Blue was my FIRST EVER GAME and I love it dearly. I wish I could play it on my DS. Did anyone else get a Pokemon red or blue as their first video game? If so, how do you pay due respect to that little cartridge of joy? |

I got blue first, then red! I for some reasoned liked red better because I had a lvl 94 blastoise |

No, because I wasn't three years old in 1999 like 90% of this forum. Gameboy Pocket was my second video game system. |

Yes, I got a Red and I pay my respect to it by... Keeping it thrown in some place with my Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire! > : D Not my Emerald, though. 
I wasn't three in 1999.... I was four  . But, not my fault, I didn't pick when I was born

Gold was my first game that I actually owned (Christmas 2000), but Yellow was the first game I actually played (a friend lent me his). I devoured the Yellow version like candy, and when Gold came around, I did practically the exact same thing. Yeah, Kanto and Johto were awesome. |

We moved to Buckinghamshire, and no one liked me. Blue was my one true source of solace. I still play it now because it is so good. |

Yellow version was my first gameboy game and the first game I purchased myself, if that counts for anything, but GBC was my second game system. I was 7 back in'99 >.> |

I got Red First. Then Yellow and finally, blue. I keep 'em in a Plastic Game package in a Silver Locked Box with my Brick-Sized Original gameboy. (i THINK its the original). I was 5 in 1999. |

i got Pokemon Red but failed to beat it, then i got Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, i think im more of a Hoenn Starter than Kanto |

The first game I tried was red. But my own first game was Crystal. I think Red and Crystal are better than the new RSE, FRLG and PD. I doesn't feel right when I play RSE, FRLG and PD. |

My first game was Red. It was given to me by a bully because it doesn't save when I was 12. But a friend of mine told me to change it's battery for it to save (the battery was too expensive,if you know what I mean). My next game was a Silver,sold to me by a thief (actually it's classmate).Also it doesn't save,but I returned it to the owner and got my money back. Too bad for me I also want the game,but the (it's like a nail it needs a screw for it to remove. I just forgot it's name.) is not compatible to my tools as well. But now I use LG,the only thing I will remember there is Mew.Because there's no Nintendo Event in my country I can't spend a plane ticket to go to Japan or America. |

I started in Kanto but not with Red, Blue, or Yellow. I started with Leaf Green(My first Game Boy was a Game Boy Advance SP). |

And them I asked my parrents to by a Pokémon game. I forgot to tell them wich game, so they bought Crystal. I also think that it doesn't feel right when I play the new games. |

my first game was red. i had all level 100 pokemon courtesy missingo cheat. i got all 150 pokemon. but l left my red on top of my car wen i got home from a frend's house and forgot abt it. the car went out the driveaway and was gone. i never saw my red again..........................

My first game was yellow and it was awsome! I play FireRed now and I love the graphics changes and the Islands. I hope they make an Eletric Yellow or something, for remake of yellow |

I got Yellow Version as my first game, with a special gameboy color to go with it. My dad managed to get me a Mew at a Nintendo Event (or something - I was only 4, so I couldn't remember), and I accidentally started a new file... But I fixed it using the mew cheat (Although he did get me a Nindoking without a moonstone... )

My first was Crystal im not that old but then I got yellow I loved it I lost like 10 pounds playing that game and then I was hooked for the rest of my life,Man I love pokemon .My first starter I ever had was
 but I figured out that I was really good with  .
