Swampert is awesome but Typhlosion is my favourite starter so it isn't much of a choice for me.

Swampert is the best out of the third gen starters.
I never really cared for typhlosion.

No way, all Grass types are out? Well I guess my vote's gonna be...
Swampert /Typhlosion
Judging by usefulness in battles, Swampert has a bigger movepool of strong attacks - Water-type (eg. Surf), Ground-type (eg. Earthquake), & even Ice-type (eg. Ice Beam) attacks to cover its 4x Grass weakness. As for Typhlosion...Cool-looking? Yep. Large movepool? Not that much. I still like it, though.

Been voting for Typhlosion all along. Best Fire type starter in the game. / Swampert is cool, but not as cool as Typhlosion.

My reasons for swampert, have already been stated. I do like typlosion but, i just dont use it that much, plus I cant vote for blastoise..

I love both, but it kinda makes me sad to see Swampert get so many Down votes. So, just to go against the flow (And my previous votes):

It seems as if my vote will make no difference, as has already won (thanks, Wailord_2). However, I'm still voting.
I've used before, but never . has a better movepool and typing than . Plus, is out.
I wish good luck to our two finalists: the Water turtle and the Water lizard-frog-thing .

Out of all the Gen I Pokemon, when I was a kid, the one I really wanted was a Blastoise. He's awesome, blue, and has two huge water guns cannons on his back. All this = EPIC. Some might argue that he's ugly, but then I look at Swampert, and.... 'nuff said . But really, even though I voted for Blastoise, I wouldn't be too disappointed if Swampert won, so it's win-win for me.

I love Hoen. I hate Blastoise, mine always suck. I'm using Swampert for my current Nuzlocke. I don't feel like making a long post, so... there.

Definitely Blastoise ! I mean definitely going DOWN! Ever since the 1st round, I voted against the fat turtle. Plus, I'm playing Charizard in my LeafGreen now, so I certainly hate Gary's Blastoise, who always gave me a hard time.
As for Swampert ...Beside what I said before, there's a little more to it...My first Pokemon game is Sapphire, so unlike many 'older' players I don't have the nostalgia feel for Gen I, but instead for Hoenn. (Though currently I'd used every starter BUT Mudkip)
