Hey guys, I have never done this before so it may not be crash hot, but I have been looking at some movesets for the pokemon I like and would appreciate any suggestions.
What I am most concerned about is the fact I don't really have any utility pokemon as such, more just sweepers, so any tips with what I should focus on as a basic team build with respect to roles would be great too. This is hopefully for some competetive battling down the track and I haven't started actually building the team yet. If I could, can I please get explanations, as to why you are changing things and also whether or not you would change EV spreads or items and natures etc.
Alakazam @Expert Belt
Timid|Synchronise

~Grass Knot
~Calm Mind
Weavile @Choice Band

~Night Slash
~Ice Punch
~Brick Break
~Pursuit (Swords Dance?)
Metagross @Leftovers
Adamant|Clear Body
148HP, 252 Atk, 110 Spd
~Meteor mash
~EQ
~Thunder Punch
~Agility
Heracross @Choice Scarf (Or should this be Jolly with leftovers and maybe Swords Dance instead of Pursuit?)
Adamant|Guts
6HP, 252Atk, 252 Spd
~Megahorn
~Close Combat
~Stone Edge
~Pursuit
Genger @Black Sludge
Timid|Levitate
160HP, 96Sp.Atk, 252 Spd
~Hypnosis
~Will o Wisp
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
Magmortar @Life Orb (not sure about this Pokemon, Suggestions? I thought maybe an Umbreon here)
Hasty|Flash Fire
40Atk, 252 Sp.Atk, 216 Spd
~Flamethrower
~Thunderbolt
~Cross Chop
~Will O Wisp
Thanks for any help guys.

If this is your leadoff for this team, you can't go wrong with trick specs: pretty easy, all you have to do is ditch calm mind for trick and @choice specs. That way, you can destroy stuff with psychic or opt to disable a slower lead by tricking specs into it.
Weavile @Choice Band
Jolly|Pressure
6HP, 252 Atk, 252 SPD
~Night Slash
~Ice Punch
~Brick Break
~Pursuit (Swords Dance?)
If you want a pursuiter, Weavile is the way to go. Just so you won't get locked into pursuit, an otherwise crappy move in the damage department, life orb/expert belt is a better option over choice band. However, if you want swords dance, ice shard>ice punch is a good idea; it still deals heavy damage after a swords dance or immediately dispatch faster opponents, like Garchomp. Obviously, @life orb/expert belt too if you want swords dance.
Metagross @Leftovers
Adamant|Clear Body
148HP, 252 Atk, 110 Spd
~Meteor mash
~EQ
~Thunder Punch
~Agility
good ol' Agiligross. This should work plenty well, esp. with thunder punch.
Heracross @Choice Scarf (Or should this be Jolly with leftovers and maybe Swords Dance instead of Pursuit?)
Adamant|Guts
6HP, 252Atk, 252 Spd
~Megahorn
~Close Combat
~Stone Edge
~Pursuit
I think this build is good. Heracross just doesn't have the speed to pull off a swords dance, but it is an option nonetheless. Again, this looks good, so if it isn't broken, don't fix it.
Genger @Black Sludge
Timid|Levitate
160HP, 96Sp.Atk, 252 Spd
~Hypnosis
~Will o Wisp
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
Double status ftw.
Magmortar @Life Orb (not sure about this Pokemon, Suggestions? I thought maybe an Umbreon here)
Hasty|Flash Fire
40Atk, 252 Sp.Atk, 216 Spd
~Flamethrower
~Thunderbolt
~Cross Chop
~Will O Wisp
Since you are pretty much offensively oriented, you can't go wrong with a baton passer here. Since you're other pokemon that have pretty good stats or have setup moves of their own, you can have a BPer that doesn't necessarily BP stats -- substitutes, mean look, etc. are good things to pass. Also, it would be cool for you to have a bulky water in general, so how about a Vaporeon instead?:
Vaporeon@leftovers
water absorb
bold 252def/80spAtk/172HP
substitute
wish/toxic/ice beam
baton pass
surf
Thanks for any help guys.

really, hyper beam? ditch that for trick, slap on choice specs and you have a fine starter in TrickSpecs. Tricking specs instantly decapitates a defensive-oriented pokemon, and psychic can mash stuff if you do not choose to trick.
Cayenne
Adamant @ Shell Bell. Flash Fire
255atk 100def 155speed

-Flare Blitz
-Horn Drill

I would think that a Heatran, Aracnine, Ninetales or even a Houndoom would work better as a Flash Fire setup. They all have superior movepools to this horse and some have better stats. Although fire and bug removes the likes of steels and Cresselia, it doesn't offer much in the way of type coverage and that can be your downfall as well. Really, stick to a Heatran (@specs, flamethrower/dragon pulse/earth power/explosion) or Arcanine (@choice band, extremespeed/flare blitz/crunch/thunder fang) if you want to take advantage of flash fire.

Since you have curse, bulk up its HP and spDef in the EV department. That way, it can switch into psychic better than you think and fire a shadow sneak back at them.
Santoku

denial attacker? new term, wrong pokemon. rock slide is good with it's speed, but it doesn't flinch that much to take advantage of flinch+confusion; besides, its usually paralysis+flinch, so this fails. ditch surf and confuse ray for waterfall and night slash I guess. If you get a Kabutops w/ swift swim, rain dance instead of x-scissor is a worthy option to consider.

Netural @ Salac Berry. Swarm

it gets earth power, so use it over earthquake. if you ditch roost for draco meteor, you would have an imposter specsMence, which does work well and can surprise.

I've changed that last move about 4 times since I posted this >.< , Though I have yet to try trick, With alakazam's horrible DEF though even using a turn to trick an opponent leaves him open to a usually fatal attack. Hyper beam has been used basically as a special version of Explosion, he's dead meat afterwards...

I choose X-scissor over dark slash since he's gets more type advantages in combination w/ rock and water. I use surf over waterfall since it drops defensive walls like Rypherior and Fortress better than Waterfall is able.

I favored EQ over EP so it can't be special walled, and even with modest nature it's attack is still quite powerful, Roost is there for lack of a better move, and I'm kinda squeamish over Draco meteor's S.Atk drop >.> I'll give it a try

MonKey wrote: some Pokemon i've been wondering

really, use dragonite to its best advantage, it this goes for anyone who is reading this, including MonKey: DD+Outrage. Otherwise, Garchomp and Salamence can do stuff like this better, including STAB earthquake in the case of Garchomp (which doesn't mind swords dance). Ice punch, although it is a good overall move, doesn't deal much in terms of type coverage, since you have dragon claw (which should be outrage, btw) and earthquake. Ditch ice punch for fire punch to hit floating steels and outrage>dragon claw. @lum berry is also an option.
 @leftovers
Hasty
252 HP 129 DEF 129 SP DEF

Haze

Toxic
Fly/Aerial Ace/Roost
Hazbat, although is an option, is one of the worse options to consider. Crobat has horrible typing and low defenses to pull of a haze without getting KOed. If you want a hazer, opt for the steel bird, Skarmory, for pheudohazing in the form of roar. Suicune, Hippowdon (which is bad choice), Weezing, and Blastoise (if you fancy a non-OU one) are other options.
 @Wide Lens
Timid
252 SP ATK 252 SPD 6 HP
Shadow Ball
HP Fire
Focus Blast/Psychic
Hypnosis/Thunderbolt
if you have wide lens, then take advantage of it: focus blast>HP Fire and hypnosis in the last spot. You can slap on choice scarf, hypnosis/shadow ball/thunderbolt/energy ball or focus blast can make a fine leadoff for your team.

odd... why can't Ninetales learn energy ball through TM; that just sucks and is a blunder on the part of Nintendo.
Ninetales@leftovers
flash fire
(was it a timid nature? forgot)
flamethrower
nasty plot/calm mind
extrasensory/substitute
dark pulse/grudge
use the moves on the left for an offensive Ninetales, which is really a setback without energy ball. the moves on the left provide a steadier Ninetales. Although your defensive IVs are trash, substitute can somewhat stall to calm mind up a bit so flamethrower does a nice amount to those w/o flash fire ability. Grudge, in my opinion is a nice move to eliminate all the PP of a certain move, which can give you a free turn to set up if the opponent is a choice user. However, you can have another offensive more (preferably extrasensory) instead so it doesn't get walled easily and gets the offensive benefits of calm mind.

Yeah, one prob...Extrasensory is an egg move..., Hidden Power's the only one that'll fit

it can learn it by leveling up, unless the dude already evolved the vulpix, which is... don't use that Ninetales if it's already evolved AND you're asking for movesets now. That, IMO, is just plain fail.
flamethrower/dark pulse/nasty plot/overheat is my final comment if that's the case. Nasty plot can make Overheat immensely powerful and its spAtk drop back down to +/- 0 stages, so flamethrower still packs a punch, and you can overheat again w/o much repercussion.

I've been testing this team to see if it's any good; it's been holding up i guess, i like it since it's not too complicated in terms of strategy
this team will also be used in DP for friendly battles and batle tower

@bushin: fine, go ahead with the suggestions I've made.

I like shadow claw in the final spot to hit ghosts reasonably well.
 , adamant-swarm @ salac
252 spd 252 atk 4sdef
x-scissor
swords dance
Iron head
Brick break
aerial ace over iron head makes it a fine heracross counter. why @salac? go with life orb or leftovers. Also try a baton passing Scizor, which can help in bunches with the final suggestions I have:
Scizor@leftovers
Technician
impish 156hp/206def/148spd
- baton pass
- agility
- aerial ace
- roost
roserade @ heat rock-timid; natural cure
4hp, 252 spd 252 sp atk
~ Sunny Day
~ Energy Ball
~ Weather Ball
~ sludge bomb
fine, but where solarbeam? (hint: put that instead energy ball)
 @ leftovers
252HP 172S.A 84S.D
-Modest- Serene grace
Air slash
Thunder wave
Aura sphere
Roost
my personal favorite 'kiss set as well, but what's with the EVs? unorthodox, but I guess it can work.
 @life orb
rash-intimidate
2hp, 120 atk, 136spd 252spatk
Crunch
Draco-meteor
Fire blast
roar
a roaring salamence? this thing needs a 4th attack -- brick break in the final spot to crack blissey's egg.
 @leftovers
Calm, own tempo
Ice beam
Psychic
Surf
Slack off
EVs? eh, whatever.

I really think you should have a sunny-day abuser other than Blaziken: Heatran. You'll attract flamethrowers and fire blasts like candy to a little kid thanks to sunny day, roserade, and scizor (which are weak against fire attacks). Thanks to flash fire, Heatran can thank the opponent and proceed to baffle foes thanks to BPed speed from Scizor. Other tankish-pokemon that can benefit from sunny day is Cresselia.
In a nutshell, I recommend Heatran and Cresselia to your team:
Heatran@life orb
flash fire
modest 16hp/252spAtk/240spd
- dragon pulse
- flamethrower/lava plume
- earth power
- hidden power grass or electric/explosion
dragon + fire + ground hits everything for at least neutral damage. HPs are options but for in-game feasibility, go with explosion -- it won't KO a full-health Blissey, so you have been warned.
Cresselia@heat rock/light clay/leftovers
levitate
bold 252atk/108def/148spDef
- moonlight
- sunny day/reflect/calm mind
- solarbeam/ice beam
- psychic/charge beam/grass knot
use the moves on the left and @heat rock if you want Cress pokemon to set up sunny day, or the moves in the middle/right for a supporter or calm mind tank -- @light clay is a worthy option with reflect, but leftovers works just as good. @leftovers with calm mind regardless.
You can choose which pokes to substitute; I would kick out Slowking and Togekiss for these two. Salamence is considered for removal as well, but it has fire blast, so I'm hesitant to say that.
thnankyou very much

Yet again, I'm interested in rating my ever-changing team. But things are bound to get nowhere if I keep morphing and morphing my team, so let's just move on and get a vista of what this new weird BL/UU Team idea is about, shall we?
Note: Running a BL/UU Team doesn't mean I can't take on OU adversaries, so keep that in mind.

* Well, that wraps things up for today's AABMesque Sets, I kinda like the way they are, even if they work or not (and I think for you cold raters out there, some of these don't work at all).
But meh, I'm ready to take on any strong comment, I'm bound to test this in Shoddy myself if it sees any light there, with Chomps, Blissey and Tar running around like scared mice, but that's the way it should be anyway.
