Quote: And I'm pretty sure there's some S.S. ships in the side games...XD isn't it? And...something else... There are a few in side games, but I only asked for main-series games. You don't need to name the boats from side games.

Hm, what? No takers? And after I was in Arizona all weekend? Odd. I guess I'll put this question on hold...or rather, I will leave it up for grabs still (to those who haven't taken a guess at it yet). In the meantime, enjoy this question.
Excluding Pokemon that have the same base stat in every stat (e.g. the base 100s such as Mew and Victini), how many Pokemon are there that have identical base stat distribution (not total) to another Pokemon? (Worth 3 points, but you get 2 more points if you can name them all.)
Bonus: Name all the ships that have appeared in the Pokemon main-series games whose names start with "S.S.".

Well, I wont even begin to guess. Personally, I think that this trivia is worth giving up on.

Only pokes I can think of are ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif) Simisage, Simisear and Simipour); (Pansage, Pansear and Panpour); (Tornadus and Thundurus) They are all similar to each other poke in their brackets. So that makes 8, but there are probably others.

@King_Charizard: You got all of them except for 1. If no one guesses the last one, you will get 2 points.
@Dragoboy: You got all of those groups except for 1...so if no one guesses the last one, you'll get 2 points as well.
For anyone to guess the last one for either, you'll get 1 point.

I can name four other pairs:
(Charmander, Cyndaquil), (Charmeleon, Quilava), (Charizard, Typhlosion), (Silcoon, Cascoon)
Pansage and friends, Simisage and friends and Tornadus/Thundurus make up the rest.

Wasn't aware of Silcoon/Cascoon; I knew about Typhlosion/Charizard but I didn't know it applied to the pre-evos as well. 2 points for that. Ah, moving on... Quote: DragoBoy - 18 ShinyLucario - 8 Cherrygrove - 6 Mektar - 5 Skeleton - 5 Dare234 - 3 twistedturtwig - 3 Shuckle-rock$ - 2 King_Charizard - 2 Let's see. I'm going to try and not go too outlandish, seeing as I seem to stump you people, but I don't want to hand you a question either... Ah! I've got it. As far as main-series games go, there is only 1 Legendary Pokemon that cannot be caught in the wild nor received from a special event. Who is it?(The currently unreleased Pokemon - Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect - don't count.) Bonus: Excluding SS Anne, SS Aqua, SS Tidal, and SS Sinnoh (aka SS Spiral), what is the 1 other ship in the main series games whose name begins with SS? (worth 1 point only)

Taking a shot at Phione. It needs to be breed from Manaphy and Ditto, and it's not in the wild, and there's no special event for it.
This one was a lot easier than the others...

That seems likely, though Phione's Legendary status means a ton of debate. Some people - myself included - don't accept it as a Legendary because of bad stats, ability to obtain multiple ones in one game, weird - if not bizarre - way to obtain, etc. But I really can't think of a better answer either...Even for the extremely rare Celebi and Jirachi there are still some events for them...

Zorua? Because you can only catch it in 3 ways: 1) Hacking. 2) Celebi special event that unlocks it. 3) Trading for it, like me.
Those are my reasons.
So I wasnt right? It wasnt the Regis? I thought I would of got that one, at least.

@ Samurott: Er, Zorua isn't even a Legendary Pokemon? Funny thing about the Regis. I was just "studying" (if that term applies to Pokemon) about them some time earlier and they have drastically different stats. Regirock has a monstrous 200 base Defense and Regice has equally strong Sp. Def, while Registeel has a balanced 150 Def. 150 Sp. Def. Of course, their other stats are shuffled around. Even that Lake Trio - which, in my eyes, are just carbon copies of each other - have extremely different stats distributions. Yes, not just "switching 200 Def 80 Sp. Def to 80 Def 200 Sp. Def" or "more offensive vs more defensive", but completely different allotment. Now that's done, I'm gonna go check to make sure my newly captured Regice ICECUBE in Sapphire doesn't attempt to escape from the PC box 5 days after its capture.

Yep, it was Phione. It's debated, but the evidence of it being a legendary is strongly in Phione's favor. Quote: DragoBoy - 18 ShinyLucario - 8 Cherrygrove - 6 Mektar - 5 Shuckle-rock$ - 5 Skeleton - 5 Dare234 - 3 twistedturtwig - 3 King_Charizard - 2 Ah, yes, and ShinyLucario explained the Regis nicely: Regirock has 200 Def and 100 SpDef base; Regice has 100 Def and 200 SpDef base; and Registeel has 150 of each. Zorua isn't a legendary Pokemon, and there's still an event for Zorua anyway, so that technically would not have been a valid answer. Here's a really fun question for you guys! There are exactly 4 Pokemon in existence that can learn Drain Punch and don't have hands. Who are they?Bonus: Excluding SS Anne, SS Aqua, SS Tidal, and SS Sinnoh (aka SS Spiral), what is the 1 other ship in the main series games whose name begins with SS? (worth 1 point only)

"Hands", you say? Or does it include "arms" also? Because quite some Pokemon - like Cacnea and Cacturne - would fit the "don't have hands" part.
Skeleton got me thinking about Pokemon who (temporarily) lose their hands/arms upon evolution...or maybe as Egg Moves... But there's another key word: "learn", not just "use"...so inheriting it from a previous evolution doesn't count? Or...or...Ergh...B-brain...overload...

The only criterion is that they don't have hands.
Actually...I just looked again and I fear I have been remiss in my question-asking. I am looking for Pokemon that don't have hands, but I'm not looking for Pokemon that have stubby little arms/hands like Bellossom and such.
As an apology for making another slip-up, I give another hint: I was mistaken - there isn't 4, there's 5; and 2 of them have no arms at all!
I'm not doing very well at this...

I'm still a little confused...but still going with Cacnea and Cacturne.

There's also Togekiss but I must confess that I accidentally stumbled on that when checking some sets on Smogon

Sorry for the double posting, but a crazy idea just crossed my mind.
I'm going to guess SS Gallop for the final SS ship.

I think I know the final S.S. Ship (unless of course ShinyLucario is correct) In RSE the old Abandoned ship is called the S.S. Cactus.

Cacnea, Cacturne, and Togekiss are all correct guesses for Drain Punch, so ShinyLucario will be credited 1.5 points (instead of 2, to compensate for the accident). And so is Shroomish, so Skeleton gets half a point.
And yes the SS Cactus is the last SS ship, so 1 point to Wailord_2.
That leaves the 5th Drain Puncher with no hands to be discovered. (Having stubby arms/hands doesn't count.)

Oh darn it. So it's actually the S.S. Cactus...that would explain all the holes in it now that I think about it I actually heard about that a little while ago watching an LP... [ShinyLucario's Self-confidence greatly fell!]
Turns out the little boat in FRLG is called the Seagallop Ferry. I vaguely recall some "S" about its name, so that's why... BUT WAIT! According to Bulbapedia, its Japanese name is translated into S.S. Sea Gallop. Oh, the sheer irony.
Well, somebody better get the final armless Pokemon, as this round has dragged on long enough already. Want me to give you a hand? </bad pun>

I think I know what the answer DNA is looking for is (having looked up the learners of Drain Punch right after my guesses). But it's still kinda... something. If I say, it'll give it away.
