For some reason no single cloning method has ever worked for me, except in GSC. I'm not worried (for I have the Action Replay Pokemon Modifier) but it would be nice to quickly be able to clone and stuff. I will try again, but for some reason I can never get the DS off at the perfect time.

Hey, could I ask someone to clone some of my pokemon for me? I would give you a cloned Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, Blaziken, or anything else easily caught in Emerald, because I understand the not-so-glitch that lets you clone pokemon, but I don't like the not-so-glitch in D/P. In emerald, it saves your position, team, and items pocket. Here, it's a lot harder, and it's not supposed to be able to clone anything, just another accident in design sort-of. So, pease...? I want to clone Rayquaza, Arceus, Darkrai, and a bunch more.

I just cloned on Emerald, this seems too risky. But I guess I could try to clone my Emerald clones...*clones Rayquazas*

So far, and as far as I know, I'm pretty sure that AR and GTS are the only ways found to clone on DPP. I wish there was another way, too, for people w/o WI-Fi or a AR. (My 100th message!)

I clone via Action Replay. It's a really safe method as long as you make sure that you input the correct code, but the downside is that I have to take it off and re-add it after using Pokesav(makes custom pokemon). The biggest pro to this method is that it only takes a few seconds and just involves a few button presses in your PC.

How safe is this compared to the emerald method?
EDIT: I've cloned hundreds of times on emerald without my game being deleted. Maybe even thousands....

A mew is always best. A Mewtwo isn't good. You could however ask for a low level Mewtwo (e.g. level 20 Mewtwo).

All this GTS cloning is too risky, isn't there a way too clone without a GTS?

I always clone pokes. When I use the GTS to clone I always select Mewtwo Lv 9 and under, never fails. Cloned heaps of pokes that way. The only qualm with the GTS is that I can't trade for pokes I haven't seen yet, and it absolutely **** me. I mean how am I meant to get Mew.

BTW, they fixed the glitch in Platinum. Also, I have seen level 7 Mews and stuff like that on the GTS and it let me trade for them even though they turned out to be hacked. And the problem is that as it is the rarer stuff youd want to clone, people notice a lot quicker and are willing to do unfair trades. For example I got shiny level 100 Lugia and Deoxys for 2 level 1 Manaphy. Any ideas anyone?

Cloning is such a b****!!! its pretty much random especially if you share wi fi...damn and i have to borrow pearl from my friend..ar cloning is considered fake isnt..like you wont be able to trade them gts wise???

Clonning is so simple, I've gotten it down to an art. The easiest method is to limit all use of the router and watch for the transfer of data out then soft reset. Simple.

Also you have to realise that once you get clonning down you'll pretty much trade for anything no matter how unfair it is, even to yourself. Seeing that the pokes loose their value, at least to the OT. So that's probably why you'll see unfair trades go down. I mean at the moment I'll trade anything I have for a Mew, lv 1 or not.

Why can't I clone my mew in Platinum? Can anyone help?

I agree with Holifax that getting pokemon the hard way is easier. I myself completed the national dex in my Diamond version by cheating. I didn't feel any sense of accompleshment, barely even noticed. In my Platinum version i completed the pokedex the honest way and it felt great. In diamond i cloned my Lv.100 mewtwo like 400 times and just traded it for pokemon i needed. In platinum when i actually needed one over wi-fi I went out and caught a rare pokemon or trained a pokemon up to a nice high level.

Besides I am afraid that cloning would mess up my Platinum version. If the memory was wiped I would be so mad i would put myself in jail just for everybody else's safety.

*sigh* im absolutely hopeless at cloning in my pearl version, lol. i was a master at it in emerald, but my wireless is a bit erratic here, so its a no go on the cloning. oh well. *shrugs*
