I have been home schooled scince half way through the fifth grade. I would do almost anything to go to high school. I go to all the football games.
The good thing I only have to do four hours of school. I thought myself how
to read. I couldn't read "cat" before my mom pulled me out. Now I am a stright A student.

THAT is the sort of stuff that the Average Joe, e.g. me, does NOT need to know about to get on in life. So WHY DO THEY MAKE US LEARN IT???
And I don't give a monkey's if that's the secret meaning of life.

Private schools are no more easier than state schools, if not even harder. The work is more advanced, and there's an attitude of competition.
Trust me, go to a private school thinking that it'll be easy, and you'll be ripped apart. Either that, or you'll get expelled.
A lot of people appear to be home-schooled. It sounds quite good, actually. I've always wondered what it's like. It can't be much worse than actual school.

There are just as many chavs and jocks at private schools as there are at state schools.
I actually agree with your dad's choice, private schooling is MUCH better than state schooling, but I'd just like to warn you that it isn't an easy ride. In the long run, though, it gets easier in later life, as you know more stuff from private than from state. I'm not suggesting that state-schooled pupils can't do well or don't do as good, I'm just saying that private schooling is more intense and faster.
Wow, I've really gone off topic.
Anyway, to make this post legit, I'd like to agree with what others have said: If you feel that you don't like school, just think about the good points about it, and it'll feel easier to deal with. This is from personal experience, mind.

first paragraph: got that right! At my school, to get an A- you need a nintey three!
second paragraph: Well, I wouldn't say ripped apart, I was homeschooled until seventh grade (I wuv my mommy ) and I was a year ahead. I went to the 93%= A- school, and I still did pretty good, even though i had no idea what it was like. They aren't THAT bad, but still, don't think they're easy.
third paragraph: Homeschooling rocks! You actually meet a lot of people, and in a lot of places there are homeschooling groups, so you meet other homeschooling kids and their families. You learn a little differentaly. You don't learn from textbooks or worksheets, but from actual experience. It is really great. Also, you can eat whenever you like teehee.
I like school quite a bit. I have a lot of friends, then again I also have a lot of enemies........most of my teahers are okay, except for one embodment of evil math teacher.........
