It gives you a nice double-slash attack as a side-smash that I like using for some reason. Home-run Bat is second if only because throwing it is fun. People generally expect melee weapons to be used at close range, so throwing something like a Home-run Bat or a Star Rod at someone kinda catches them off guard.
