugged him tighter. "Don't worry, it'll be okay."

"Maybe he's crying because of all the deaths going on..." Jim started to get a sad look on his face. "All those pokemon... all those people... I guess this really is the end..."

Raine nodded. "Maybe..." Riki kept on cuddling up to Raine, scared and crying.

"OK then." Jim picked up his head and nodded. "Well, before we die, I'm gonna go put my stuff in my room. If you need anything, I'll try to help. I hope your umbreon feels better."

Jim then walked out of the room and into his own and set his stuff down on the floor, and then lay down on the bed.

Raine said goodbye and hugged Riki tight. He was obviously scared to death. He shook in fear and he kept sobbing.

Ella's mouth fell open when Joey came to fight, apparently unharmed. "But... you were dead, weren't you?" she asked. At his return she stopped feeling guilty, and started thinking a bit more rationally. So, when she turned to Ricky, she didn't repeat the same schpiel. "Ricky, I've got an idea." she said, "But I need you guys out of here. You have to trust me." she was getting desperate. She needed them gone to try what Garde wanted to try. She thought it would work, too.

David shrugged as the umbreon ran into another room.

"Que sara." He said to himself.

He reached over and patted Charcolt. "I wonder if Blaine's ok. With all of this destruction going on, I'd bet that a volcanic island isn't the best place to be."

Riki eventually calmed down, and hopped out of Raine's arms and scampered down the hall, back to the trainer. Raine shrugged, and laid back down. Riki stopped right before the same trainer, and his tail wagged.
Was there anything on the news while I was gone? Huh? Huh?!
He bounced around and barked.

David looked down at the barking umbreon and then looked back at his charizard, Charcolt.

"Sorry, little umbreon, I don't have any food to give you. If that's what you want, you should ask the nurse that's behind the counter."

Riki shook his head.
I'm not hungry.
He barked and pointed towards the T.V.

"Oh... the TV. I turned it off. The station went dead and there really isn't anything I can do right now. I'm thinking of heading out if none of the other trainers are ready soon."

Riki tilted his head and barked.
Oh, okay.
He sat down and played with some dust on the ground.

Ryan hid behind a boulder farther away from the Rayquaza, who seemed to be even more enraged then before. Swabbie flew up to him, exausted, then dropped down. Ryan looked at it, then said:

"You did great, Swabbie. You deserve a rest."

Ryan pulled out Swabbie's pokeball from his bag, then returned it. Zowie, who was looking around the boulder cautiously, wimpered at Ryan.

"Okay, Zowie, come on, we've got to find Breloom!" He said, then crept towards the patch of forest, avoiding the gaze of the Rayquaza.

It didn't take long to find him. Breloom was lying down, fainted, and burned. Zowie ran up it it and barked. Ryan ran over there, and saw his pokemon.

"Oh god, no... That's the last time I will ever ask him to do anything like that..." He said to himself, pulling out a Burn Heal out of his bag, and a potion. After using them on Breloom, he pulled Breloom's pokeball, and returned it. Ryan was very worrried about his pokemon.

"Come on, Zowie, we've got to get to that pokemon center over there!" He said, and ran down the path towards Mount Silver, trying to avoid the gaze of the Rayquaza.

However, the legendary, decently far away now, noticed him out of the corner of it's eye, but decided not to attack. It felt slightly more drowsy now, but not enough to stop it.

"You require me...to leave?" Joey replied. "If that is the case, then I shall comply."

Joey brought out Nightmare and Gruesome's Pokeballs. "You two, return......Empty, you will most likely not be harmed thanks to your Wonder Guard...unless of course Rayquaza uses a super effective attack."

Joey bowed to Ella. "I take my leave." He ran off towards the direction of the Poke' Center.

Ella beamed at Joey as he ran. "Thank you!" she called, and... "I'm glad you're not dead."
She turned to Ricky. "If you don't leave, I'll have Garde teleport you away. I swear I'm not just being stupid and self sacrificing."

Riki heard something from outside the lobby and scampered over to the door. He poked his head out, and noticed Joey running towards him. He barked.
It's Joey! I wonder if his Pokemon are with him?
He ran out the door and ran towards him.

"Hey now, we just met like half an hour ago. You've got no more right to be stupidly self-sacrificing for my sake than I do for yours. I'd like to get both of us out of this alive, thank you very much. If we work together, we've got a better chance than if we try separately, and I'm not leaving. What's your brilliant plan?"

David's pokegear suddenly started buzzing.

"Hello?" He said as he picked it up.

"Dav... back to... bar Island... destroying... aine is dead. We..." The call was cut short.

David threw his pokegear back on his belt, recalled Yurtle and Shot, and jumped on Charcolt's back.

That was Chris, a fellow apprentice of Blaine's. He hates me with his whole being. If he was that desperate to call me, something's going wrong on Cinnabar Island.

He gave Charcolt the order to fly and they burst out the doors of the pokemon center. In a matter of moments, they had zoomed past Rayquaza and the trainers who were foolishly fighting it. Rayquaza payed him no mind since he and Charcolt were a distance away. But it still felt criptic to David that these legendaries weren't attacking him.

Joey saw Riki coming. That's...Raine's Pokemon...I think...

"Eh...hello..." Joey mumbled. "I am not up for talking or anything, so here..."

Joey released Nightmare and Gruesome from their Pokeballs. "You can...uh...play with my Pokemon, I guess."

Empty's eyes glowed purple. Joey turned to him. "You will be okay for a few minutes. I am going inside to see if I can make a phone call."

Riki's tail wagged.
Yay!
He barked at Gruesome. "Hello."

((I think that the Pokemon should comuticate with each other, like humans can talk to other humans))

Jim woke up from his nap, and walked outside and got ready to go to his new friends' rooms to see how they were doing when he saw Joey and dropped his jaw.

"What happened? Didn't you--? I thought--? Did your pokemon--?" Jim was more confused than ever, but took a few moments to clear his head to try and get out one question:

"How did you survive?"

David passed over numerous towns on the way to Cinnabar. Normally, any trainer experienced in using flying pokemon would use the towns as land markers to know where he is. That was not the case this time. Every single town he passed over was recked to the ground.

People and pokemon were lying motionless across the ground. Those that weren't were either crying for their fallen loved ones or scavenging for food. Fortunately, some were doing their best to stay calm and organize others to maintain some levels of civilization.

"I wish we had time to stop, but whatever did this probably attacked Cinnabar Island. Don't stop, Charcolt. And, for the sake of our consciences, let's not look down either."

The two continued flying in the direction David's compass pointed to as South.

Ella groaned. "Listen. I'm going to have Garde confuse him, and I'll skedaddle while he's confused. BUT, if there's multiple people about, he might hit one of us. It's less likely to miss. Besides, if it doesn't work... She has a backup plan, and I don't really understand it, but I'll HAVE to be alone for that. Just leave, because I won't have time to wait for you to leave if plan A doesn't work."
She glared at him. "Should I make Garde take you away?"

Gene listened to Ella and Called back his pokemon. Larva refuesed to come back to the ball so Gene let him stay out. He turned around and ran.

((I think we've been getting off on an unrealistic tangent here. If Rayquaza really did want to pick a fight, everyone would be dead on the ground in four seconds.))
