omg double post. With some people no longer contacting me, some creative byes were established and one reordering of the bracket was made. Luckily, it all makes sense, and nothing big even happened.

Round 4 battles:

Winners:

FaceLess vs 4ever_bug_catcher
Krisp vs mudkipman
Medichamrulez vs Edgat

Losers:

magikoopa vs undertaker
ShinyHunter07 vs Sapphirath
EvilPenguin vs Geno
Treeckoluv vs KOL40

Waiting but still active:

Roar Of Time: winner; waiting for winner of Medichamrulez vs Edgat
Crunchy: loser; waiting for winner of Treeckoluv vs KOL40

Also, all of the above have reached the top sixteen, which means that they will earn at least 1000 Psybucks. Don't forget: everyone can still gamble. If some battles pop out as one-sided, go ahead and see if you can win 100 or more Psybucks.

Me and Edgat were battling, and my internet started acting up, I only saw two of his pokemon, but are we allowed to do a re-match, or does he win? If thats the case, then its my fault, sorry.

92% of all competitive battlers think that Skarm, Bliss, and a good 'Chomp is all you need to own things. If you're in the 8% who value creative thinking and originality with your teams, put this in you signature.

Sorry I haven't been able to battle. I get about a few minuets of Free Time on the comp as I have been busy with other stuff in my life.

Am I out? I can still battle Medichamrulez right now. I am not so busy at the moment.....

Edgat has already contacted me and said that he would like a rematch.

Pokemaniac, you ended up being out as a result of not contacting people. The tournament was a bit behind with battles, so I needed to accelerate it. You just ended up being in that line of inactive people, sorry.

The participation for this tournament is just...astounding. If you're going to sign up for a tournament, why the hell are you going to do it if you know you can't keep up? It just shows how intelligent most of you are.

The chats help when setting up a match. The only problem is that you need a Java applet for accessing it; which people for some reason don't feel like getting it (personal reasons, laziness - I was this way,etc.).

Due to the new forums, the tournament was postponed a few days, and that ended up causing a couple more battle delays. Round 5 will begin on Wednesday, and previous battles will once again be included. Here are the next round's battles:

Winners:

Krisp vs mudkipman
Medichamrulez vs Edgat

Losers:

magikoopa vs undertaker
Sapphirath vs ShinyHunter07
KOL40 vs Crunchy

Waiting:

A bunch

Again, check the bracket for further details. It can be found in the first post.

Round 6 will span from Monday to Wednesday. The battles:

Winners semifinals:

Krisp vs 4ever_bug_catcher
Roar Of Time vs Edgat

Losers bracket:

undertaker vs magikoopa
mudkipman vs Sapphirath
Geno vs Medichamrulez
KOL40 vs Crunchy

Due to the current lack of Psybucks, gambling is on hold. The tournament's prize winners will also end up waiting until the system is taken care of.

Just because the header isn't updated doesn't mean that the topic or battles can be ignored. Round 7 will primarily consist of round 6 battles. Also, congrats to Roar Of Time for reaching the winners bracket final. The opponent will be the winner of the other winners semifinal battle (the first in the list). Round 7 is from Sunday to Tuesday.

Battles: (subject to change)

Krisp vs 4ever_bug_catcher
undertaker vs magikoopa
mudkipman vs Sapphirath
Geno vs Medichamrulez
KOL40 vs Crunchy

Now that that's out of the way, I have a much more important requirement for ALL PARTICIPANTS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN ELIMINATED. IF YOU DON'T KNOW IF THAT INCLUDES YOU, THAT IS VERY SAD.

THOSE PEOPLE MUST PM ME BEFORE THE SEVENTH ROUND ENDS TO TELL ME THAT THEY ARE STILL WILLING TO BE IN THE TOURNAMENT. FURTHER CASES OF UNREPORTED BATTLES WILL RESULT IN BOTH BATTLERS BEING COMPLETELY ELIMINATED. I WILL NOT DELAY ANY MORE BATTLES THAT DON'T CONTACT ME AT ALL.

If you simply can't arrange a time and/or are really busy, I can understand and delay it if preferred. All you have to do is tell me. I do not see what is so immensely difficult about clicking and pressing some buttons. For all I care, I could put in people that lost in the first few rounds into these rounds just so that there would be some action.

Thanks to effective triple (and now quadruple) posting, multiple battle results were obtained. The top eight has been narrowed down, and the winners semifinal is still yet to happen. Round 8 (Friday - Sunday) will consist of these battles:

Krisp vs 4ever_bug_catcher

magikoopa vs FaceLess (Loser receives 8th)
Medichamrulez vs KOL40 (Loser waits to battle for 6th/7th)

Waiting:

Roar Of Time (vs winner of Krisp/4ever_bug_catcher)
Sapphirath (vs winner of magikoopa/FaceLess)

Round 9 update: (Thursday through Saturday)

Winners bracket final: Krisp vs Roar Of Time

FaceLess vs Sapphirath (loser receives 6th)
KOL40 vs 4ever_bug_catcher (loser receives 5th)

Congratulations to the magikoopa and Medichamrulez for receiving 8th and 7th place respectively. If there is a misunderstanding of why some people have advanced or byes have been played with, simply read previous posts.

I don't think I've ever posted six times in a row before, so this is starting to feel awkward. With only a few battles left, free time seems to be working against me again. This round, we wait on two important battles, including the winners bracket final. These battles:

Krisp vs Roar Of Time
KOL40 vs 4ever_bug_catcher

In other news, Sapphirath has knocked out FaceLess, who received 6th place overall.

2 Options, tiger....

1.) Leave this post here.
2.) Delete your last post, and repost it with a new date, like sN0wBaLL did with the Trainer Cards for a while.

I hope you're not serious. Either way, you're missing a lot of possible options such as the "delete irrelevant post and continue" option.

Anyway, with some unfortunate internet problems and work schedules, we'll just have to draw out this round even longer. One battle looks like it may occur shortly, but the other may take a while to organize (luckily its placement in the tournament allows for delays). As there's no real use for rounds now, I'll leave the schedules open for the battlers and update this topic when necessary. In the mean time, battlers should still contact me if they reach further unfortunate circumstances.

Newer update:

KOL40 has defeated 4ever_bug_catcher, who has received 5th place. KOL40 will now be facing Sapphirath to fight for 4th place. The winner will battle the loser of the Krisp/Roar Or Time match

Sorry for posting this late, my net has been down for almost a week.

I won't be able to battle anymore, WiFi doesn't work for some reason, and I won't be getting a wireless router for a while.

Again, I'm sorry for posting this so late, but I haven't been able to access the net since last Thursday because TWC is a bitch.

I was expecting something like this eventually from you with your internet situation lately, but I guess you'll just have to settle for third place. :P

With this in place, Roar Of Time will hold the top seed into the championship battle against the winner of the KOL40/Sapphirath match. Since this is a double elimination tournament, Roar Of Time will still have to lose twice to be knocked out. In the mean time, we should be hoping for his opponent to be determined by the weekend.

As of a couple days ago, I finally received the PMs detailing the results of the semifinal match. KOL40 defeated Sapphirath and will now face Roar Of Time for the tournament championship. This match will also be done on their schedules, so I cannot guarantee an end date. We can only hope that they find it easier to schedule. Also, for a little fun, there has been a poll added to this topic over who you think will win. Remember, KOL40 has to beat Roar Of Time twice to knock him out, whereas Roar Of Time only needs one win to hand KOL40 his second loss. Feel free to discuss who you think will win in here, too, as there's been no talk at all since the tournament started.

I voted Roar Of Time. Even if he didn't have to be beaten twice, I faced him in wi-fi once for a fun battle, and he kicked my butt.

Well, they are both great battlers to have gotten this far.

KOL40 stands a slightly better chance, as he got back into battling more recently competitively. He's warmed up for a good fight, enough to shoop-da-woop RoT.
Either that, or RoT will win simply as a statistical advantage - KOL screws up one move, and he's OUT!

RoT definetley. I battled him a few times and the best I ever did was beat one Pokemon.
He pwns me. :x
But maybe KOL can win once :? .
Also, I think RoT is away at the moment, so he mightn't reply to PMs.

Hmm, here I'd have to say Roar of Time. Even though I have no clue what either of their teams are (my WFC likes to annoy me and is broken), RoT just seems a lot more battle-savvy than KOL.
Plus, I know Roar of Time better than KOL.

Damn, I only get one vote? I guess I do have a tall order...2 consecutive wins.

But you guys don't know that everytime we have battled (5+), I have won...hehehe

Poor KOL40, that poll made me sad. :( I'll be rooting for the underdog.

Its not a question of who do I want to win, its a question of who statistically has a better chance.

GSC was about stalling
RS200 was sweeping
Hoenn to this point is defensive again.
DP to this point is a metagame of strategy - it appears as though it will be a question of strategy and luck, basing on the number of screw ups and their severity. The one with the least severe/fewest screw ups shall win the battle.
