"No I didnt see anything. ..... wait was that an arrow are we in some sort of game? No one has used arrows for weponrey for ages. ..but then again no one uses a Quarterstaff either." Diseh pulls out his staff and quickly turns around twords the direction the arrow came from. Another arrow was shot it flew twords Diseh an hit him in his right arm. It deflected off. "Everybody... I think we need to move a bit..." Another arrow flew this time Diseh whacked it with his staff before it hit him.

Teresa twitched. Arrows were her main weakness, seeing as they were usually shot off into her back, where her armour didn't cover. She unsheathed Sieglinde, enjoying the "Shiiiing" as it was pulled out smoothly. She mounted Dark and looked out, violet eyes wary. She heard the whistling of an arrow behind her and slashed it in two, annoyed. "Inferior beings...at least in England, the archers were good shots.." She slashed at another before it could strike her armour, and proceeded to do this with every single arrow that came. Teresa nudged Dark, who backed down, snorting. "Erm..I think he's right..We should move before whatever it is comes out..I don't think there are other humans here...."

Jade let out a growl of frustration as she destroyed another of the deadly projectiles only seconds before it hit her in the face. She flipped her katana around on her fingers and tossed it up, then she caught it in her other hand just in time to stop one more.
"As much as I hate to admit it, I believe that our only two options at this point are run or die." She backflipped out of the path of yet another arrow, then turned and started running off into the foliage, leaping and kicking off a few trees to gain speed. "Come on!" she called over her shoulder. "Or do you want to end up human pincusions?"

"I don't care lets just get a move on it or will end up dead." Diseh started to chant. He swung his right arm in a circle once and a clearish shield formed on his forearm. "Move on it." Diseh darted after Jade, and Spence.

Teresa nodded quietly and ndged Dark as arrows started to errupt even more, zipping from most directions. The stallion galloped after Jade, Spence, and Diseh, eyes wide with fear at the thought of arrows embedded into his flesh.

Jade continued dashing through the forest, flitting between trees and leaping over fallen logs, sparing an occasional glance over her shoulder to make sure that the others were still close behind. The samurai was trying very hard to think on her feet, which was exceedingly difficult in this situation. She had seen countless battles, her sword had tasted the blood of many a foe, and each time she seemed to find a way out of it. But here, out of her element and in a strange, alien place, the small clip in her confidence that her disheveled childhood had left behind, striking as a flaw in an otherwise perfect diamond, began to rise to the surface. For the first time in her life, she wasn't at least one step ahead of her opponent. That, above all else, bothered her to her very core. She swallowed her pride like a bitter poison and called back to her allies,
"Anybody have a plan?"

"Nope, just keep running" Diseh turned his head to glance and saw Spence running, and jumping. Teresa wasn't far behind him. Turned straight and saw Jade barely touching the ground. Diseh pulled out his quarterstaff and used it as a vault. He flew like a monkey and landed into a tree and quickly found a vine to hang for the others to climb up. The tree was plentiful in greenery and could be barley seen into. "Guys get up here."

Teresa hesitated, then spotted a large clump of bushes nearby, covered with vines. It was just the right size for horse that was standing or lying down. "Just a second!" Teresa said as she left Dark there, whispering,
"Just stay sill and silent, 'Kay, Dark?" and then scrambled up the tree as silently as a female King Eider flies.

((Spence can't jump, because he's carrying something twice his own weight. ))

Spence shook his head, and looked up to Diseh, "Why run, when we can fight?" He smiled and turned towards Jade, "That's the best plan I can think of."
Spence looked back from where they came from,

Teresa watched it fall in horror and didn't bother to climb down, leaping off instead. She tried to catch the sword, but fell over backwards because of the weight. She muttered something under her breath as she dragged it to the tree, then struggled to climb the tree, still muttering Who-Knows-What under her breath. She handed it to Spence then muttered," Blasted sword..Why in Heaven's name do you carry a sword that heavy, Spence? Thats just suicide on a battlefeild.."

Meanwhile, Jade had already flipped up to the lowest branch of the tree and pressed her slender body against the rough bark, trying her best to blend in. She watched intensly as the bushes below rustled, and seven of the ugliest looking creatures she had ever laid eyes on emerged, bows armed. They had the faces of rats, and the body of dogs, yet they walked upright like humans. Crimson eyes blazed in their heads. Their torsos were covered with some sort of black armor, and they wore steel helmets over their skulls. "What am I looking at here?" she thought, but she didn't dare to speak, for even at that moment the creatures' long snouts were sniffing out their prey. She knew that her team could take them down, but they'd have to time it just right, when their enemies had let down thier guard. How would she tell them her plan without revealing their cover? She closed her eyes and prayed for a miracle.

Teresa suddenly spotted the creatures and her eyes widened. Dark! They would find him! She was about to climb down, then stopped. If she did, it would risk Spence, Jade, and Diseh's sfety. She gritted her teeth in frustration and laened against the trunk angrily.

Spence was shaking in his boots when he saw the beasts. They were slowly heading towards Teresa's horse, Dark.
Without thinking, Spence threw a fire sphere as far as he could throw it away from the area; the creatures were distracted, and followed the sound that was miles away.
Spence jumped out of the tree, "What the hell were they!" he said quietly,

After what seemed like an eternity, the animal - like creatures lowered their weapons and began to whine what sounded like a gurgling, rumbling language amongst themselves. Jade saw opporitunity's shining face when the beasts all formed something resembling a circle and started cabitzing and loafing off. They gestured and shoved each other around, the powow occasionally erupting into a chitter that must've been equal to laughter. The samurai crept at an excruciatingly slow pace and slithered up a few branches. Then, she stealthily made her way around the width of the massive plant until she reached a branch that directly overhung the one on which Teresa was perched. Using her legs to grip the abrasive branch, Jade swung silently upside down so that her inverted face was only inches from Teresa's upright one.

"Listen," she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper, almost inaudible against the eerie sighs of the wind in the branches, "We've got to hit them hard and fast, while they're too busy loafing around to see us coming. Got any ideas?"

Diseh whispers "I think, ummm." Diseh yells into Jade's ear. "There gone, and I mean long gone." Diseh jumped down from the tree. "I thought Samurai's were smart, but no the Magician saved our butts." Diseh helped Jade down but let her fall down. He did the same to Teresa even though she said he would do the same thing again. Diseh tricked her and let her fall. "Ok group yall got any bright ideas on how were gona get away from this place and back to reality in the year 2006?"

Jade started to reply, but suddenly drew her blade and knocked Diseh out of the way. The rat-dog creature that had crept up behind him was in two pieces in a matter of seconds, but the group's problems didn't end there. They soon found themselves surrounded by the beasts on all sides, the creatures had obviously heard the commotion of people falling from the tree as they left, and had covered every flank in retaliation. Arrows were trained on them from every direction. One wrong move by any of them, and they would all end up riddled with the biting tips of the deadly projectiles.

"Great," Jade thought aloud, "now what?"

Diseh didn't try to give up he managed to hit one, but was soon Knocked out cold.

"Spence!" Jade gasped, "Diseh!" She trained her blazing green eyes on the rat-faced beings around her. "You're all gonna pay for that!" She sheathed her sword to free up her hands, and rushed one, delivering a hard jump-kick to its face. Then, she hit the ground and rolled to evade the volley of arrows that had been aimed at her. She flipped high into the air, and twirled around in a 360 degree circle, leg outstreached and clocking at least four of the foul beasts in the jaw. She landed on her feet and shouted across the clearing to Teresa, "You'd better start moving! That way, at least one of us will have gotten awa..." Her voice faded off as a sharp pain flashed in her right thigh. She gazed down in disbelief to see the chestnut shaft of an arrow protruding from her kimono. A dark crimson color seeped into the cloth from the wound, and Jade's thoughts began to cloud. The rat-dog who had launched the arrow strutted chittering over to her, obviously quite proud of its unexpected assault. Jade's face darkened as it approached. "That was...such a cheap shot..." she breathed, swaying on her feet. When it got close enough, however, she suddenly gripped the arrow in both hands and yanked it out with an angry, painful grunt. Then, taking aim through failing vision, she managed to plunge the object into the chest of the very creature who'd shot it. The beast's howls of pain echoed in her ears as she fell to the ground, landing on top of the rat-dog. Then it all went dark, both victim and assailant unconscious on the patchy grass that speckled the clearing.

Teresa stsred at her fallen comrades in horror, then unsheathed Sieglinde and slashed at the nearest creature, slivcing it in two before dodging an arrow from another. She dove at another, ignoring the arrows that bounced off of her shoulder armour as Sieglinde smoothly wenbt through another. Something pierced her back, and Teresa froze when she saw the blood. She grunted and whistled, slinging all tree on her stallion, who obeideiently came, and climbed on herself, nudging Dark. "Anywhere..go..anywhere.." She mumbled as she wrapped the reins around her hand and slipped into darkness.

Diseh awoke in chains. His hands were cuffed and were raised above his head. They were in some type of prison holding. He saw his other commrads also in the same disposition. whispers "Hey guys wake up, wake up guys." Diseh tought to himself. *I havent been in prision yet, no one could eve catch me.* Diseh then rembered a chant he learned a while back ago. Diseh positioned his right palm twords his left wrist. "I've got to hit this just right." Diseh chanted a few words and a small firebal shot out of his palm. It hit the chains and broke them. "Ouch!" Diseh shoke his hand frouciosly to sooth the burn. He positioned his right palm again but at the top where the chain conected to the wall. He shot and was free, well free in the prison. He still had the chain on his right wrist. He could use that to his advantage.

Teresa twitched, then opened her eyes slowly. Thankfully, the arrow on her back had been removed. She stared at her sword and groaned. In the osition her hands were in, she couldn't reach it, which was a pity. Sieglinde had magical properties infused in it that attacked with lunar gusts of wind, along with the blade's serated edge, and coul easily slice through the chains, if she could get it.Her shoukder armour was sharp, though, so she rubbed her shoulder against the chain. The armour's edge chipped away part of i after a couple f minutes, and Teresa sighed. I should've praticed Wind Magic more, intead of just learning lunar gales, and not Tornadoes and such...' She thought as she glanced at Diseh, who had already breaken free by using Fire Magic.
