Beat the elite 4. In RuSa, the national dex is loaded as soon as you get a pokemon outside of the hoenn dex. With Emerald, Birch formally gives you the dex.

I have no clue. I'm pretty sure though that you can't rebattle him, though.

Then let it come back, and rename it once you get to the Name Rater's house in Slateport.

Nobody's answered Feebasmaster's last question about Steven yet; I'd like to know the answer too.

I've never tried, but I believe you can re-battle Steven. Can't confirm that though.

As for the question about your Zigzagoon, some Pokemon will keep coming back to you when you release them if their Happiness level is too high.

His Pokemon's levels were pretty high, so I doubt it. Still, I could be wrong.
And although your question has been answered, I just have to say...
Your Zigzagoon loves you! :D

After EV training, if you use Rare Candies to level up your Pokemon, will he be weaker than he would've without using the Rare Candies?

Nope, it'll end up with the same stats eventually, even if you use the Rare Candies before EV training. Just finish all your EV Training as early as possible though, as a guideline.

Actually, sN0w, wasn't it you who said in the EV thread that you could just use the box trick to fix it?
FYI: Not cloning, but inserting to the box, the game pulls off calculations, and the stats are fixed.

I have a question about Emerald too! Do you team up with Steven at some time? I have the Nintendo Power Official Strategy guide and I saw a picture in it where it had a picture of your team, and it said Steven's three Pokemon and Your three Pokemon.

What I meant when I advised him to complete EV training as possible is to avoid any complications. The Box Trick is a little tedious to continually perform, and besides completing EV training early will prevent you from accidentally gaining any EVs that you do not want, and therefore force you to use Emerald's special Berries to undo them.

Yes, you do team up with him, but only once. This takes place in Mossdeep's Space Center.

I am thinking of catching an Abra with an Ultraball...
Does Impish nature sounds good or bad?
In the battle Palace, it seems that with impish nature, my kadabra will be able to recover when its hp is less than 1/2, use Psychic when its hp is more than 1/2.

I would go with a Bold nature, because it lowers his Attack (which you won't need) and raises his Defense. The Impish nature would be alright except it lowers his really good Special Attack, when you could be lowering his useless attack. Unless you plan on using Shadow Ball.

Sorry, I think its newly implemented (I did see it though in a crystal guide). You give the pokemon certain evs and such, and to figure out there stats w/o waiting for a level up, you just put the pokemon into the pc (any box), step away from it, return, and withdraw. Useful for finding IVs (Hoenn generation dvs that run on 32 numbers vs. 16) and and end stats.

Nacho: Modest or timid is always best for a special sweeper like alakazam. a great ball should be fine. For the palace, brave also works, but that ups attack.
Brave : +Atk, -Spd
Impish: +Def, -SAtk

So Bold nature.....
I have experienced once in a battle tent where my Kadabra dies too early because f nature problem...
Is there a nature that lower attack, raises defence but also make my Kadabra more durable, uses recover when hp is less than 1/2 and uses Psychic with more than 1/2 hp in the Battle Palace?

(I hope such thing exist :O)

Brave, Calm, and impish are the only ones that do what you want.

Brave : +Atk, -Spd
Calm : +SDef, -Atk
Impish : +Def, -SAtk

Note - calm is risky. Self or damage, then self.

I've been having a bit of trouble building an ingame team that i want. To get it i have needed to breed for egg moves, but i dont see how i can get 2 egg moves onto the same baby. for example:

I want Barrier & Rockslide on my Lileep. That means i need a level 38 male Tentacruel with barrier to mate with my female Lileep.

I also need a male Omanyte with rock slide (after having it mate with a Totodile who has got jiggy with a Larvitar) to mate with my female Lileep.

This will produce 2 Lileep babies, one that knows Barrier & another that knows Rock Slide.

My question is, how do i get these 2 Lileep to have a baby with both moves. as only the male passes on moves i can't see a way of doing it?

Is the answer as simple as mothers are able to pass on egg moves?

This is really starting to frustrate me

Superpull, you can always use the Move Tutors but if your low on BP,
breeding the two Lileep babies together and see what happens.

For my Lileep example i could use the tutor to give it Rock Slide & breed in Barrier. But what if i wanted it to have Recover as well?

The Lileep was only an example really, i just want to know how to breed 2 egg moves onto the same baby. can it be doe?

Sometimes. Other times, no. Simply put, there are some combinations that cannot be on one Pokemon, like IIRC, Sceptile with Leech Seed and Crunch. Either will work, but not both.

thanks for the help

I had a sneaking suspision that you could only have one egg move (unless an egg parent can learn one and be bred one).

Ah well, it'll be a Giga Drain instead of Recover for my Lileep then!

 hang on, does that mean i wont be able to have an Ariados with Signal Beam AND Baton Pass. That could be the end of the workd for me!
