Enigmers wrote: I'm working on a somewhat dog-based team, so here it is (What I have of it planned so far)
Arcanine @ Lefties | Intimidate
Adamant, 252 ATK 252 SPD 6 HP
ExtremeSpeed
Aerial Ace
Thunder Fang
Fire Fang
Physical Sweeper. Everything you see here is already made, and he is currently a pretty effective level 52 Arcanine, however the rest are all just plans.
If you are using it as a starter, consider howl to boost its attacks. put that over aerial ace if you want; choice band/expert belt isn't a bad idea at all.
Houndoom @ Lefties | Early Bird (I doubt anyone I battle will use Fire-type attacks on him, meaning Flash Fire wouldn't activate often enough to be of use)
Timid, 252 SPD X Sp.Atk X Hp (See note below)
Flamethrower
Fire Spin
Toxic
Dark Pulse
Special Sweeper and Toxi-trapper. I know that he'd get 252 speed EVs, but I'm not sure if he'd value more defense or more attack. I'm leaning towards Special Attack.
fire spin and toxic... now I have seen that somewhere, but Houndoom a bit on the fragile side. Psychic types will usually switch out before you have a chance to trap it, so just hope that the switch in doesn't have close combat. earthquake and the like (which will be rare). The best possible way I would think of utilizing this is fire spinning on the switch and you switch out to another poke w/ toxic. But if you wish to keep this one (assuming that you know how to work it), focus on HP, since toxic will ware it down anyway.
Mightyena @ Lefties | Quick Feet
Crunch
Ice Fang
Fire Fang
Thunder Fang
Somewhat of a versatile physical sweeper. I'd think that what it loses in it's stats it makes up for in versatility compared to my Arcanine. It also looks awesome when it's Shiny, so I might, for the hell of it, try to chain for a shiny one.
You might want toxic orb as a held item to take advantage of quick feet. ditch fire fang (you already have enough fire coverage) for something like howl or me first. Me first is this dog's only shot at taking down fighting types, that might want to CC you to death, only to be dented by its own move first.
Manectric @ Lefties | Static
Adamant or Jolly | 252 SPD 252 SPATK 4 HP
Thunder/Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Hidden Power (If it turns out to be a good type)
Spark?
Special Sweeper. I honestly don't know what to do with the moves. Since Spark doubles the power of electric moves I figure I'd start with Spark, then go Thunder or Thunderbolt.
charge doubles electric moves, not spark. T-bolt/Overheat/Flamethrower/Good Hidden Power, @choice specs. If you don't find yourself having a good HP, go with thunderwave for support. modest/timid nature, not adamant/jolly.
All in all, this is an originally-themed team (dog-based), but it has a lot of hole. Anything with Close Combat/Earthquake (read: Heracross) will rip this team apart. Consider the eevee family (they're four-legged creatures), especially umbreon/vaporeon. Vaporeon will also fix up this team's water weakness, while umbreon is a good tank and provides excellent support (can mean look-toxic-baton pass, better than that houndoom).
Darkloid_Blues wrote: I am...really not one for EVs. I don't keep track of them. Also, this is mostly in-game until I get a solid Wifi connection.
Glaceon@Icy Rock
[Snow Cloak; Quiet]
Hail
Blizzard
Water Pulse
??? (Ice Beam, though I don't want two same-type moves, or maybe Double Team to capitalize on Snow Cloak?)
I normally dislike Hail, but Snow Cloak sort of makes it stupid not to use it.
If in-game, sure: go with double team. toxic w/ double team can be hell, but good luck against in-game with that (full restores and stuff ruins that idea).
Umbreon@Leftovers
[Synchronize; Careful]
Wish
Double Team
Baton Pass
Faint Attack
I don't want it to get stuck with no offensive means. I also don't like the dual weakness to Fighting it and Glaceon give, but I really want this Umbreon. I've not bred the Eevee for it yet, I'm working on the chain to breed Wish onto it.
again, if it's in-game, go ahead. also try to get yawn when breeding, since faint attack won't do an appreciable amount of damage anyway.
Togekiss@???
[Hustle; Relaxed]
Yawn/Sweet Kiss/Wish
Double-Edge
Air Slash
Baton Pass
Yes, I love Baton Pass, why?
air slash is a must, so that's good. Other than yawn and wish, you're having Togekiss carry a dry baton pass? Aerial ace is a good move to salvage the fact that you have hustle; 20% increase in power but still always accurate is OK.
Lanturn@Wise Glasses
[Illuminate/Volt Absorb; Modest]
Rain Dance
Thunder
Confuse Ray
Surf
I prefer the Lanturn with Volt Absorb, but I'll have to do more breeding, since the only Modest Chinchou I have has Illuminate. [It also has Amnesia and Rest, not sure if either of those work well on a Lanturn.] Spec. Sweep, naturally.
well, you don't have to go for natures for in-game battling. Moveset is OK for in-game.
Last two I'm blank on. I have a few ideas, but.
Any two of these:
Mismagius@???
[Levitate; Quiet]
Shadow Ball
Mean Look
Psychic/Pain Split
Spite/Grudge
Designed to cripple an attacker. Could put something else over Spite/Grudge, dunno what. Wish Mis learned Will-O-Wisp like Shuppet.
I used shadow ball/magical leaf/thunderbolt/mean look when I played my pearl version, but I can see this working as well. Spite is awesome no matter what, and with pain split, it can PP stall pretty well. mean look seems meh (unless you want to do some breeding). @leftovers and something.
Drapion@???
[Battle Armor; Adamant]
Ice Fang
X-Scissor
Poison Fang
Crunch
Physical Sweeper. Maybe get something to BP Swords Dance to it.
you can go with the other eevee evolution, Leafeon, to BP swords dance. @life orb if you can get it.
Jumpluff@Meadow Plate/Miracle Seed/Grass Incense
[Chlorophyll; Calm]
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Sleep Powder
Aromatherapy/Synthesis
Sunnybeamer. Fairly standard I believe. Most people don't use 'pluff though, don't think.
not alot of people use it, but this is its most practical use. Go with synthesis to heal a bunch in sunlight.
Dragonair@???/Lum Berry (if Outrage)
[Shed Skin; Bashful]
Dragon Rush/Outrage
Aqua Tail
Dragon Dance
Thunder Wave/Safeguard (for Outrage)
NOT Dragonite. Hate Dragonite, love Dragonair, and 'nair has decent enough stats to work. Unsure if Safeguard still protects from Outrage confusion. Dragon Rush/Thunder Wave allows for Paraflinch. Not sure which route to go; Dragon Dance is a must either way of course.
I think safeguard protects against primary statuses (burn, paralysis, sleep, etc.), but I'm not entirely sure. Aqua tail seems meh... You can flinch with waterfall. Dragon rush (I think) does have a higher flinch rate, but it misses more times than you would like it to. + DD and outrage is exclusive to the dragonite faimly, so use it, or else you're better off using Salamence or Garchomp.
I rather like the Dragonair and Mismagius better, because Jumpluff is my signature in GSC and while Drapion is good, I used it vs. the E4 and don't want to keep using it. But I'm not sure, really.
Drapion really rips apart the E4, but I digress. Mismaigus is a pretty good one to have, but that dragonair really needs to evolve X.x Jumpluff gets raped by the common ice beam and stealth rock, so I suggest you wouldn't go with that.

 (Special Sweeper):
Serious ( i got tired of breeding for natures, i know its not that good)
EV - SP. Attack and Speed
Dark Pulse
Psychic
Dragon Pulse
Aura Sphere
It is a solid special sweeper, I haven't had any problems with him.
 (Physical Sweeper):
Naughty (I made him along time ago before i knew about natures, and I grew to love him haha)
EV - Attack and Speed
Thunder Punch
Earthquake
Ice Punch
Brick Break
A great physical sweeper, he usually is the one that saves me in some tight spots.
 (Physical Sweeper):
EV - Attack and Speed
Stone Edge
Outrage
Fire Punch/Thunder Punch
Aqua Tail
Also pretty solid, and I know he should have earthquake but I dont have that many TM's you know?
 (Wall):
EV - HP and 1/2 defense 1/2 special defense
Shadow Sneak
Will-o-Wisp
Ice Punch
Pain Split
Just a standard set.
 (Wall):
Relaxed
EV - HP and 1/2 defense 1/2 special defense
Rest
Sleep Talk
Body Slam
Return
I actually havent made him yet but this is my plan
 (Tank):
Nautre - Brave
EV - Attack and 1/2 Defense and 1/2 special defense
Curse
Hammer Arm
Waterfall
Earthquake
Havent made him either but im planning on it happening this way.

 @ Black Sludge
Impish or Careful, whichever I breed first
EV: 204 HP, 56 Spd, 132 and 116 D/SD as dictated by nature
Sleep Powder
Leech Seed
Sludge Bomb
Synthesis
are the speed EVs there to outspeed a particular pokemon? dump them into its defensive stats. Also, sludge bomb is special, so go for bold/calm instead of impish/careful. On the topic of sludge bomb, grass knot/energy ball is a superior move that dents TTars and hippowdon.
 @ Leftovers
[TIMID] <-- hey, it's what I got
EV: 240 HP, 136 D, 92 SA, 40 SD
Calm Mind
Surf
Ice Beam
Roar
cool. timid is a little off I must say, but it might catch unsuspecting foes that think they will outspeed it I guess.
 @ Life Orb
[MODEST] <-- lucked out
EV: 60 HP, 40 D, 120 Spd, 252 SA, 36 SD
Rest
HP Grass/Ice
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
HP ice is the way to go, since you don't see Swampert that much now in D/P. random def/spDef EVs? go with near max speed EVs (at least 240EVs, depending on IV) to outspeed jolly choice-banded heracross (I have come across that) if you want to keep thunderwave. Instead of lowering the opponent's speed, zapdos usually has agility to outspeed anything, but that's usually used in tandem with baton pass, which I believe you can't get; so stick with the >240EVs in speed, and ditch rest for roost, since it gives 1-turn healing. Beware of predicted earthquakes though.
 @ ...
[HARDY] <-- it'll do
EV: 84 HP, 172 A, 96 D, 96 SD, 60 Spd
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Substitute
Focus Punch
Regigigas is total left field; I'm just looking for something to take out SkarmBliss and serve a little mixed-wall action. Maybe some troubleshooting with Ice Punch and sub/punching. I know it can be done better; plz help thx.
every heard of slow start? Without max attack, I seriously don't see this happening. fire punch will do [null] to skarmory, even if you get a miracle and stall the slow start turns. If you want a SkarmBliss and general wall counter, go with an Electivire or an Infernape (read: something better than this guy):
Electivire@expert belt/life orb
motor drive
adamant 252atk/252spd/6hp
thunderpunch
ice punch
cross chop/brick break
earthquake/meditate
for the last two moves, go with cross chop/earthquake OR meditate/brick break. Cross chop cracks Blissey's egg, while earthquake, with expert belt, will provide excellent type coverage and power.
Infernape@life orb
blaze
naive 24atk/252spAtk/232spd
nasty plot
grass knot
flamethrower
close combat
Standard mixed sweeper set for infernape, but this really puts a lot of walls and sponges out of their misery. grass knot ruins TTar, hippowdon and bulky waters. flamethrower cover steel types and close combat will break Blissey.
 @ Thick Club
Jolly or Adamant, whichever breeds first; Rock Head
EV: 4 HP, 252 A, 252 Spd
Swords Dance / HP Bug
EQ
Rock Slide
Double-Edge
jolly and max speed can outspeed a good number of bulky waters, so I like the idea. HP bug is a no; try to get fire punch, or just stich with swords dance.
I don't feel like the team has any real punch to it - Regi can back up Marowak for attack purposes, but Zapdos isn't exactly a broad-spectrum sweeper. I'm also concerned about Weavile. Any ideas as to who I can bring in to plug up the holes?
If you like sweeping and bulkiness in one, go with a steel type; the one I'm thinking of is metagross:
Metagross@choice band/leftovers
clear body
adamant 252spd/252atk/6hp
meteor mash
thunderpunch
earthquake
explosion/bullet punch
talk about many resistances and the power to mash things [no pun intended]. I would like to say that thunderpunch is required so that you can take on Gyarados, which I think you'll have trouble with as well. Metagross also seals up your fear of weaviles.
GigaTix wrote: hello i am trying to do battle frontier I hope you mean the one in D/P, which isn't called the Battle Frontier IIRC
so far my team is :
Milotic@Leftovers
252 hp/252def/4sp.A
Rash
moveset:
Ice beam
Hypnosis
Surf
Recover
sure; try calm/bold nature though. Simplified EV spread, but I'm not going to worry about it.
Swampert@Mystic Water
random
Naughty
moveset:
Ice beam
Surf
Rock slide
EQ
trying to go for mixPert? there's usually a supporting move instead of rock slide; go with roar, stealth rock, or stone edge if you still want a rock attack. naughty and random EVs wll set this pert back though. @leftovers?
need another pokemon
i was thinking venusaur/starmie
plz help me with the team
If you run into faster users of grass knot/energy ball, these two will go down fairly quickly. A steel type if good for the final spot, maybe a metagross or even a bronzong; these two will work better with bulkyGyara though, since it can absorb earthquakes for the metagross.

4ever, thanks for your insight. All your suggestions provide vast improvements, and I've actually just traded for a fair decent Chimchar to get started on the Infernape you posited. Now to start breeding Elekids...

I'm really open to off-the wall ideas too, so don't hold back - just as long as I can keep Kingler + Weezing

 lvl 74 @leftovers
air lock, hardy nature
moves:
overheat
extremespeed
outrage
fly
hardy? well, dragon dance instead of fly. outrage is only resisted by steel types, so overheat is OK. extremespeed is a good move too.
 lvl 100 @spooky plate
pressure, lonely nature
moves:
shadow force
shadow claw
earth power
aura sphere
giratina is a wall, so use it as such; will-o-wisp/dragon claw/rest/sleep talk or something of that nature. @leftovers
 lvl 100 @mystic water
torrent, mild nature
moves:
grass knot
hydro pump
surf
blizzard
mild? I'm pretty sure you're capable of getting a calm one. grass knot/surf/ice beam can be the basis of one of these things. The last move holds some support options: yawn, stealth rock, protect, etc. @leftovers.
 lvl 100 @leftovers
pressure, sassy nature
moves:
earthquake
stone edge
flamethrower
psychic
aura sphere/shadow ball/ice beam/calm mind takes on almost every uber in the game. taunt can go in somewhere, but I like to 'sweep first' with mewtwo.
 lvl 66 @leftovers
steadfast, serious nature
moves:
dark pulse
dragon pulse
extremespeed
psychic
another one I believe you can get another nature in; however, lucario is very versatile, and physical one is what I recommend:
Lucario@choice band
steadfast/inner focus
jolly/adamant 252atk/252spd/6hp
extremespeed
shadow claw
close combat
crunch/stone edge
 lvl 33 @exp. share
natural cure, quiet nature
moves:
fling
softboiled
sing
doubleslap
quiet? bold is better, but I guess you can live (maybe not) with quiet. softboiled/ice beam/seismic toss/thunderwave or sing is the norm, but assuming that you can't get seismic toss, light screen can provide some team support.
All in all, this team needs to be built back up from scratch; having an uber on your team makes the whole team uber, and this team will not stand a chance in a high-paced tier. And judging by the fact you gave the levels, this isn't on shoddy so... try again. =(
rate fast...

I like 192EVs to outspeed BulkyGyara, but being that you don't have thunder punch, it doesn't really matter.
Starmie - Leftovers
Modest | Natural Cure
252 Special Attack - 252 Speed - 4 HP
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Psychic/Surf/Rapid Spin
Recover
if you have recover, you must have rapid spin, or else starmie is better off as a full-fledged special sweeper with thunderbolt/ice beam/surf/grass knot.
Tangrowth - Leftovers
Impish - Leaf Guard
252 HP - 129 Attack - 129 Defense
Power Whip
Leech Seed
Knock Off
Stun Spore
all over the place here; substitute>knock off and you'll hav a subseeder, or sleep powder>stun spore to show off what this thing can do and what sceppy and celebi can't do.
Blissey - Leftovers
Bold | Natural Cure
252 Def, 252 Sp Def, 4 HP
Aromatherapy
Softboiled
Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss
use aromatherapy with care; in the fast-paced style of DP, sometimes using aromatherapy can lead to your downfall.
Togekiss - Leftovers
Timid | Serene Grace
252 Special Attack - 252 Speed - 4 HP
Nasty Plot
Air Slash
Thunder Wave
Roost
wow, nasty plot. Can't say how this works unless I see it, so I don't really have an opinion on this one; usually, aura sphere>nasty plot to add type coverage.
Gliscor - Leftovers
Impish | Hyper Cutter
252 Hp - 252 Att - 4 Def
Earthquake
Thunder Fang
Taunt
Roost
thunder fang hits gyarados I believe? Because in all other cases, EQ will outdamage t-fang against other water types. stone edge is a good option; since it has hyper cutter, swords dance is an option too.

It is a solid special sweeper, I haven't had any problems with him.
specsLuke! Vaccum Wave would've fit better somewhere as a good priority move. If not rebreeding for vacuum wave, Aura Sphere/dragon pulse/shadow ball/psychic?
 (Physical Sweeper):
Naughty (I made him along time ago before i knew about natures, and I grew to love him haha)
EV - Attack and Speed
Thunder Punch
Earthquake
Ice Punch
Brick Break
A great physical sweeper, he usually is the one that saves me in some tight spots.
@life orb/expert belt and you're set.
 (Physical Sweeper):
EV - Attack and Speed
Stone Edge
Outrage
Fire Punch/Thunder Punch
Aqua Tail
Also pretty solid, and I know he should have earthquake but I dont have that many TM's you know?
dragon dance/outrage/fire punch/EQ would be closest to the norm, but you don't have the said TM. Focusing away from that, what nature is it? jolly and 200EVs is fast enough w/ dragon dance, or if anything else (not +speed), max is good.
 (Wall):
EV - HP and 1/2 defense 1/2 special defense
Shadow Sneak
Will-o-Wisp
Ice Punch
Pain Split
Just a standard set.
agreed; @leftovers.
 (Wall):
Relaxed
EV - HP and 1/2 defense 1/2 special defense
Rest
Sleep Talk
Body Slam
Return
I actually havent made him yet but this is my plan
another wall? well, snorlax has taken a hit in the transition to D/P, with the advent of choice specs. have return or body slam, not both; you'll get walled by ghosts straight up. Crunch or EQ are alternates; I like it paired up with body slam to provide some status support.
 (Tank):
Nautre - Brave
EV - Attack and 1/2 Defense and 1/2 special defense
Curse
Hammer Arm
Waterfall
Earthquake
Havent made him either but im planning on it happening this way.
hammer arm... original. if want a tankish feel, go with impish, max defense, curse/waterfall/earthquake/avalanche. That's the physical-Swampert, but w/ relaxed nature, same EVs (more any invest atkEVs into spAtk), surf/earthquake/ice beam as you main attacking moves, you can kill stuff like Hippowdon and other physical sponges. the last move should focus on support, like rest+chesto/stealth rock/protect, etc.

if going for OU, go with a bold nature, rest-talker set: rest/sleep talk/surf/ice beam or toxic. In UU, its appropriate tier, Blastoise really works wonders as a Wobbufett wannabe: counter/mirror coat/surf is the beefy part of the set; the last move should be support: rest/rapid spin/haze, etc.
 @???
Truant|Adamant
~Focus Punch
~Earth Quake
~Rock Slide
~Slack Off
I hacked for this one. Used code called Goose. Make Slaking act as if it were Latios/Latias.
no matter what, giga impact should be in there. With monster attack, brick break and suffice; go with shadow claw over slack off. Nice job getting a good nature finally, and @choice band.
 @Focus Band
Synchronize|Modest
~Energy Ball
~Psychic
~Charge Beam
~Focus Blast
This may be hacked.
focus band? You can go the TrickSpecs route by replacing charge beam with trick and slapping on choice specs. Very useful against its usual counters like Bronzong, Celebi, Metagross, Jirachi, etc.
 *SHINE* @Wacan Berry
Intimidate|Quirky
~Ice Fang
~Aqua Tail
~Dragon Dance
~Earth Quake
Sorry couldn't get a better nature.
nature doesn't scream BulkyGyara, so I won't recommend it. go with waterfall>aqua tail; nobody seems to remember that waterfall has a flinch rate and can become vital to gyarados after a speed boost from DD. wacan berry is OK i guess, but always consider @leftovers.
 *SHINE* @Adamant Orb
Pressure|Rash Max EV's in SP.ATK
~Roar of Time
~Thunder Bolt
~Flash Cannon
~Earth Power
This is a legit Shiny Dialga. EV Trained by Me.
cool, not a bad nature for a shiny. go with draco meteor or dragon pulse over roar of time. No offense to RoT on the forums, but that move stinks, leaving you immobile for the next turn.
EDIT. Forgot a few

 @Focus Sash
Pressure|Bashful
~Swords Dance
~Ice Punch
~Night Slash
~Brick Break
by old build; jolly nature is a MUST. I like to go ice shard w/swords dance, since it will do a hefty amount after +2Atk and priority is always cool. Pursuit is recommended since it probably the best user of pursuit and won't do lol damage after swords dance.
 @Lum Berry
Clear Body|Docile
~Explosion
~Zen Headbutt
~Meteor Mash
~Earth Quake
CBGross? adamant nature, @choice band.
 @Focus Sash
Stead Fast|Lonely
~Aura Sphere
~Earth Quake
~Dragon Pulse
~Shadow Claw
mixLuke? Try to focus on physical or special, not both. Since you have a lonely nature, try to salvage it with a physical Lucario:
Lucario@choice band
close combat
crunch/shadow claw
stone edge
extremespeed
 @Leftovers
Torrent|Calm
~Hydro Pump
~Stealth Rock
~Grass Knot
~Ice Beam
good job. always consider surf in the power vs. accuracy battle between surf and hydro pump.
 @Shuca Berry
Flash Fire|Hasty
~Flash Cannon
~Magma Storm
~Dragon Pulse
~Dark Pulse/Earth Power
go with fire blast if you want more in terms of firepower, since magma storm, although cool and a signature move, has an awful 70% accuracy. earth power in the last spot, and consider Hidden Power over flash cannon if its a good one. @shuca berry can really surprise some people, so I'll leave it alone.

Gardevoir - Twistedspoon
Lonely
Confusion
Psychic
Future Sight
Hypnosis
modest nature; go with hypnosis/psychic/thunderbolt/will-o-wisp for team support and evades sleep clause with WoW, which can disable counters for Gardevoir, mainly Weavile and Tyranitar. Also, as a general rule of thumb, try to go with attacks of different types for type coverage: hit more pokemon; you'll be totally walled by dark pokemon, since all you have there are psychic attacks.
Lapras - Mystic Water
Careful
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump
Thunderbolt
Surf
careful nature is a bit strange; go with modest. Since Lapras' base special attack is rather on the low side, choice specs and make this one more effective in terms of damage potential. Go with Lapras' other myriad of options instead of hydro pump; psychic and dragon pulse are the main ones I can think of right now.
Mismagius - Spooky Plate
Quiet
Shadow Ball
Payback
Magical Leaf
Psybeam
quiet, oh noes =O Try to get a timid one and max out its speed, putting the remaining EVs in HP and spAtk => reason why? Mismaiguis is one of the sturdiest calm-minders alongside mespirit:
Mismagius@leftovers
timid 252spd is a must
calm mind
shadow ball
thunderbolt
substitute/taunt
Dragonite -Persim Berry
Lonely
Outrage
Thunderpunch
Fire Punch
Aqua tail
Put dragon dance on a dragonite, please, people! Or else, you're better off with Garchomp/Salamence. Try to get dragon dance/outrage/fire punch/earthquake; very predictable, but that's because it works, and this is Dragonite's special strength that Salamence, Garchomp, AND Tyranitar can never wish for: Dragon Dance and STAB Outrage to destroy stuff. Persim berry is a good choice; to heal overall statuses, like burn, go with lum berry.
I'm not sure about the items though, I would like to find better ones
Loo wrote: Hey this is my first team made up of my favourite pokes! Any help/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated
Kingler @ Salac Berry - Shell Armour
Jolly?, 16HP / 252 Attack / 240 Speed
Crabhammer
Flail
Endure
Swords Dance
I guess crabhammer will take care of what flail won't damage, especially after a swords dance or two, as kingler does have sturdy defense.
Weezing @ Black Sludge - Levitate
Adamant/Jolly/Impish, 252HP / 176 Attack / 80 Defence
Pain Split
Will-o-Wisp
Explosion
Return
Not a lot of people run impish anymore, with the advent of sludge bomb going special and Weezing does have workable special attack. With WoW more unreliable than ever with guts-abusers (read: Heracross), it's good to go special, give it a bold nature: WoW/Flamethrower/Pain Split/Thunderbolt or Sludge Bomb. T-bolt dispatches Gyarados quickly if you want to skip WoWing it, and flamethrower solves the Heracross problem.
 Mewtwo @ Leftovers - Pressure
Modest, 42HP / 252 Special Attack / 216 Speed
Ice Beam
Psychic
Recover
Calm Mind
whoah, a mewtwo. If you want calm mind/recover, go for a more bulky spead, like moving some special attack into HP; it will get some boosts after a few CMs. Not really what you're going at here, but having Mewtwo on your team makes your whole team Uber, and this team will have the uber metagame. Two options: go with shadow ball in there somewhere, since psychic is the most common type alongside dragon in ubers, or switch this one out for something like Alakazam, Azelf, or Porygon-Z.
Tyranitar @ Choice Band - Sand Stream
Adamant, 6HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Brick Break
Crunch
brick break seems a little off, but I don't really mind. Pursuit, IMO, is a superior option over brick break to dispatch pokes trying to switch out to a TTar counter, taking a bit of damage, and you might switch out to a possible counter and save TTar for later. Simple but effective strategy in slowly weakening you're opponent's team.
Gengar @ Wise Glasses? - Levitate
Modest, 6HP / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Energy Ball
Hypnosis
go with life orb if you want more damage output. However, you get go with the other possible item, wide lens, which raises hypnosis' accuracy by 10%; to take advantage of wide lens, go with focus blast>energy ball to kill off incoming Tyranitars.
Heracross @ Choice Scarf - Guts
Adamant, 6HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Megahorn
Close Combat
Stone Edge
Pursuit
awesome.
---
I doubt this is very original, I was just hoping to get my favourite pokes into a decent looking team
I'm really open to off-the wall ideas too, so don't hold back - just as long as I can keep Kingler + Weezing
It's a fairly stable team; the mewtwo is a little offsetting though.

252 atk, 124 hp, 128 def, 4 screwed
Woodhammer
EQ
Stealth Rock
Leech Seed
Physical Sweeper/Spiker/DrainTank
when facing the E4, crunch is a good move to have to face Lucian and his psychic types. Outside of in-game, this is a good moveset; stay clear of flying types though, which you should have checked via stealth rock.
Neutral @ Zap Plate | Intimidate
248 atk, 248 spd, 8 screwed

 Rash @ ??? | Steadfast

Calm Mind
Dragon Pulse
Aura Sphere
Psychic
Special Sweeper
For the E4, I guess calm mind is OK, but ditch that for dark pulse or even extremespeed (assuming you don't breed for vacuum wave).
 Neutral @ Wide Lens
to be 252 atk, 252 spd
Hi-Jump Kick
T-punch
I-punch
Recover
Physical Sweeper, Recover since I'm semi-fast
=l ditch recover for something else after beating the E4... that's all I can say. @choice scarf as well.
Jolly @ ??? (can't get Scope Lens) | Super Luck
to be 252 atk, 252 spd
Night Slash
Wing Attack/Aerial Ace/Fly
Return
Steel Wing
Physical Sweeper
good.
Suggestions and comments please. No I'm not adding more special sweepers or the like. Please do a regular rate but also rate it's effectiveness against E4. Thanks!
when facing the E4, the level of your pokemon matter more than what you're pokemon actually are. Given the fact that you did get somewhat competitive-ready pokes, you should generally be able to take down the E4.

Shadow Ball
if you want substitute, go with petaya berry. otherwise, ditch that for will-o-wisp or hypnosis and slap on leftovers or choice scarf, if you're daring. shadow ball and thunderbolt are staples on Gengar; the last sweeping move can be energy ball, focus blast, HP Fire, or sludge bomb (only if the other options are not available).
 Nature: Adamant Item: Kings Rock
252 atk 252 speed 6 hp
Attacks:
Rockslide
EQ
Sky Uppercut

king's rock only benefit one move, and with blaziken's lowish speed, it won't be flinching anything anyway. go with choice scarf/band, scarf being preferred.
 Nature: Mild Item: Chesto Berry
252 sp. atk and 252 sp. def 6 hp (not sure for this one)
Attacks:
Surf
Rest
Ice Beam
Toxic
OK, I guess; sleep talk could make Milotic better in terms of not being a sitting duck while resting.
 Nature: Adamant Item: Razor Claw
252 atk 252 spd 6hp
Attacks:
Dragon Claw
Fire Fang
Swords Dance
Crunch / EQ / Stone edge?
eh, earthquake in the final spot... I mean, that has to have been obvious, right? change the item too; yache berry is what I like.
 Nature Adamant Item: ?
252 atk 252 spd 6hp
Attacks:
Leaf Blade
Agility
?
?
agility isn't needed w/ Sceppy's awesome speed; go with swords dance instead. leaf blade/dragon claw are stable on physical Sceptiles. The last spot can be brick break or earthquake, moves that will hit steel types that otherwise wall the grass/dragon attacking combo.
 Nature Relaxed Item: ?
255 hp 252 sp.def 3 def (something like that)
Attacks:
Softboiled
Minimize
Light Screen
Healing Wish
@leftovers for starters... minimize is usually frowned upon in competitive play. charm could've worked, but being that you only get that via happiny, I guess the opportunity has passed. 252hp/252def/6spDef is usually used to maximize Blissey's potential at surviving physical assults while maintaining good special sponging as well. the only way I can see salvaging this Blissey is the Calm Mind route: softboiled/ice beam/calm mind/thunderbolt or psychic.
And as a sub (not sure if I should use or not)
 Nature Calm Item: Focus Sash
255 def and 255sp. def
Attacks:
Stealth rock
Substitute
Toxic
Roar
My strategy with Tyranitar is stealth rock +sand stream toxic roar rinse repeat with substitute if needed
not one of TTar's best assets, but I guess it can work. It's really sad to see base 134 attack and base 95 special attack both wasted, having TTar absolutely no attack moves. Thus, anyone faster can use taunt and ruin this plan. TTar is usually a valuable addition to any team, but if you use it in this way, it's better off without it.
Not sure if he's a good tank or if I should stick with the team above.

Okay so I've never really been one for overly preparing a team (actually I've never done it... ever) so I'm kind of new at this. I threw together a little plan for some of the Eevolutions I already have. I know this is just about the most overdone party ever but... Oh well.
Oh, and a note about the natures: I didn't pick them and didn't breed until I got them. Those were the six Eevees I got, and I didn't do any planning with their natures. It was totally random. They're kind of stuck with them, I guess.
Also, this isn't really implemented yet -- I have the Eevolutions all in their mid 30s and with some of their moves, but none are EV trained (and won't be until I beat the E4... I only have six badges). Here's what I'm planning:
Umbreon @ Leftovers
252 HP, 129 SD, 129 DEF
Calm nature ( - ATK, + SD)
Toxic
Mean Look
Moonlight
Dark Pulse
Espeon @ ?
252 SA, 252 SPD, 6 HP ( + DEF, - SPD)
Relaxed Nature
Psychic
Return
Swift
Morning Sun
Vaporeon @ Shell Bell
252 SA, 252 HP, 6 SPD
Impish nature ( + DEF, - SA)
Surf
Brine
Ice Beam
Return
Jolteon @ ?
252 SPD, 252 SA, 6 HP
Quirky nature (Neutral)
Thunderbolt
Return
Thunder Wave
Agility
Flareon @ ?
252 SA, 252 ATK, 6 SPD
Rash nature ( +SA, -SD)
Flamethrower
Fire Fang
Return
Bite
Leafeon @ ?
252 ATK, 129 HP, 129 SPD
Impish nature ( + DEF, - SA)
Leaf Blade
Grass Knot
Synthesis
Aerial Ace
Please don't be too critical, it's my first time.

Now, that's where the problems begin: assuming you've leveled them up, you gave them EVs that falls into the category of "random." There are EV-reducing berries that you could use, but I feel that rebreeding will do you better than finding and planting all those berries.
Here's what I'm planning:
Umbreon @ Leftovers
252 HP, 129 SD, 129 DEF
Calm nature ( - ATK, + SD)
Toxic
Mean Look
Moonlight
Dark Pulse
moonlight fails in the metagame, mainly because of the presence of Tyranitar/Hippowdon. Moonlight only restores 1/4HP in a sandstorm. Again, in conjunction with breeding, try to get wish. Then, by replacing dark pulse/toxic with baton pass, you would have a trap-passer: Mean look will still be effect after baton passing.
Espeon @ ?
252 SA, 252 SPD, 6 HP ( + DEF, - SPD)
Relaxed Nature
Psychic
Return
Swift
Morning Sun
Again, morning sun fails to sandstorm; however, if you want both Espeon and Umbreon to have morning sun, it wouldn't be a liability to have a team member set up sunny day, since moonlight will restore 3/4 (or 2/3, I forget) of you're max HP in the sun. Shadow ball>return, since it is a special attack after all. Try to get a timid one as well. Another option is having psychic/shadow ball/swift/hidden power fire and slapping on choice specs, though it is a comedy option to an extent.
Vaporeon @ Shell Bell
252 SA, 252 HP, 6 SPD
Impish nature ( + DEF, - SA)
Surf
Brine
Ice Beam
Return
Vaporeon really doesn't need max HP, unless you have substitute I guess; still, Vaporeon, having lowish speed, should focus on maximizing its defense to stay alive against the likes of Garchomps and Tyranitars so you can fire back with ice beam and surf, respectively. ditch brine and return and give it baton pass/substitute or toxic/substitute. Toxic can ware down waters (other than Empoleon) that would otherwise wall surf/ice beam.
Jolteon @ ?
252 SPD, 252 SA, 6 HP
Quirky nature (Neutral)
Thunderbolt
Return
Thunder Wave
Agility
agility and thunder wave is redundant. And on a Jolteon, having either is redundant, since it has the fastest speed of its fellow eevee-evolutions. While Vaporeon is a bulky-substitute passer, Jolteon can operate as a speedy-substitute passer: in other words, it can set up sub on the switch and baton pass right away to a counter and having sub up means that the Pokemon you're switching to via baton pass will not take any damage (barring rock blast, I guess). thunderbolt/shadow ball/substitute/baton pass; you have have charge beam instead of thunderbolt so you can pass possible spAtk boosts to a special attacker as well.
Flareon @ ?
252 SA, 252 ATK, 6 SPD
Rash nature ( +SA, -SD)
Flamethrower
Fire Fang
Return
Bite
lol, bite. Sadly, this is the extent of Flareon's movepool. Shadow ball>bite, since you apparently want to take advantage of its nature and crazy EV spread you have. Go ahead... you wouldn't get far with Flareon anyway.
Leafeon @ ?
252 ATK, 129 HP, 129 SPD
Impish nature ( + DEF, - SA)
Leaf Blade
Grass Knot
Synthesis
Aerial Ace
Grass knot should be replaced, but I don't know what ATM... Normally, Leafeon is best used as a swords dance passer, but you're team isn't physically oriented outside of Flareon, which is a horrible Pokemon to be the receiving end of the baton pass. Go with X-scissor I guess.
Now, having Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, and Leafeon on the same team really supports the idea of sunny day; I'd say put it on Umbreon (if it learns it) and Leafeon. That way, Leafeon can attract fire types ready to launch their flamethrowers, and you counter with Flareon, reduing their fire attacks to nothing and giving Flareon a boost via Flash Fire. Also, Synthesis and Moonlight heals >1/2HP in the sun, giving Leafeon/Umbreon and move turn healing move better than that of Recover.
Please don't be too critical, it's my first time.

First Team
Metagross @ Mind Plate
Ability : Clear Body
Protect
Meteor Mash
Psychic
?
you have a few options with metagross; if you want to stick to its STAB moves, then run meteor mash/earthquake/zen headbutt/explosion or something of that nature. psychic is coming off of metagross' less-than-stellar special attack, and protect is lol. @choice band
Walrien @ NeverMeltIce
Ability : Thick Fat
Earthquake
Icebeam
Blizzard
?
this thing, due to thick fat, can take fire attacks for Metagross I guess. A rest-talker is in the works here: @leftovers, rest/sleep talk/earthquake/avalanche or ice beam.
Uxie @ Big Root
Ability : Levitate
Yawn
DreamEater
Psychic
?
no dream eater; Uxie is inferior to its fellow pixies, Mespirit and Azelf, as you may want a special sweeper here. If you're going with Mespirit, try calm mind/thunderbolt/ice beam/psychic; Azelf can nasty plot/flamethrower/psychic/explosion or grass knot.
Staraptor @ Fist Plate
Ability : Intimidate
Roost
Close Combat
Arial Ace
?
@leftovers; close combat and aerial ace already provide good type coverage, so you have plenty of options in the other two spots, roost not being recommended, since it has poor defensive stats. I would go with Return for STAB and U-turn to escape out and dent the opponent while you're at it.
Second team
Staraptor @ Fist Plate
Ability : Intimidate
Roost
Close Combat
Arial Ace
?
Read above. Also, @choice band/scarf.
Persian @ Razor Claw
Ability : Limber
Payday
Slash
Swagger
Protect
now, I don't know much about persian, but I think it has a pretty good movepool. He can serve as a UU Ambipom, sporting the fake out/u-turn combo; pair those two moves up with hypnosis and a filler can function it pretty well. However, if you're going with that, try to get an Ambipom instead.
Raichu @ Magnet
Ability : Static
Discharge
Thunder
Thunder Bolt
?
thunderbolt/grass knot are standard on Raichu. the other two moves can be nasty plot and encore, which helps Raichu find a free turn to setup Nasty Plot easier.
Golem @ ?
Ability : Sturdy
SelfDestruct
Earthquake
Dig
Rock Throw
explosion>self destruct for obvious reasons. earthquake is good, but ditch dig and rock throw for stone edge/elemental punch.
