The colors aren't really bright and obvious enough for them to be revamps... maybe you should try using the colors from their FRLG/RSE equivalents...

-.- If I made 'em brighter, they'd look stupid. Believe me.
All I did was select a portion of color, then swap around the hue/sat and brightness on 'em.

These look like good GSC-gen revamps, you've done a great job separating out the colours on the rapidash sprite in particular, but because of the leap in technology between the gameboy colour and the GBA, the colours in FR/LG are a lot more vivid. To start, try changing the colours themselves to those found in FR/LG sprites, like CF suggested- select the colour area, select the colour you want, and then brush/fill tool it in, instead of just altering the hues. Then you'll probably need to go in pixel by pixel and make minor adjustments, particularly to the outline. LGFR/RSE usually use two or three more levels of colour than RBY did, too- I found that in rapidash, I had to add one extra colour to the RBY's mane, in the yellow part, and one extra colour to the main body outline.
Quick example of what I mean.
These are a great start, but by using more vivid colours and some pixel-by-pixel work, you can take your revamps to the next level

Like this?
I know it's not perfect. I'm not aiming for perfect.
EDIT: I tried it out a bit on the Rapidash, but I used an orangish-yellow for the fire. How's it look?
EDIT (again): I tried making a halfvamp (as I'm calling mine) fusion, like it?

Actually, the shiny Pokemon are pretty good.
Well, you might have to shade a little more bit to make it look more like CD.
Here are some examples:
Made by me. The shades are very important.
Well, click here to see a Revamping guide.
Since this is a start, 8.7/10!

I wrote: I know they're not EXACTLY the same colors as a FR/LG equivalent, but that's not my point, and I wasn't aiming for a FR/LG sprite.

They look good. What I did on my first revamp was stare at it for God knows how long, then add shading. The FR/LG Pokemon dont have as much shading as the RSE, just more...straightforward colors. I revamped this sprite, and as Gryph said I had to add colors in some circumstances. I assume by your sprites , i.e. Mewtwo, you were aiming for a better than RBY but not this sort or color, right?
Other than that paragraph, 8/10, could use a few more tweaks but very good.

Yes, right! I wasn't aiming for super-vivid color yet. I'm still figuring things out

Okay, that's what I thought, lol. I have favored the colors that gently blend into one another like your sprites. The Mew one is my favorite in that instance. One color just blends into another. Another thing on the RB sprites is that they do what I just said. No parts on them jump out saying, "LOOKIT ME, IM A DIFFERENT COLOR THEN THE REST OF THE POKE! HAAH!" May thee continue, gain more experience, then go on and make more prettiful sprites!

Yeah, it looks slightly more real now. I still think that sprite in particular (not yours, the sprite itself) makes it look like it has a cold... You do great for these being your first ones. lol, I was working on revamping a Ninetales, Arcanine and some other Fire-type that I cant remember right now. Ironic
