i restarted my crystal 1 week ago and i only play it like three times a week.. i'm busy with my emerald and ruby right now.. anyways i just defeated jasmine and right now i'm going to train lvl 25. he'll be my 5th pokemon in the party.

On my Gold I've managed to catch all 3 dogs without cheating or using the master ball. Ho-oh is now LV71, but I've been too busy over the weeks to continue training.
My next goal is to train Zam and Suicune to LV71, but this may take a while as I'm busy with the advanced generation and throwing out my trash. (In my room.)

I have just finished getting my 249th pokemon - without cheating!

Now i think i will restart Red Version and exploit the Mew Glitch, which is cheating!

Then I need Celebi. I wonder how i'm gonna get it though. I don't know of anyone of my friends that do have it, so I'm gonna have to go looking.

- Persian - Level 56 - I had delusions at one stage that it would be a good idea getting a pokemon that knows pay day to level 100. I soon found out it was faster to just THRASH the Delete 4. Persian has been a bench warmer for a while now.

And I used to fill up the last spot with a low-level pokemon I was training for Pokedex. Now there isn't anything left to train

I notice lots of people are either starting new games or picking the game up after it got dusty on a high shelf and they saw this thread and decided to play for old times sake.

I have been playing my Silver steadily for 5 years not and have clocked more than 375 hours.

I'm hoping the battery doesn't fail - at least until I find mew and celebi!

I myself will never restart my faithful Silver version that has given me good times for years now and is still going strong.

Well, if you just call it exploitation of faulty programming, then it's not really cheating, is it now?

On my Crystal, I beat the elite four, got all the gym badges in Kanto, and beat Red all in one day. That was about 4 weeks ago. I decided to start over my Gold version just for the fun of it. All I have is a Cyndy with a naughty name. I like playing with the time reseting thing.

The egg will be one of the baby pokemon. You can find Growlithe on the route where the Sudowoodo is too.

A) Do you mean as a baby Pokemon as in: , , , , or ? Is it completely random, that the egg, will hatch into one of those five?

B) I have no idea where to find Sudowoodo?

Smoochum and Magby too. Sudowoodo is that big tree south of Eckuteak city.

It looks like you've bypassed the spot where Growlithe are. Try the small patch of grass right outside of Azelea town, the one right by Union Cave and the girl who's tired from walking through the tunnel. I'm not entirely certain, but I think I saw one there a few times...

If that search turns out to be a fruitless task, then you'll have to wait until you get through Ilex Forest and on to Goldenrod to find a Growlithe in the long strip of grass directly North of the city...the one where Bug Catcher Arnie is hanging out.

Or you could wait for the Mystery Egg from the Daycare to hatch and see if it's a Magby.

PS: The egg has a 50% chance of producing a shiny Pokemon...but I've never had that much luck.

I just checked the Psydex, and there are no Growlithe spottings on Route 33, unless its wrong.

I have not played gold/silver/crystal versions for a long time but i exploited a glitch on gold to get all 3 starters and trained them all to lvl 100 along with 3 other pokemon do not remember what ones they were cause it has been a while an i no longer have the game am trying to get them again but they are really hard to find now

beat them real fast with my team of lvl 100s and red was like easy for me lol
