There are no changes from RS I think, so you can find them in the usual locations. For instance, you can find shards in the numerous dive spots around Mossdeep and Lilycove in exchange for the stones, while a Sun Stone is available in the Mossdeep Space Center.

In emerald, you do not need the contest pass (because it doesn't exist).

Nope, just luck. Try diffferent places, you'll find different fish in different places.

I'm having a problem. I've been trailing a Latios for days. I'm trying to find a place to purchase Timer Balls. For some reason, the Rustboro City PokeMart does not sell them, and I used my Timer Ball I won previously. Why can't I find them anywhere? Maybe I'm just a moron, but I need help, and I really want to catch this Latios. I'm the only person who plays Pokemon in my town, so I don't have anyone I can trade with or combine information with.
