I didn't know where to put this, but here seems just fine.

So my question is; do you guys use one of your gen 4 games as your "super" game, the game where you constantly just trade pokemon from other games to it for battle tower/multiplayer/etc. If so, which one do you use? Right now my super game is Platinum because I'm too lazy to trade over 300+ pokemon to HG or SS (although I'm very tempted due to the improved sprites and touch menu...)

Well, I expect it's just going to be HG, since I've never even gotten to a national dex before. And, though it sounds like it might be some work, I can transfer pokémon from my GBA games. Still don't have a Ledyba though.

My Diamond. I have Caught/Seen all 493 pokemon, I have beat the battle tower a couple times and i have over 500 hours clocked in. I got it early May of 2007.

Before HGSS came out, Platinum was mine. Complete National Dex, and a crapton of legendaries, shinies, and event Pokemon on it. Now I'm going to transfer all my "good" Pokemon from Platinum to HG, and use HG as my "super" game.

Diamond for filling the National Dex, HeartGold for... everything else.

Mine would have to be my Pearl game. I use it more than other games. Since I have the National dex on that game, i can do alot of stuff. I use it for trading, breeding, and for chaining shinies. That game holds all my shinies and event pokemon. I will probably trade all them to my Diamond and Soul Silver games onece they. I just need to beat the last gym annd the Elite 4 in Diamond and get the National dex and Pokeradar, and then im going to bring all the Pokemon I want to keep to that game, but I might split the difference with soul silver. Im going to Pal Park alot of Pokemon from my Ruby and Sapphire games, in cluding Wishmaker Jirachis, Southern Island Eon Duo, and once i can officially get them off my japanese Colusseum bonus disk, Ageto Celebis. Im also going to trade my good pokemon from that colusseum file and pal park them as well. If recent started trading all my shinies to Heart Gold and Soul Silver, because I really love how they're sprites are shiny whn they walk with you. Im trading level 1 shinies to HG to make an awesome team to play throught the game with

Soul Silver would be mine. I used to play normal silver and then got too old and didn't play the games anymore. I met the guy I'm with right now, have a 7month old, and decided to pick up pokemon again with Soul Silver. I just bought Leaf Green so that I can complete my pokedex in Soul Silver. Once Black and White come out, I will play Black while my boyfriend plays White and we will trade to help complete the pokedex. Then Black will be my next ultimate game.

It just seems like as the new games come out, you would move up in which one is the use you use the most and all the time because they become more advanced.

For a while emerald was still my "super" until i bought platinum then i moved my stuff to that. But I hated Sinnoh so when HG came out it became my "super"

Diamond would have to be my super game its just so conveinint for me to leave my stuff on it like the millions of unique items and pokemon i cloned on emerald

Soul silver definitely! I made more progress on it than any of my other games.

Diamond,no doubt. I'm pretty sure my win/lose record is 27 and 3,or something like that. and I completed the national dex with all lv.100s. No hacks,what now.:p

My super game was HeartGold before my little brother restarted it, deleting all my shinies and events and "good" pokemon.. Oh well. Now I get to play through it all over again so I guess it's not all bad. ^.^

I am going to make black my master game and transfer 400+ pokemon.

I have about 70-80 lv 100 pokes ive trained and about 45 shinies.

Black is not a Gen 4 game you know...

Anywho, I plan to just use Soul Silver as my ""Super"" game as it was Platinum but I have since transfered all my Platinum Version pokemon to my Soul Silver & have restarted my Platinum file as well to play through the game again with whatever pokemon I want...I don't want to use Soul Silver but it's the only Gen 4 game where I am actually forced to at this point not restart or else no more Event PokeWalker routes among other things...meh...

i no its not gen 4 but this question transends generations!

Lastly, I was just saying as I don't really care either way as you do have a point however...

I always use the newest game out, so currently I use Soul Silver for everything.
