I thought of this moveset. Will it work and is it good? I think this is the right forum 2 put it in

Alakazam @ Choice Scarf
Timid

--Trick
--Torment
--Psychic
--Seismic Toss

Trick, to switch items, Torment, then sweep with psychic and seismic toss.

The problem with trick on alakazam is that:

A: He's really frail. most pokes wont set up against him since he hits hard and is a easy OHKO. so tricking them a choice item would just be sacrificing him to set up a latter poke. Which is kinda a waste.

B: if he does live a hit the opponet may become faster with the scarf, try specs instead. Then if you have to use psychic right off it'll kill.

The combination of Torment and trick is a nice idea though, I think Hypno, Dusknoir or Grumpig could pull it off better though. (maybe Persian?)

Dusknoir definitely does this better.

Speaking of new trick users.. I had a bronzong get me yesterday with a full incense... it makes you always move last AND doesn't affect Gyro ball's damage

Now THAT'S COOL!
Well... I loved some of the new pokes with Trick...
Even without knowing what really good it would be mading for they...Gengar for example...
Why would he want to do a trick?

Blissey used Softboiled!
etc.

choiced walls are really not that effective

Gengar fits with Alakazam for the use of trick. It's fast and capable, but too fragile to use against anything but walls like bliss. Though Gar probably pulls it off a bit better with it's immunities and opponents likely to be switching to a sleep talk/absorber.

exactly..... on your first turn alakazam just uses psychic. he can see what their counter is. if they switch in blissey, then just switch out. next time you have alakazam in, you know they will switch in blissey - thats when you use trick...

other more durable pokes can use trick just about any time.

i'm currently using a trick gengar in the battle tower - with choice specs it can OHKO heaps of stuff. but if it cant, then you just trick the choice specs onto something that will get screwed up by it. most things it cant OHKO with a choice specs are slow tanks, so they dont really benefit from it in the least.....
