"What do you mean stolen?" Allan asked, after hearing Serra's explanation.

He sighed and rubbed his head. "That's the third Pokemon theft this month. Things are really getting out of hand."

Taking a Pokeball from his belt, Allan walked outside and released Drake. The Salamence roared and landed. Allan climbed onto his back and offered Serra a hand. "Come on. Let's go find them."

Allan gasped when he heard this. He slowly climbed off Drake's back and returned him to his Pokeball.

Then he walked over to Serra and wrapped his arms around her. He held her close and whispered, "I'm sorry."

Taking a Pokeball from his belt, he handed it to Serra. "Here, take my Ampharos. Thunder seems to like you anyways. I'm sure you'll be a good trainer for him."

Allan smiled and was about to say something when his phone rang. He flipped it open and said simply, "Talk to me."

He listened, and after a few seconds, he said, "Right. I'll be there as soon as I can."

Turning to Serra, Allan said, "Midnight is on the move again."

"Quickly," Ghost urged the driver, sitting forward eagerly in his seat, "I believe Damean - Magil, sorry - may be in trouble."

The chauffeur nodded and pressed the accelerator to the floor. They sped up quickly, when suddenly Ghost yelled, "left!"

The chauffeur, surprised, span the wheel to the left, and the back wheels skidded, putting them into a long drift. Finally they came to a straight, and an enormous warehouse appeared on the horison.

Jamie stepped out beside Eirika, two pokeballs circling him.

"Lets get this party started, Aeris! Uri!" Jamie called. The pokeballs slammed into the ground revealing an Espeon and Alakazam.

<Aeris Blizzard on Dragonite! Alakazam Psychic on that Gengar!> Jamie commanded psychically.

Aeris released a blast of snow and ice at the pokemon and Uri began letting off several Psychic blasts.

Occupation: Pokemon researcher (former guinea pig)
Appearance: 1.68 m tall (5.5 feet), "latino" guy. Despite his stature and his fragile aspect, he posseses great physical abilities, namely very high endurance and superior speed. He usually wears sport clothes.

Background: When he received his first pokemon (a Totodile, now released) he rushed to a nearby swamp in order to catch a poison pokemon, and although he was able to succesfully capture a Koffing he breathed too much of the poisonous gas and his health was diminished badly. Trying to find a cure, he volunteered for several medical experiments (including a couple of not-so-legal ones) and after a long time he finally got his health back. Soon after the last experiment had ended he found out he was highly resistant to poison and that his speed and his physical endurance had been enhanced. Now he works for Midnight researching Poison type pokemon and their relations to other types (especially those who are resistant to poison effects).

The inside of the complex was kept dark, and many rows of cages turned the warehouse into a sort of maze. The darkness was meant to help the grunts, keeping them concealed and harder for intruders to detect, but Cassius was somewhat more adept at using the area's shadows.

Just my luck that I'd get stuck between two rival gangs. Despite his sympathies towards Midnight, Cassius was somewhat disgusted to see them trying to blow each other to bits, when a whole warehouse of underfed and poorly treated pokemon sat awaiting rescue. He spoke to many of the caged creatures along his way, whispering in pokemon speak for them to stay still for awhile after their cages were open. It was only smaller pokemon in this area, it seemed, and the ghostly trainer didn't want any of them getting underfoot in the battle outside.

He left Godfather near the doorway, hiding inside a wall and keeping lookout for Cassius as the haunter ventured deeper into the base. A few ghost-types were being kept in a section together, their cages specially designed to prevent them from phasing through. Pandora was struggling at one, but his hand kept passing through the lock. Phases pokemon inside it in, and pokemon outside of it out. Pretty smart design, I have to admit. Unfortunately, it didn't work when the rescuer had human hands.

The misdreavus he freed looked nearly as battered as the other pokemon, but had a faint smile on her face as she exited her cage. "Haunt haunt haunter, haunt. Haunt haunt haunt haunter haunterhaunt haunt haunt haunt haunter haunt (Pain split quickly, Mai. I need you both at reasonable health to get out of here)" said Cassius quietly, looking around. He saw the heads of a pair of grunts over the next row of cages, and knew they were about to turn around and examine the ghost section, which didn't give them much time to plan an escape.

Dave just stood there with his umbreon and blastoise by his side. Dam, i never get to help, what does Damean think, that i can't do anything? Soon Dave saw Ghost come up at the warehouse. great now he is here, no one will let me fight.

Eirika withdrew her fainted Xatu, sending out Rick and Makida. <Both of you, Thunder on the Dragonite.>

They both charged up electricity, then they both let it out at the same time (They like doing that for no odd reason...).

Cassie went to investigate, and saw a small white egg-shaped capule with a note on it.
"Hm... wonder what this could be?" Cassie asked, and Psy said, <Take care. Ill hit it to make sure if it is a trap or not.> Cassie retreated, and Psy let loose a Psychic, which the egg responded to by opening.
"Hmm, better go to the base... with this." Making sure nobody was watching, she said to Psy, "Get the other Pokemon, we're taking the fun way in."
<Agreed.> In a moment, he had telported them all, and Cassie said, "Okay, now, let's go." She whistled hard, and the ground parted to form a hole.
"Down the hatch....literally." She dove down, and sped down the tunnel, Twinkle providing the only light. Feeling like she was on a giant waterslide, she screamed, "WAH-HOO!!!!"
Falling to the ground with a 'bump', she got off the floor, and psychically lifted her Pokemnon to prevent them from pig-piling. Striding toward a door with light coming out, she said quietly, making sure no intruders were around, "Psyche Admin here. Over." The computer said, "PLEASE INPUT PASSWORD." She replied, "Psychokenetic." THe door opened, and she said, "Feels good to be back at home.....base." Noticing her phone bleeping with a message, she reviewed it.
"*wheezing voice* We....shall.......take...your....base...as... *wheezing stops* OURS!!!!!" Alarmed, she asked, "I-I wonder if anyone else is h-h-here...."

Hewz picked up a box and took out a twistedspoon and a magnet.
He put the box down and walked over to Cassie.
"Pick one."

Once the flames stopped, Eirika was suprised to see that Makida and Rick had survived. <Grr, Rick, Crunch. Gengar. Makida, keep the Dragonite occupied.>

"Ectric!" Rick zipped over to the Gengar, and crunched.
"Jolt!" Makida dodged and jumped up at the Dragonite, distracting it from Rick.

This is starting to get pointless... Eirika thought. She withdrew her Pokemon, then teleported out and to the base with Cassie and Hewz.

Eirika rubbed her head. "I don't think I want to do that again...teleporting that far. What're you two up to..?"

Will commanded Vince to take him closer to Damean. "Yo, Magil, that was one intense battle. I don't know how you can do that, so many Psyches at once, it was awsome to see you take them." Putting on his goggles, and patting silently commanding Vince to get ready to make his way to base, Will added, "Well, just wanted to congradulate you." As Vince rose higher he yelled to Damean, "See ya in Blackthorn!" As soon as the he finished his words, he was off. No more than a speck on the horizon.

"Thanks." Damean muttered as Will flew off into the distance, Damean hopped onto his motorcycle, and started it up, Why did Psyche interfere? Dame thoguth as he sped off into the distance, towards Slateport, where Team Midnight's boat would take him to Blackthorn, he pulled his cell phone out, "Tell the captain that we'll be taking a detour to Mossdeep." he said, Damean knew Psyche's base of command was there somewhere, but he had no idea where it was. I want to try and stop any conflict in the future, but one problem, the location of the base exactly...

Appearance: Straight black jumpsuit, with the Midnight logo on the left chest, and black boots. Brown hair, and a kinda scraggly beard. Always wears a black cape, similar to Lance's.
Background: Sven was born and raised in Kanto, and so grew up hearing stories about the Pokemon League, and particularly Lance. Was given a Dratini (Lance) for his 10th birthday, beginning his pokemon career. The Dratini soon grew into a Dragonite, and Sven captured/found several others, making up his current team (Ironically all males too.) Sven is a fierce competitor, who aspires to be as powerful as Lance someday, taking power by any means necessary. Earned the nickname "Frag" by injuring an opposing Pidgeotto in a match so badly with his Charizard that it's feathers got burned off. He was remorseful, but secretly he'd do it again if that was what he needed to do to win the match. He met up with Midnight when he was 17, and, seeing them as a potential route to greater power, he joined up as a grunt. He's been a successful battler for the team, and he was given the Dome Fossil he resurrected to Kabuto(ps) by Magil upon his promotion to an Executive, a little over six months ago.



Sven was on the main floor of the Midnight HQ's command center when reports of the battle with Psyche, and the subsequent rescue of the injured pokemon began filtering in. This was his duty shift in charge of the command center, so it was his primary duty to report any incidents to Magil, but evidently he'd been in the thick of it. He called up the team's leader on the command console's comlink. "Magil, do you need any help? HQ just heard about the scuffle with Psyche at the warehouse, and we'd be glad to send out some grunts to help fight, or move the rescued pokemon, or whatever. In fact, if the battle's still going on, I'd come join you, except that I'm tied down at HQ here for a while."

Ghost saw a motorcycle on the horizon, and he instantly recognised it as Magil's own. He ordered the driver to speed up, and then drive next to Magil's motorcycle. Opening his window, he signalled for Magil to either pull over or take off his helmet.

In the distance, very faintly, Serra thought she heard something. She stood still, gesturing for Allan and his Salamence to be silent. Closing her eyes she concentrated on the sound, whatever it was. She didn't know why, but she had a feeling about it. Suddenly realizing what it might be, she pushed Allan towards the base again.

"I can hear a motorcycle. It's a fair few kilometers away, but it could be Magil. Go back inside, warn the others. I'll go to him." Spinning around, Serra started jogging towards the forest, and a shortcut through to a main road of Mossdeep, Flaya trotting obediently beside her.
