What do you mean by compound eyes? Is that an ability? And where could you find White herb?

Compoundeyes is an ability. The pokemon that have it are Butterfree, Nincada, Venonat, and Yanma.

You can find a White Herb on Route 104, which is the Route west of Petalburg and south of Rustboro.

Just to further question the White herb, can it be used many times if i used it through a link battle or is it really just a 1 time use item?

It can only be used once in regular gameplay. In the BF and stuff like that though, it resets after eeach battle

In Emerald, you need to stock up on Battle Points. Once yoou have enough, go to the kiosk and buy a Choice Band. I dont know what the number of BP you need is, and I'm too lazy to check right now, so find out on your own =p

Is there anyway that after linking with someone, you can find them in your game and battle them? Also, what is this 'mixing records' i have heard about?
Actually, if anyone could just give me a quick run down of all the stuff you can do with linking (besides the really obvious, eg, trading pokemon) it would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Not you personally, no.
But, after mixing records with a person, their secret base is transferred to your game. You can only battle with them in there, thats it.

Sorry I should have made it clear THERE ARE 8 secret bases in my game.

Ehhehe, um I put my Emerald in the wash a few times(BY AXIDENT!!), and now it says "The internal battery has run dry blah bah blah". I know that FR/LG has a certian patch to fix the problem on R/S, but i don't know if it'll work for Emerald...

The syaing that you have to say to her depends on your ID, I found a website that tells you what to say, but also on that website you can customise what your reward is depending on what you say. Because the reward is a new PC background. Say if i had to say to her HDHDHDHDHDHDHD1 then i might get a Red Background but if i said HDHDHDHDHDHDHD2 I might get a blue background, but this website tells you what to type to get different PC backgrounds. I dont remember what its called though i found it on Google.
