A bit more than halfway done, I guess, it's taken over six hours total. This is getting tiresome >.< I wanna add a background, too, which will take even /longer/. Well, at least I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.

Omg, I don't know what your talking about. You both have great Pics and Images. I wish I could work like youm but All I have is Photoshop CS and Imageready. All I want to do is be able to draw and work like you guys.

O_o, I would /kill/ for Photoshop CS! We have it at school, it's an awesome program, just exceedingly complicated and hard to get used to. For a beginner, if you don't do much computer art, it might seem like leveling an anthill with a steamroller- overkill, and much harder to use than some of the simpler programs.

Try messing around with your layers tool, to figure out what it can do- it will be a powerful and often-used ally in all pictures. If you have a scanner, try scanning a picture, setting its layer to "multiply", creating a new layer beneath it and adding some colour. If you can't scan, draw a sketch on one layer in, say, light blue, then create a new layer above it, "ink" the sketch with black, and erase the sketch layer, leaving you with clean black lines.

More important than your graphics program, however, is learning about anatomy, and how to draw figures, even if you work in a very cartoon-y style. I'd have to see something you've drawn to give you tips on what to look for there, though

Hey! Well, how's my sig? I just made it with Photoshop. Like it? I used the paint bucket tool, made it bubbly, then made the star-duplicated it, Radial Blur the 1st star once, then did it for the 2nd star quite a few times, and then recolored the 1st star-the one that's blue, added type, changed the color, and added a 90 degree angle drop shadow. My father uses Photoshop a lot, and I love using it. I like filters.

Filters are fun for sigs, although less useful for human-ish pictures. Try downloading some free photoshop brushes for very cool sig effects, your dad can probably help you install them. You could make a thread here for your signatures, too, to get comments and advice on how to improve them.

Yeah, especially since my shops keep dieing as soon as they get good.
