1st thing i noticed: You need at least i more poke to have sandstorm. 2nd thing: Fire weakness. You've got quite a few steel types there, and in my opinion jirachi and metaX are a bit redundant. (yes I know many of your pokes pack EQ) 3rd: no rock types, no stone edge on any poke. correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe sandstorm boosts the power of rock attacks. Also a rock type would be kinda nice to add. perhaps Rhyperior instead of jirachi? Also, while Flygon does have levitate to switch into EQ, Garchomp has Sand Veil, which can be annoying. For your Metagross, instead of hidden power (which is special, while you clearly have a physical metax), I suggest Expolsion, or Bullet Punch. So yea. That's my two cents. For a sandstorm team you don''t have much sandstorm. |

No, sandstorm deals damage to Pokemon that are not rock/steel/ground. It also boosts the special defense stats of rock types (yeah, only rock types) by 1.5. Other than that, that's it. Also, while Flygon does have levitate to switch into EQ, Garchomp has Sand Veil, which can be annoying. For your Metagross, instead of hidden power (which is special, while you clearly have a physical metax), I suggest Expolsion, or Bullet Punch. Garchomp is banned, unless Wiles wants to play casually with his friends/gets an agreement with people over the internet/real life. I think Thunderpunch is also a good alternative as well. Well, his Metagross actually kinda looks like a mixed variant...except his EVs don't really match up with Smogon's set. So yea. That's my two cents. For a sandstorm team you don''t have much sandstorm. Wiles, I'll try to rate your team later in the rating center. At a glance though, I'm thinking you should use more sandstreamers and more pokemon that take full advantage of the sand (rock types/sandveil). |

So far I haven't crossed a fire pokemon who I couldn't deal with. Jirachi is good for healing team members. Jirachi is also for gyrados. Metagross is for Swampert, but with hidden power also bets other steels. I would have Garchomp but it is uber now. Tyranitar didn't help much either. I don't believe sandstorm boost rock moves, but I also haven't found a good rock type to abuse the special defense boost. Flygon and Jirachi double U-turning is very good. I like Breloom because he is not affected by the sand to much and has a very cheap moveset. So far my only problem is stat-upers, mainly tanks who are the last pokemon and can't be whirlwinded away. |

I meant in addition to damage. ![]() Yeah, I kinda figured you already knew about the damage. I just felt like writing it out anyway...I don't know why...just felt like it. |

Well, I'm just going to suggest a few things. 1- Use shuckle or t-tar, as they really take advantage of the 1.5x Sp. def boost from SS and provide great people to set it up. 2. I'd suggest putting physical moves on Metagross, as he is a huge physical attacker. I'm pretty sure that he can learn Thunderpunch, which would be a lot more effective then t-bolt. |

Use a tyranitar. powerful, takes advantage of sandstorm, plus he whips up a sandstorm himself. and hes supa-cool. ![]() Honestly, if you're trying to make a sandstorm team, just start anew. Get rid of the Breloom, jirachi, and flygon. And i dont know enough about EVs to rate the EVs of hippowdon, metagross, and skarmory, but they dont look right.... Question: Would it be good to have both shuckle and tyranitar in a sandstorm team? |
