Eh... I'm feeling bored right now. My shop is about as busy as a Medieval Weapons supplier, and I just love to muck about with stuff, so I'm posting my example spritework and sigs here. Please note: these are all available for sale at my shop. Click on the link in my sig, and place in a request for the Artwork (give the piece's title, and pay in the normal fashion). So, here goes:
First set of sigs. Team Sigs to be prescise.
Team Hydro Sig
Team Inferno Sig
Team Solar Sig
Team Midnight Sig
Team Psyche Sig
So criticisce, evaluate and whine if you want! I'll post more as soon as I find out how much stuff you're allowed to post in one reply.

They're all pretty good. Little too big for a sig to use. Perhaps shorten the height.
Do you use Paint?
I recommend http://www.cooltext.com for downaloding free fonts. The ones you use now are a little basic. You can also do dogy effects with Cooltext.
I use Paint. I recommend putting a picture either side of the text.
Other than that, I think they're ace. Awesome backgrounds.

Thanks! I used GIMP for the editing, and I made them 500x150 like the rules say. The backrounds were found via Google. Oh, and I'll use the Cooltetext site for my next sigs. See y'all after *shudders* homework.
Evil homework done now! Anyway, Kryten, how do I download and use the fonts?
Oh, and some spritey goodness that I unearthed from my files. These are not seen anywhere else!
My old avvie, until I got my spazzie Quagsire (Thanks again, Flarey! Sorry about covernet's "borrowing"!)
Misc. Ditto recolour
My Green Deoxys series. One of my first, more succesful attempts at recolours.
May I point out again that all these recolours can be bought for 5 Psybucks at my shop?

There not bad but, I dont mean to be hard on you, but it could, as a signature use some more work.
you use gimp as a program wich is cuite capable of making decent sigs.
for team psyche; I dont know if you made the bg yourself or imported it but Its a bit low quality, as well as the font wich is a bit to simple and to big wich goes for the other sigs as well.
What I also want to mention is you really need strokes to let the signature go peacefully into the website, wich in most cases makes a difference.
you did cut-out the pok

Thanks. I know that Psyche's sig sucked abit, but that Girifarig was the only one I could find. For my next sigs, I'll take into account what you've said.

Thank you to Kryten and JDesigns for the websites, I have used them for my masterpieces! Here's my latest attempts at image mucking:
It's a scene from my RP URGENT BULLETIN! Strange Creatures Spotted Over Westminster!, where the legendary birds fly over Big Ben. You'll notice the Rayquaza in the backround, as he will be included in the storyline if Magus decides ever to post there again...
A new sig. Of course, it is available in my shop.
I won't be able to do much more for here until Sunday, because I'm going to my (sadly, not online) Grandmother's house. Oh well, a bit of fresh Manchester air'll be good!

The last one is a great improvement, though the choice of text size is bad, It covers the torchic sprite and is to big, but the Concept is great though, maybe like in your current signature, split them up and add borders and leave the text ( because without the text people will probaly still see the concept/Idea ).

Nice use of backgrounds; I like the background on the Team Solar sig a lot. Your sig with the Legendary Birds and Rayquaza looks interesting too. However, perhaps beeter fonts and the addition of some borders for your sigs would be better, as some of the other members might have suggested. Keep it up.
