I live in Britian 2, what's wierd about the bird flu thing is...I'm not a tiny mollocule afraid of it, in my opinion, it's a load of non-sense.
It is hardly nonsense, when many people have died due to this avian influenza virus. At the moment, the disease is still most wide spread in Asia, but it has spread to numerous countries in Europe as well.
From what I've read, only 91 people have died, mostly in poorer countires with less developed healthcare. It might be worrying, but I don't think that there's going to be a huge Black Death-style plague. It's like Foot and Mouth disease was in Britain recently. Lots of hype, yet no piles of bodies in the streets, no end of civilization. Anyway, they've found vaccines for bird flu.
On topic, I'm not sure about loonies, but my class are brain-dead stupid. We've had class punishments from every teacher in our school, and we're far behind in a lot of our lessons compared to the other classes. Oh yeah, and there's this kid in another class who:
1. Smells REALLY bad
2. Has weird yellow stuff up his ears and some really nasty snot in his nose
3. Is so phenommally stupid that he can't even spell the word 'stupid'
4. Likes kicking people's PE bags
And he still has friends!

I'm going to tell every single person who posted with a problem to get over it. None of the things anyone has posted are actual problems; they are idiosyncracies. It's not their/your fault, it's just how it is.
A serious problem is a death in the family, a car crash, or a war. Someone picking their nose is not a serious problem. Being a tomboy is not a serious problem.

It is not normal wax, I swear. It's tinged with brown and other stuff. Besides, there's a LOT of it!
Really though, I understand fully the point that you're making, but if they made a thread for 'seriously serious issues' then no-one would post there, 'cause that sort of stuff is depressing and (I'm guessing here, based on pure speculation, complete speculation) most people go to the forums to be entertained/chat about Pokemon, don't they? I'm sure that no-one seriously considers a kid picking his nose to be on the same level as the Iraq war. I honestly see your point, it's just that I think that you're over-reacting slightly. Look, I'm really sorry if this has angered you. I mean no offence, I'm presenting the other side to an argument that I agree with.

My friend, all that has happend is that he hasn't cleaned his ears out in a while.
It hasn't angered me per se, and there's no real reason to apologize for it. I just find it stupid that people have decided to post miniscule problems that aren't even worth posting. I'm pretty sure you didn't plan on it, it usually happens after the bandwagon started.
Look, if you are honestly worried about the stuff in a thread about issues and problems being depressing, then that's not really logical. I expected to come into this thread full of deep mind set issues that I could mull over and think critically about. And then I see this crap about people being worried that a kid picks his noes at school. Or someone has a habit that seems to offend you.
Guys, this is honestly comparable to the girls at school who would gossip over who goes out with who or who broke a fingernail.

Leave it up to someone who didn't start the thread to determine what it's focus should be.
When making breaded fried foods, usually an egg base of eggs and milk is followed from flour to coat the chosen product in order to cover it with a breading of some sort. However, excess egg base runs off the food and mixes with the breading and causes it to clump. Thereafter, it will no longer adhere to the food or create an inferior product. How can I keep the egg out of the breading without using a strainer or waiting to the base to drip off? This is a serious problem; please use your critical thinking skills to help! It creates a lot of food &/ time waste, and my objective is to keep waste in the kitchen down to get my quarterly bonus.

So, by that logic, I could name a topic "Food," and then procede to talk about clothes? The topic creator gets to decide what the topic is even if it is not related to the topic title? Leave it to you to make a nonsensical post.
Rephrase that so it makes sense. The egg base of eggs and milk goes after flour to coat the product? Why does the egg base run off the food? Can't you just not use eggs if it's going to make it clump? Is this a serious problem? No.

I have a problem with eating. I do eat too much if there's food around me--a problem for someone who usually gains weight during this time of the year. That's my only real problem, besides possibly being single.

I think my friend Eileen's like that too. You say one wrong thing in front of her and she'll hit you with a notebook, or just punch/kick you. At school, with teachers around. (Meh, the teachers don't care.) This happens to me a lot, as I can't keep my mouth shut ^_^''

to that! Anyway, there's also a kid in the year above me, who, I'm not sure if it's OCD, but he stands alone in the playground talking to himself. He also enjoys looking at Thomas the Tank Engine (an infuriatingly rubbish infants' show). This boy is about 14-15. *cough* nutjob *cough*. Sorry to all who find that offensive, but that kid is wacked-out!!!

The kid I was on about in my first post is convinced he is a Jedi and follows the Jedi laws and religion. He practises Lightsaber duels with his "Friends" and sits in the middle of the field meditating. He says when he dies, he will become one with the force.

There's one kid in my House Group.... A Year Seven and he's always claiming he's built amazing things. Sentient Robots, Time Machines... etc. He's also a complete and utter fanboy. He refuses to use anything that doesn't use a Windows operating system, I was talking to him and I said that I like the Gamecube and he went mental! Raving that Gamecube sucked, then he went on about Microsoft and how great it was... Here's the conversation...
Me: So which console do you prefer? I prefer the Gamecube myself...
Year 7: The Gamecube sucks.
Me: Have you ever played one?
Year 7: No! They suck so bad why would I even touch one?!
Me: I dunno, to form an educated opinion before spouting hate and stupidity?
Year 7: Whoa, don't start crying because you're too gay to see that Microsoft completely owns beloved Nintendo! n00b!
Pretty messed up isn't he? I'm afraid to close my eyes around him...

I was looking around the forums when I came across this thread, and couldn't help myself...I HAD to post here. OMG, I have so much stuff I could put down (I.E.: MY ENTIRE FRIGGIN' FAMILY!!!!! I call them dysfuncion junction, but that's a different story....) Okay, here we go:
1. I personally don't think I have any major issues save for the fact that I bottle up my emotions so often that I sometimes seem detatched from everyone and everything (My mom: "Miasma, aren't you upset that your girlfriend dumped you?" Me: "Meh. Everything happens for a reason, mom. Besides, what's done is done." That conversation actually happened a few months ago....). My mom worries about it alot. She thinks my Grandfather (who I was VERY close to ) dieing when I was little like scarred me or something (I've cried about his death once in ten years..) but I chalk it up to a coping mechanism. We all deal with grief in our own way, and this is mine.
2. As for people I know....There's a dude named Todd that works with me and goes to my school. The list of feats he's said he's performed includes: Getting a phone call from president Bush, flying a fighter jet, bombing Iraq in said jet, being part dragon, having mastered the ancient art of ninjitsu, being a swordsman, not being able to leave a public place without at least ten different girl's phone numbers (ughh...what a chauvinistic pig...), getting married, speaking fluent Dragon-ese (what ever the heck that is...) and being able to see in the dark . (Actually, the list goes on, but I don't think Psypokes has enough forum memory to hold it all....) I won't judge the kid, except for the chauvinistic pig thing, that I do stand by... (I'm sort of a feminist...long story...), but I thought I'd share what I've been told.
There's my two cents...
