"return everyone." Dave jumps out the window and landed out side. "go dragonite" Dave hopes on dragonite. "we will strike another time. lets go to mossdeep." You will pay. "were is everyone. go charizard. Now both of you take these." Dave hands them wireless comunicators. "find Levin and/or Eirika" Dragonite and charizard fly around looking for them as well as Dave.

Eirika would've loved to wait for Levin to reply, but her injuries wouldn't let her. She passed out, and the last thing she saw before that was Cail landing with someone in white on his back.

Ghost ran out of the building, clutching a stitch in his side. It had been a difficult run, seeing as it had been long with a lot of stairs and a lot of people to... silence, but he had finally made it outside. He took one look at the building, then looked away. Something nagged at his mind, so he looked back. Then he saw it. One corner of the main building was sagging visibly, and was continuing to sag. Ghost recognised it impassively as the holding cell corner. I suppose it was the lesser of two evils... crushed to death instead of starvation.

Ghost shook his head and turned around. There was a car in the driveway, and his Midnight ID would suffice as a key, so he took it. A few minutes later he was out on the open road, with nowhere to go. Now what? I nearly killed a Psyche Admin, in fact she's probably dead now, and I've betrayed Midnight. Where is there for me to go?

With Eirika unable to maintain the psychic ball, its effect vanished. Levin saw the girl pass out but was too injured himself to do anything about it, and the pain was getting worse again.

He turned to the man in white ((This doesn't sound good at all ))

"Please help her. She's badly injured..."

((Mph... )

- Damn! A Shadow pokemon? I didn't know Damean had one of these... "bad results" as they called them. Anyway he's gone now and so is the traitor. Maybe I could go and chase her, but I think it would be useless. And if she had that thing with her, maybe other psyches do?... I'll go to Mossdeep. Now Midnight and Psyche are no longer friendly rivals (I guess), it wouldn't harm if I go and sneak into their base. But I need to rest for a while first.

Erick returns his Weezing and pushes the button on the Crobat-bracelet. Then he leaves what's left of the room and heads to the lab, flying.

Icthor broke through the wall of rubble, and Sven followed. The room was... "Empty? So much for a rescue attempt." Sven said, as he noticed the fresh holes in the celing. "Well, come on, Icthor, give me a ride out of here, before the rest of the building comes down." Sven climbed on the huge pokemon's back, and the steelix slithered out of the hole in the ceiling. He saw Serra outside, and directed his pokemon to let him off over by her. "Well, I guess you people really don't need to be rescued, now do you. Where's Damean, and shouldn't you be resting?" He said, as he returned his steelix.

((It's not as bad as you think.))

"That's what we plan to do. First, let's get you both out of here..."



Where...am I...? Eirika opened her eyes a bit. "...huh?" This looks like a hospital...but...how's that possible? The last place I remember is a forest...Where's Levin..?

"Looks like she's waking up...Who are you? What happened?" A nurse appeared seemingly out of nowhere (Well, Eirika's just waking up, so..)

Eirika moaned. The pain was dull, but it still hurt decently bad... "Eirika Ruhigen...and what happened...a Houndoom, that's what..."

"Ah, so that's where the bites came from. You'll have to stay here for a while until they heal. The person who came with you...serious burns on his back--"

"My Pokemon...the Gardevoir and Blaziken. Are they alright..?" Eirika asked, very concerned...

"They're in the Pokecenter next door to here. The Blaziken seems to be holding out fine, but the Gardevoir...she was hurt really bad. She's definitely going to have a scar or two...but they're alive. The others are fine."

"That's good to hear..."

"We'll be back later to check up on how you're doing. If you need help, there's a button next to your bed, just push it and we'll be right up." The nurse left.

<Levin...? Can you hear me? Are you alright?>

((Ah yes, she just came out from anesthesia, so she'll be a bit...off for a while))

((Hum... define "off" please... ))

Levin had been awake for a while now, and had dismissed all medical personell from his room. The pain in his arm was nothing compared to his back; a pleasant perspective from a specific point of view.
He was lost in thought.

Those men had Dark Type pokemon... not good. If Psyche finds out their leader is in hospital because of such pokemon, they'll blame it on Midnight... And that wouldn't be a pretty war to witness, even being neutral... Speaking of Psyche' Leader, I wonder how she's doing.

<Levin...? Can you hear me? Are you alright?>

"Hm?" Levin smiled; she almost caught him by surprise, but he was getting used to it. "Eirika. I'll speak loud if you don't mind, I'm not used to this telepathy stuff..." Besides, I'm already in hospital, so talking to myself won't seem so bad...

"I'm fine. The good news is I can't feel anything in my arm, courtesy of my burned back, the bad news is I'm starving. How are you feeling? Did your pokemon make it?"

Speaking of which, I wonder where Nosaramen and Bulbasaur are... oh, there they are, they fell asleep. Nice of the medical crew to let them stay here with me.

<I can hear you through the wall. I'd talk...but telepathy's easier than shouting right now...My arm hurts courtesy to an IV, what for I don't know.

My Pokemon are fine..apart from my Gardevoir. They say she was hurt really bad, and that she's going to have a few scars when she recovers, though. I'm just glad they're alright.

Bah, I want to get out of here...it's been ages since I was in a hospital...> She rested her head on her pillow. I hope the others in Mossdeep are alright...

"Well... I'm about ready to go, but I'd like you to recover completely before we go. There's not much one can do about a burn, so I don't plan on staying here all day. Give me a heads up when you wanna leave and I'll meet you in your room so we can go. Provided I can get past the nurses and all."

Then something crossed Levin's mind.

"Hum... Eirika? Do we have to pay? I don't have any money on me... Oh, never mind. But do tell me when you feel ready to leave."

Levin tried to get up, and did so after a while. His scarf was pretty much ruined, but he still put it on. But he did have to find new clothes fast, as his coat and t-shirt had been nearly destroyed. He returned his two sleeping pokemon, and started walking around in the room, in an attempt to get used to the pain.

Eirika sat up in her bed and managed to get the IV out of her arm (Major ouch). She managed to stand up and go get her things out of a storage drawer, then leaned on her bed. She couldn't help it--she hurt, but didn't want to stayin a hospital.

<I...think I'm ready to leave...argh, stupid headache.>

"Don't strain yourself."

It felt good being able to be cold and rational again; when he had a purpose, Levin became quite different.

He opened the door of the room silently, sticking his head out for incoming nurses ((my sentences keep getting better by the minute! ^_^''))
The hallway was clear, so he headed for the room next to his; the door was unlocked, so he came in.

"Hi there. Hope you missed me." he said teasingly, with a faint smile on his face.

"You're not fooling anyone Eirika; at least not me. You're in no condition of going nowhere, mind you."

He approached her and made her sit on the bed, and sat next to her.

"What were you thinking back there, passing out on me like that? You scared the hell out of me, girl..."

((Bakuryu. His scarf is burnt/torn at the ends.))

"...I couldn't help it. I forgot that I could only do so much...I'm so sorry I scared you..." She put a hand to her forehead.

I don't know what I should do...stay here and possibly have something go wrong back in Mossdeep, or go to Mossdeep and probably hurt myself worse...

((Oh so poor old Levin is a mutant mole now? Geez, Eirika sure has bad taste... ))

Levin didn't have to be a mind reader to answer her.

"I'm sure they're fine in Mossdeep. I fear I can't say the same about Midnight though... I have this funny feeling... Never mind. Listen. Psyche could stand up to Midnight any day, I'm sure they can manage without you for some time. Now, what horrible things would your friends do to me if I let you go now and you ended up getting worse? And how would I live with myself? I care for you...
I hate this place as much as you do, but I'm not willing to have you pass out in front of me again."

Levin noticed her putting her hand on her forehead.

"What's wrong? Does it hurt? Perhaps I should leave, let you get some sleep."

(( Bakuryu's a zoanthrope, or a thing that can turn from human to semi-animal. I'll find a decent human pic of him later))

"I'm fine...just this dang headache...I think that's what I need, sleep..."

((Oooh. Zoanthrope. Riiight. Don't worry then, I'll let you know next time he starts growing brown fur and claws.))

"You do that."

Levin held her hand for a brief moment, then walked for the door.

"I'll be around, call me when you want to leave. But make sure you get some rest. I don't wanna have to carry you around, like I have been doing all the while since I met you." he said with a grin.

Eirika managed a slight grin. "I'll let you know then..." She laid down and tried to sleep as best she could. Sleep's going to be hard...too many things to think about...

Levin sneaked out of the room and covered his face partially with his burnt scarf to avoid being recognized and sent back to his room.

Hmph.. I hate this. I feel like a little kid playing stealth games...

He came across a Pokecenter.

I wonder if...

"Nurse Joy, I would like to see a Gardevoir and Blaziken who checked in earlier at the same time please."

Nurse Joy took him to where the pokemon were recovering. Indeed, D.J. seemed fine, while Lairi...

"Don't worry guys. You'll be alright."

He stayed there for a while with the pokemon, talking to them, trying to make them feel better and waiting for Eirika to wake up.

<I didn't see them coming...it's all my fault...> Lairi kept saying telepathically. Seems the shock of almost being killed brought that on...

((Ffwhee, weekend. *goes to look for game to play until ten*))

"everyone return" Dave said into the speaker. Dragonite and charizard returned in their pokeballs. Then Dave went to the hospital to check on his leg. As he is walking down to his room, he sees Eirika through a window of a door. "hey I got to tell you something." Dave says as he bangs on the door.
