FRLG. Some of the sprites in RSE look.... well... strange. Like. Nidoran F and Caterpie. But I like the GSC sprites too, I'd like them more if they weren't so off-color.

I though the trainer sprites in FRLG were cool but pokemon sprites were awsome in RSE

I like the G/S/C sprites the best. I admit, they aren't as colourful as they could be. But on the Game Boy Color, they're good with all the other sprites too. They have good poses and even the trainers look awesome. If they were to remake GSC, it'd be awesome.

You can see how good Game Freak have got at sprites over the years.

R/B/Y were pretty dodgy and looked either too cute/evil looking, or just plain retarded.

G/S/C pwns all others. Seriously.

I love looking at them. The best poses in the whole thing. Im now looking forward to see if D/P can actually beat G/S/C at all.

G/S/C are the best by far, but Yellow isn't without it's charm.

BINGO! I feel the exact same way about everything you just said, with the addition to the RBY sprites to your comment about the GSC sprites.

I personally think that the G/S/C Sprites are much nicer, ever without the color that the FRLG or R/S/E Sprites have. They seemed to have more...I don't know...poses then the others. The new ones are mostly looking off downward and to the left. The G/S/C ones seem to look more menacing at times and not other times. I don't know. The R/B/Y ones are the worst; G/S/C is easier to revamp too. R/B/Y is hard to revamp...

It's between FR/LG and G/S/C. For G/S/C I agree that they have the best poses and detailing. However, the new sprites have much better graphics and colour. FR/LG get my vote, but I still like the G/S/C sprites, and probably always will.

Hmm... tough one.

The ones from the Advanced gen. do look really good. They're so colourful and detailed! I don't like Emerald's animated sprites much at all, sorry to say. They simply don't appeal to me at all.


Actually, I'm still very fond of the sprites from Yellow. I really liked how cute and smooshy they are. Even though all the Pokemon are only one colour, they're still recognisable and really adorable. They look like Plush toys!

HoweverI'm undeniably biased towards the metal generation and I do think those sprites look amazing. I was very taken with them after playing the colour generation games. I really love how 'alive' the Pokemon look, their poses are great. I also think this generation has some of the cutest sprites too!

I do think that the ones from Red, Blue and Green look pretty terrible. Game Freak has really gotten better! Yellow has the best out of the first generation!
