Yeah, since everyone is basically using the same Pokemon, I'd like to know which none-popular pokemon could be a good addition to a team.
for me, butterfree would be awsome, with compass eyes + sleep power and stun spore.

try Kriketune. Substitute,Swords Dance, Double Team, Aerial Ace. Leftovers
I just ignore the swarm ability and with aerial ace is no trouble.

Just add dream eater and high speed stat to that butterfree and it seems like a pretty good idea. ^^
I like to use nosepass in RSE then probopass in PD. His electric attacks help ward off water. Right now I'm using a probo with these moves.
- Magnet Rise (make it immune to ground, a major weakness)
- Discharge
- Rock Slide
- Rest
and with its def. and sp def. stats it can be quite a beast with rest.

Bibarel is ttly awesome..... j/k
I like using Toxicroak even though he has weaknesses to 2 of the most used attacks in the game (Psychic and Earthquake)

Torterra. Most people picked Empoleon or Infernape, (I picked Empoleon) but Torterra is still a good pokemon.

I think Lanturn has the potential to be a strong sweeper. Has one of the best type combination in the game. Bolt-beam + surf
also i think is a good substitute for the OU

I think Tauros is a good one.
He's fast & has a high atk stat.

Baton-pass this guy some speed and a Substitute from a Ninjask and have fun.
Charge Beam is mostly if you have a lot of problems with Water/Flying. But why not boost your own Sp.Att while doing damage?

Staraptor.
It's actually pretty good. I trained one to level 55, but then I kicked it out after I found a level 5 shiny starly.

Rukario, Torterra is the most used heh.
In my opinion is pretty good despite the low physical stats. Its Special stats is decent and has great HP. It can also know some good moves, though it is definitely not top tier.

Thats what i was saying. It has a 4x weakness, and is the wakest of the 3 starters, who have excellent type combinations. Torterra is easily taken out by the other 2. Slower then Empoleon, which can easily IB it, and of course Infernape. And there's other more used Grass types.

^^Are you talking about Torterra? Its physical stats are through the roof... and STAB with Earthquake to ward off fire-type foes? Forget abaht it.

It has good physical stats, but it loses because of its speed. And it's weakness' are Special. Torterra's max Sp.Defense stats are 295. Infernape's lowest Sp.Attack is 248, if you dont train it much and if it has a Sp.Atk lowering stat. Empoleon's lowest is 261. Plus that weakness and the others getting the STAB, Torterra loses out.

True... but, slow pokemon can still pwn everyone. Tyranitar's slow as hell but still makes an awesome sweeper. (Not that I'm comparing Torterra's attack power to Tyranitar's, but... )

In my opinion Torterra is underestimated, especially that everyone thinks it's the worst of the starter trio.
People seem to overlook the fact that with a sturdy defence stat, Curse, and resistance to a few of the most over-used attacks on physical sweepers, Torterra can be an outstanding physical wall. Also, passing a few Speed boots from Ninjask (etc) can make him a force.
People seem to overlook a few concepts whilst making comparisons between the trio, too. Empoleons' weakness to Earthquake severely weakens them, and if Aerodactyl comes into play, Infernape's done for.

Ampharos is one of my favourite UU pokemon
his stats may only be average, but he learns a wide range of attacks, making him versatile.
I don't see many people using seviper either. his shed skin ability is pretty sweet and his attacks are'nt too shabby either.
torterra is my favourite of the three new starters. Leech seed is my most favourite attack of all time, plus he learns earthquake, and by breeding you can give him amnesia, solving the problem of his lower special defense. plus he looks cool.

Lucario is used more often then their are bugs in the world! Personaly I think that Vespiquen is underestimated; it's defense and Sp. defense make a it a great tank with offensive capabilitys. Plus it's three signature moves rock!

I have but two highly underestimated Pokemon to mention:
Smeargle: It can learn any move, and has rather good Speed. If it has a Nature to increase the stat and maybe some EV training, it could potentially outrun just about everything thrown at it in-game. And with it's ability to learn anything, Cosmic Power could boost it's lacking Defenses to something more decent. Do not get me started on a Baton Passer set; there are simply too many possibilities.
Shuckle: My favorite Pokemon, as may be apparent to you. Shuckle has the highest Defense and Special Defense in the game, and when given a proper moveset can bring battles to a near halt while other things are being done, such as using Revives or Hyper Potions. Toxic hits a good number of Pokemon, and allows Shuckle to stall and do increasing amounts of damage at the same time, with no chances of missing.
In case you have yet to guess, I do own and train both of the aformentioned Pokemon.

Are you CAPABLE of reading? He was talking to the user named RUKARIOManiac. He was not saying Lucario is underestimated. If anything, Lucario is extremely overhyped and is not as good as everybody thinks it will be.
Also, Vepsiquen is not good. She's one of my favorite Sinnoh Pokemon, but it's hard to be a "great tank" when she has like five horrible weaknesses, one of them being a 4x, and Stealth Rock takes off FIFTY PERCENT OF HER LIFE due to her horrid typing. She can sit there and try to Defend/Heal Order up, but she'll still die at the hands of a single Critical Hit because those break through stat boosts.
And to whoever else said it, Staraptor is not underestimated at all. It will be a force in competitive battling and anybody who brushes it off because it fills the role of "early-game Normal/Flying nuisance" is obviously mistaken.
