My Gold team: @ Pink Bow -Thrash -Hyper Beam -Horn Attack -Earthquake @ Charcoal -Flamethrower -Strength -Fire Blast --->too much fire-type attacks, i know... something else? -Fire punch @ Mystic Water/NevermeltIce -Surf -Hydro Pump -Ice Beam -Body Slam @ Spell Tag/Blackglasses -Psychic -Bite --> i want Crunch instead this, but how? oO -Take Down -Shadow Ball @ Magnet -Swift -Iron Tail -Thunderpunch -Thunderbolt Edit: Where is my starter? - Its simply, i dont like the GSC starters... Lapras is better than Feraligatr, Magmar is better (in my opinion) than Typhlosion (or Arcanine surely). Perhaps Meganium is the best starter, but it can not learn Petal Dance, sadly for me...(and i have choose Totodile at the beginning, so i screwed up, i should have made a choice for Chikorita...) No legendaries? Wtf dude? - I dont like legendaries in my team (except Zapdos, it rocks with tbolt and drill peck).

Im not a rater but that teams pretty solid, the only thing i would say is maybe added to the team and Nidoking is pretty good but i would replace it with a with th elemental punches. But thats just my humble opinion.

Most certainly, you have a good team on your hands. But I reccomend a ghost/dark/psychic type in there. It'll pay off. Try a Haunter.

I will agree with Samurott on this, you have a nice team. However, I think you could do much better as far as their attacks are concerned. You have two Electric types, but that does not mean both of them need three Electric attacks apiece. The general rule of thumb to try is one STAB attack per Pokemon, and then you can have a lot of surprises and effective attacks. Myself, I don't always agree with that, but it is quite redundant to have both Raichu and Ampharos as part of your main 6 with three Electric attacks (both with Thunderpunch). While Thunder is really strong, its accuracy finally took a hit in GSC, making it a high-risk, high-reward attack. Up to you whether you keep it or not. Ditto on the Fire types (except without the uber attack), you might try adding another.
Not sure what to suggest on Pidgeot, but Tackle needs to be replaced... Ampharos should consider this as well.
If I had to make a suggestion, a Psychic type would be a good addition. There are lots of Water types to choose from that might find a good home on your team. One of my personal favorites is Gyarados, with a good moveset.
One thing you didn't include that most people would like to know (so they can better assess solutions) is the levels on this Pokes. You might consider that in future.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Here are their current level's and an updated roster. I think you did something wrong. How can your Raichu know Volt Tackle? Also, something I don't like is teach two moves of the same type for one Pokémon. I prefer to teach a move to counter a Pokémon with resistance of the main move's type. It's my opinion so you don't have to follow it.

I would post my Soul Silver team but I stupidly restarted. However, I do remember they were pretty good since I beat The E4, Red and all 16 gym leaders using them. I think I beat the E4 6 times and Red 3 times. When I build a great team again, I'll post.

Hahaha, that is hilarious. Although, I find it very hard to believe because it must be like a one in a million chance of Togetic's metronome mimicing the moves of two legendaries! Might I ask, do you ever use an Action Replay or any other way of cheating the game? That could be the reason why your Togetic managed to pull it off. Ah well. If it's real or not, it still made me laugh!

Eventhough I'm very anal- Shut up- about posting threads in the wrong forum, I can count a lot that are on HGSS in here. Theyre practically the same.

That was my first post, gimmie a break. :P And why is it called the Sinjoh Ruins? I take it it's a combo of Sinnoh and Johto. But HGSS is Kanto/Johto so it should really be renamed Kanjoh Ruins. O.o

Crystal team: Lv. 39 -Wrap -Strength -Sludge Bomb -Bite Lv. 39 -Fly -Hypnosis -Reflect -Peck Lv. 39 -Shadow Ball -Night Shade -Curse -Confuse Ray Lv. 39 -Rock Throw -Iron Tail -Sandstorm -Headbutt Lv. 39 -Earthquake -Flame Wheel -Smokescreen -Cut Lv. 40 -Surf -Hypnosis -Rock Smash -Ice Punch Note: I would evolve Poliwhirl but I don't know how to get any evolution stones until I can get to Kanto. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gold team: Lv. 20 -Sing -Nightmare -Headbutt -Flash Note: My team is level 19-20, but I spent a long time just raining my Geodude so I could evolve a Graveller into a Golem while I still had access to a connector cord, so is currently switched out with Lv. 13, which I really want on my team. I might just end up using it as a rotation. I only have 4 gym badges so far, so the moves of my Pokémon don't really matter yet besides Jigglypuff.

Raichu @ Bright Powder didnt know raichu could learn surf
Surf Swagger Thunderbolt Thunder Wave
I never really liked the Rain Dance - Surf - Thunder Combo, whenever I would set it up Rain Dance, I would get nailed by an EQ.
Seaking @ Leftovers
Surf Ice Beam Toxic Rest
Seaking's Movepool stinks!
Articuno @ Leftovers
Bubblebeam Ice Beam Sky Attack Rest
I know it stinks, But I couldn't get HP Flying.
Meganium @ Mint Berry
Razor Leaf Body Slam Earthquake Rest
I never really like the Sunny Beam (Sunny Day - Solarbeam combo), since it makes it easier to knock him out.
Zapdos @ Mint Berry
Drill Peck Thunderbolt Steel Wing Rest
I'm thinking of T-Wave over Steel Wing.
Umbreon @ Mint Berry
Bite Psychic Body Slam Rest
Start with Body Slam to Paralyze and then Flinch with Bite, Psychic is there for Fighters.
Espeon @ Bright Powder
Psychic Bite Sunny Day Morning Sun
Moltres @ Mint Berry
Flamethrower Steel Wing Sky Attack Rest
Crobat @ Bright Powder
Swagger Wing Attack Bite Giga Drain
Note: I do have a Gameshark, so I can shark moves on it, but I only want Legal ones.

The only problem with Weepinbell IMO is that it knows Sunny Day. It strengthens fire-type moves and only comes in handy when using Solarbeam, but unless you plan on using it more than once in the next 5 turns, you use a turn to use Sunny Day when you would have been using that turn to charge up the attack anyway.
