I have to say, its an interesting list.

To start with, ALL 3 Kanto starters are on the list. Unfortunately, its doesnt tell us if they are using there Mega-Forms.

Greninija is the only starter from Gen 6 on this list. I can understand that give his ability. I am kinda dissapointed that Chesnaught isnt on the list. I guess not getting Drain Punch hurt him more than I thought.

Im not surprised that Fortress and Ferothorn is on there, but I am surprised that Gourgeist is not, but trevant is. I really Felt Gourgeist would be a excllent counter to these two, so I was expecting to see him.

Thats all that is really jumping out at me from this list.

Charizard and Blastoise are almost certainly that high in usage because of their Mega Evolutions. The only gray area is Venusaur, who was OU in Generation V for reasons that were nerfed in Generation VI. Also, Delphox made the list too, so Greninja wasn't the only Kalos Starter.

It's also important to note that these stats are based on only eight days of usage, and they are the first eight days of a new competitive Generation at that. Of course the list is going to be slanted toward the shiny new toys: Kalos Pokemon and Megas. I seriously doubt stuff like <3 Florges <3 is going to hang around in OU for the long run.

Aegislash is, as expected, on top, and so are Greninja and Talonflame. Charizard and Blastoise, as Frost said, are only there for their Mega Evos (I still can't understand Charizard, Pokemon with a 4x weakness to SR aren't usually that high). It's still early to make any assumptions.

SR hasn't had as huge of an impact on the meta currently since there is only a few decent setters (Forret and Ferro) who can use it, while spikes and sticky web are also fighting for the same teamslots.

Florges main niche in OU currently is that's it the only WishCleric around until pokebank comes out and puts Wishbliss, Wishkiss, and Eeveelutions above it. Personally I've really been liking Florges as a team cleric.

Florges isn't the only one who gets Heal Bell/Aromatherapy and Wish. Slurpuff and <3 Aromatisse <3 do too but they're undoubtedly worse than Florges in everything but HP in Aromatisse's case. I'm surprised that Sylveon has such a significant lead over Florges in usage, though, since they have very similar movepools and stat alignments i.e. Special bulky offense spreads that aren't too fast, guest starring worthless abilities because Sylveon doesn't even have Hyper Voice to abuse Pixilate with yet.

Honestly this list doesn't surprise me at least one bit with the one exception of Talonflame. I used it ingame and it was absolutely horrid for most of the game.

Talonflame's strength is in its hidden ability, Gale Wings, which give it priority Brave Bird, Acrobatics, and Roost, as well as for whatever other Flying-type moves it uses. I've used it in a few Showdown matches, and, although it isn't perfect, and you have to watch for Stealth Rock, it is pretty good. Granted, I didn't use one ingame, simply because of its stats, where speed is the only notable one, but Talonflame is a solid stop for Blaziken, it can revenge kill Scizor, whether it has Life Orb or Choice Band, it can OHKO Ferrothorn at full health, and with a Choice Band, and, with Life Orb and Stealth Rock, it can priority OHKO M-Gengar. Although both Blaziken and Gengarite have been banned from the Smogon OU, it still stands that Talonflame can take out some good OU pokemon, which is pretty good for a pokemon that has stats in the range of 75-ish bar speed.

Post-bank, Skarmory is going to be a god, as at gets the newly buffed Defog.

Except that by using it, Skarm will remove the hazards he sets as well. And he cant do much else other than set hazards, phaze things thru hazards, and block physical attacks.

Well, Skarmory can replace Fortress easily. Switch Skarm on a physical attack, Defog the opposing hazards, then set your own. It's not excellent, but has potential.
I'd like to see Geomancy Smeargle, to be honest. God, that would be fun.

Quiver dancing twice would be much safer as it wouldn't cost him his focus sash to run power herb. Also w/ quiver dance he has a chance to pull it off more than once.
