My first Sigs

I kind of like the color that Deidara is in, even though its hard to read. Everything else I tried looked too harsh against the kind of soft background and image. Anyways, I made another one: I have a feeling it will have the same problem with the font. _________________

You obviously know how to do basic stuff, like putting images in there, so I suggest your next step is blending the image with the background. There are tons of ways to do so, and it looks a whole lot better when you do it. Just ask me or someone that's expericed or go to the GIMP basics guide and find some tutorials. Your bound to be better. The first one is the coolest, the tect is cool even though you can't read it at once. Good job.

SpagettiMonster Pokemon Ranger Joined: Sun Oct 08, 2006 12:25 pm Posts: 504	Yes it does, but that's probably the simplest way of doing so, and it often makes it look too ghost-like and it's generally not the best way of blending. An easy alternative would be to do the following: 1. Select your render layer in layers dialog 2. Take out the free select tool, set feathering to around 10 -20 (or more, depends) 3. Select around the edges of your render 4. Ctrl + I (for Ice cream) and hit ctrl + K until it looks good. One time should be enough. That's it. Easy, huh? I have a weird feeling I posted this somewhere else recently.. Oh well.

If you want help just pm me and I'll send you instructions. When taking the black or white out of a picture, click on the white/black and drag it outwards to make the marching ants go in some more. It was just kind of a way of testing out SpagettiMonster's blending method. And normally I just use the "paths" tool for doing renders, but I'll try your way out. Anyways, just some of the effects of random boredom: ^Sig for another forums I'm at, I only had sprites available for the images though. ^I didn't do the correct blending method with this one either, but I love that picture of Mudkip ^Me testing out the new blending method ^Another Sig I just finished _________________
