Aw, it's horrible when a dog dies. My uncle had a beautiful brown Labrador named Mousse. Oh, he was the sweetest dog ever! But then he got cancer or something like that, and they put him down. I hope that you feel better, and may the memory of your dog live on.

So sorry man. It's so upsetting when anything dies, except flies.
Rest in peace mudkiplover's dog. I have a chocolate labrador, she's lovely.
My neighbour's dog got run over on holiday the other week. She died in his arms. So sad...

I feel for you, mudkiplover.
When I was in kindergarden, I had a yellow lab named Lucky... the sweetest and happiest dog I ever knew. I loved him dearly... and then he got a nervous disorder that made him dig constantly. He got heartworms shortly after, and... he died while I was at school. I cried for the whole afternoon after I learned of his death...
Ah, and on the fact of your mom, sometimes talking about these things makes people feel better... As a wise person once said: "How can you spare people's feelings by denying them?"

I remember when my dog named Luke died.
He was a really fancy looking Black Chow (A chinese form of dog) The Chow have a horrible reputation (especially after an episode of Law and Order where a Black Chow killed several people for no good reason)
But they are actually realy sweet dogs, and they are protecive of their owner, no one could sneak into our house .
BUt at the age 13, he began to have dramatic weight loss (he lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks) and we discovered several tumors on his underbelly and legs.
We took him to the vet, they said he might have cancer. He did.
My dad was in the NAvy, and the weel he had to go to Paris, my dog got so sick he couldn't go up or down any steps, so we had to carry him places, but that wasn't a problem, cuz he only weigd around 40 pounds.
It was so sad when he died, I had to dig his grave, backbreaking work, I was only 11. It was the night of a lunar eclipse too, kinda kewl, but we had to put him down, I cried myself to sleepe that night.
I know how it feels to have your dog die, it really hurts, but just remember, they had a good life and that you can always look back and remember they times you enjoyed with them.

Aww, you guys are making me sad. I've never witnessed any of my animals die. They dissapeared, mostly when I was quite young, around 6, 7, and 8. I had a boxer named Bruno once before. He loved to dance, oddly. He was good at it too. He could slow-dance sorta. I was comming home from Sunday school to find out that Bruno had dissapeared. I was very sad. I was about 7. I had a black cat named Lorinza. She was my first pet. I cherised her so very much. Then, one winter, she dissapeared along with my 6 toes in front, 7 toes in back kitten. I was 6. In spring 2 years later, my friend's cousins found her body. She died of lack of food and water, and frostbite. I was 8. I tried my best not to cry... I also had two birds. I forgot their names. One flew out my window while I was playing the computer, I was 5. Another did the same thing, I was still 5. They didn't die though. They found a new owner I think. I had a bird named Kiki. She died about a year ago. I have had to take many cats and a few overactive puppys to the Humane Society.
But now, I have 2 cats, 2 kittens, and a puppy named Julliette who is my best pet I ever had. She is my child, and my best friend.
Now that you read my story, you could feel better, or feel worse. May your dog live on...

I don't know if you believe in heaven or not, but if you do you may find comfort in this:
It is said that as we all ascend from the physical plane toward what is known as heaven, we must travel toward a light at the end of a tunnel. It is also said that when we finally reach the end of the aforementioned tunnel, the beloved pet or pets that we were blessed to share our mortal existence with will be waiting there for us, and will once again be by our side as they were on earth. Goodbye is not forever, remember that.

Rest In Peace, doggie. I hate when animals die... unusually enough... I don't happen to mind about humans...

Poor doggy. I had a cat die. Isnt putting donw a dog because it has cancer just like killing a human because it has cancer? Weird.

Yeah, I guess you could put it that way. Some people think that it's kinda like helping them, since if they did live, they'd be in too much pain. But really, that does suck. I'd hate it if my dog died.
