My friend and I are setting up 3 pokemon teams to battle each other and hopefully use in Battle Tower. We set rules to not use any of the uber pokemon. I have two so far, I want to know if there could be some help in determining a third. Here is what I got so far.

{dusknoir} @Choice Band
Adamant/Pressure
252 Atk 252 HP 6 Def
Shadow Sneak
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Earthquake

{mamoswine} @Leftovers
Adamant/Snowcloak
124 HP 252 Atk 68 Spd 64 Def
Curse
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Ice Shard

I was thinking of using either {electivire} or {lucario}, but I was also wanting to use something that wasn't exactly Sinnoh specific.

EDIT: I think I need a starter. I was thinking {gengar} or {crobat}
Don't know if it will fit in the team, but I am liking {kingdra}

Just hatched myself an Adamant Charmander and Larvitar. Here are some moves I got.

{charizard} @Life Orb
Adamant|Blaze
252 Attack 252 Spd 6 HP
~Dragon Dance
~Flare Blitz
~Dragon Claw
~Earth Quake

Wierd set, and I believe Salamence can do this better with higher attack, but whatever, it'll work.

{tyranitar} @Focus Sash
Adamant|Sandstream
252 Attack 252 Spd 6 Def
~Dragon Dance
~Crunch
~Earth Quake
~Stone Edge

Weird, why Focus Sash? TTar is naturally bulky for a sweeper... this is like giving Metagross a sash. Ditch it for leftovers or something.

And a Lucario

{lucario} @Focus Sash
Lonely|Stead Fast
Forgot EV's
~Close Combat
~Shadow Claw
~Swords Dance
~Earth Quake

OK, Lucario might not have the bulky defenses, but it has alot of resistances to switch into, notably Stone Edge. Extremespeed is a must... put it over Earthquake and you're set. Close Combat will do enough damage to those who are x2 weak to EQ (180BP vs. 200BP), and EQ won't be hitting Moltres/Charizard would it?

CB Dusknoir? Cool points for that >.> but I'm not sure how far this can go. Tell me how this goes, will ya?

{mamoswine} @Leftovers
Adamant/Snowcloak
124 HP 252 Atk 68 Spd 64 Def
Curse
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Ice Shard

nice, although you probably don't need to max out attack since you're cursing anyway; move some/most of them into spDef since most battlers will switch in a Special Sweeper to hit its non-boosted special defense.

scarfGar is awesome in 3 vs. 3 battles: @choice scarf Hynosis/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt/Focus Blast or Hidden Power Ice.

I ran into a little problem with my Mamoswine. I didn't realize that Curse was not a TM this time around. Here are the EVs I got on it now:
128 Atk
188 Spec Def
124 HP
68 Speed

These are the choices I have: Should I, Re-breed a a new one with curse and redo all the EVs again. Or should I just make this a Choice-bander Mamoswine?

You just went from 2nd Generation to 4th Gen? O.o

You can redo your EVs to salvage this Mamoswine. If you're speed IV is decent enough, try to aim for an end result of 254 overall speed (if 31 IV, that's 232EVs) or just go with 244 overall speed (if 31 IV, that's 192EVs). 254 outspeeds Heatrans and 244 outspeeds the more popular Tyranitar and EQ both of them to their graves. Max out attack and put any remaining in HP. EQ/Stone Edge/Ice Shard/Ice Fang, perhaps? The last move can also be Blizzard with Abomasnow support.

Well, not exactly. I never tried to make competitive pokemon before, so I never really used moves that werent attacks. Pretty noobish.

At last, I think I've got a solid team, it looks like the last one, but it has changed quite a bit, so let's check it.

Note: Old-fashion 252/252/6 EVs and standard-ism aren't options, I like having all-around skills for my pokes, kthxbai.

1. Luxray @ Expert Belt
Intimidate.
Adamant | 128 Att; 60 Def; 252 Spd; 70 SD.
· Spark
· Fire Fang
· Ice Fang
· Roar

2. Ledian @ Light Clay
Early Bird.
Bold | 4 HP; 192 Def; 252 Spd; 62 SD.
· Light Screen
· Reflect
· Encore
· Knock Off

3. Claydol @ Brightpowder
Levitate.
Relaxed | 148 HP; 144 Def; 104 SA; 114 SD.
· Ice Beam
· Rapid Spin
· Stealth Rock
· Earth Power

4. Mismagius @ Leftovers
Levitate.
Timid | 4 HP; 88 Def; 252 Spd; 144 SA; 24 SD.
· Substitute
· Thunderbolt
· Shadow Ball
· Calm Mind

5. Cloyster @ Icicle Plate
Skill Link.
Careful | 104 HP; 120 Att; 102 Def; 184 Sp. Def.
· Icicle Spear
· Rapid Spin
· Toxic Spikes
· Spikes

6. Flygon @ Shell Bell
Levitate.
Naive | 124 Att; 252 Spd; 134 SA.
· Earthquake
· Draco Meteor
· Crunch
· Substitute

* Most of them are similar to what they used to be, but they jumped to the next level.

*Key*

1. Physical Boltbeamer, Phaser, Intimidate Leader.

2. Perfect Switch-In for slow EQ users because of Encore, Screen Team-Player, Knocks your items Off.

3. Global Tank with Spinning and SR-ing capabilities.

4. Set-Up Special Threat... and what a threat...

5. Set-Up Garchomp
KILLER, Spike Galore, second-hand Spinner.

6. Regular Attacking boy, Stall-Sweeper, maybe?

Adamant | 128 Att; 60 Def; 252 Spd; 70 SD.

I'm somewhat skeptical about this, especially Fire Fang. I'll give you creativity points, but faster opponents will take advantage. If you're expecting EQ, then I guess to can switch in Ledian...

2. Ledian @ Light Clay
Early Bird.
Bold | 4 HP; 192 Def; 252 Spd; 62 SD.
· Light Screen
· Reflect
· Encore
· Knock Off

At least it's not the Sub-Punch one I've seen on this time, so this can work as well.

3. Claydol @ Brightpowder
Levitate.
Relaxed | 148 HP; 144 Def; 104 SA; 114 SD.
· Ice Beam
· Rapid Spin
· Stealth Rock
· Earth Power

Brightpowder? I guess you're playing by Item Clause, but if not, stick to leftovers. I like Earthquake instead of Earth Power because: 1) It will hit TTar and Heatran harder. 2) You have a relaxed Claydol, so take advantage of the nature while it can still benefit you, which Earthquake can.

4. Mismagius @ Leftovers
Levitate.
Timid | 4 HP; 88 Def; 252 Spd; 144 SA; 24 SD.
· Substitute
· Thunderbolt
· Shadow Ball
· Calm Mind

I like a bit more HP for sturdier Substitutes... maybe move some from special attack? This set was the most "standard" I've seen yet from you, but Substitute is a nice throw-in.

5. Cloyster @ Icicle Plate
Skill Link.
Careful | 104 HP; 120 Att; 102 Def; 184 Sp. Def.
· Icicle Spear
· Rapid Spin
· Toxic Spikes
· Spikes

Surf? You have no defense against Heracross, which will take advantage of Toxic Spikes, so I like Surf instead because you need a solid attack on this Cloyster: Icicle Spear is crap unless it hits SE, and Rapid Spin (in terms of damage) is lol.

6. Flygon @ Shell Bell
Levitate.
Naive | 124 Att; 252 Spd; 134 SA.
· Earthquake
· Draco Meteor
· Crunch
· Substitute

Substitute seems a bit off, but I guess it can work.

* Most of them are similar to what they used to be, but they jumped to the next level.

1. Physical Boltbeamer, Phaser, Intimidate Leader.

2. Perfect Switch-In for slow EQ users because of Encore, Screen Team-Player, Knocks your items Off.

6. Regular Attacking boy, Stall-Sweeper, maybe?

A lot more sturdier, I'd see this team working very well. Your team is a bit on the slow side when you compare it to OU teams, but whatever, your sturdiness might prevail... a big might.

A sandstorm team, It's my first try at a weather team and I wanna see how I did.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Impish
Sand Stream
Effort Values: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4Atk
Slack Off
Roar
Ice Fang
Earthquake

Starter to set up Sandstorm, and physical wall.

Tyranitar @ Life Orb
Adamant
Sand Stream
Effort Values: 252 Attack, 196 Speed, 60 HP
Stone Edge
Crunch
Ice Beam
Fire Blast
Ice beam

Alittle worried about life orb recoil, what do you think??

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
Sand Veil
Effort Values: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Outrage
Earthquake
Crunch
Fire Blast

Revenge Killer Garchomp, a MONSTER in the sand.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Careful
Suction Cups
Effort Values: 252 HP, 164 Special Defense, 92 Defense
Toxic
Recover
Rock Slide
Energy Ball

Special Wall, added some defense so he isnt decimated by physicals

Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest
Flash Fire
Effort Values: 252 Special attack, 204 Speed, 52 HP
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Dragon Pulse (didnt get lucky enough for HP ice T.T)

My special attacker, not alot can easily switch on it.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish
Sand Veil
Effort Values: 252 HP, 204 Defense, 52 Attack
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Stealth Rock
Roost

Other than the starter (hippo) none of these pokemon are in any specific order for the team. Please let me know if it looks ok if I should change something.
Thanks, I will definately be considering to swap my Specsmence for one of my defenses. If I were to, which one do you like better -

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Calm

Spite
ShadowSneak
Protect
Rest

PP Drainer and tank. This guy has 31 IV's in HP and Special defense, not sure about regular defense. IV breed ftw? xP

OR

Umbreon @ Leftovers

Bold - 255 HP, 100+ in both defense and special defense. << Cause I'm lazy and vitamins rock xP.

Toxic
Meanlook
Wish
Batonpass

Yes, I already have those 2, except I haven't trained my spiritomb yet >_<.

So, which one should I use in replace of which? o_o
for a umbreon(trust me because every time i battle some one at the battle tower i end up with umbreon as my last guy and i usually win)

Umbreon @ leftovers

modest - 100 speed, 100 both defences, 100 HP, and howevermany left for what ever att
-dark pulse/wish
-moonlight
-toxic
-protect

toxic first turn, then protect, then wish (but not if you use a att move)then moonlight(moonlight is good because it heals them in one turn)

and i have my umbreon but i need two more guys, im thinking of a aerodactyl or charizard and a blissey or nidoking. any suggestions?

No setting up rocks? whatever.

Fire Blast

Alittle worried about life orb recoil, what do you think??

expert belt can do if you're shy on Life Orb recoil. I do see that Life Orb can lower its natural bulkiness, but you're using it as a sweeper. Choice Scarf is also an option for a late-game sweeper.

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
Sand Veil
Effort Values: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Outrage
Earthquake
Crunch
Fire Blast

Revenge Killer Garchomp, a MONSTER in the sand.

I'd prefer the Substitute/Swords Dance/Earthquake/Dragon Claw version of Garchomp if you really want to abuse the sand. This works well too if you want to use it as a revenge killer too.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Careful
Suction Cups
Effort Values: 252 HP, 164 Special Defense, 92 Defense
Toxic
Recover
Rock Slide
Energy Ball

Special Wall, added some defense so he isnt decimated by physicals

Rock Slide seems a bit off... Earthquake can be a better physical attack of choice to hit Steel and the rare Poison type, should you be unable to toxicate these two types. I sorta forgot if Cradily gets it, if it does, Grass Knot is usually the move of choice.

Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest
Flash Fire
Effort Values: 252 Special attack, 204 Speed, 52 HP
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Dragon Pulse (didnt get lucky enough for HP ice T.T)

My special attacker, not alot can easily switch on it.

With Specs, you are less reliant to get HP Ice, since Specs + Dragon Pulse will down every dragon except Dialga (which you shouldn't be facing anyways).

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish
Sand Veil
Effort Values: 252 HP, 204 Defense, 52 Attack
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Stealth Rock
Roost

Sure.

Other than the starter (hippo) none of these pokemon are in any specific order for the team. Please let me know if it looks ok if I should change something.

Most sandstorm teams, sadly, suffer from MixApe pwnage. Close Combat/Nasty Plot/HP Ice/Flamethrower can ruin this, and most sandstorm teams, silly. I guess Garchomp can revenge kill it, but that's where any bulky water comes in. The combination of MixApe and a water poke can take on most sandstorm teams if the conditions are right (Hippo not at full health, Garchomp dead, etc.). I'd say that, because of such weaknesses, a Heatproof Bronzong can save you, more like stall for some time, against these counters.

Salamence@Choice Specs
Intimidate
6 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
Mild
Draco Meteor
Dragon Pulse
Hydro Pump
Flamethrower

This thing had helped me since it KOs things such as Gyarados for me and it's pretty strong. I didn't breed for Modest because this one was pretty good anyway and it's ability makes up for it.

Heracross@Flame Orb
Guts
6 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
Jolly
Substitute
Megahorn
Close Combat
Stone Edge

Substitute is there so that it can avoid status and gain the boost from Flame Orb and get an extra hit to survive. The other moves are for coverage and strength.

Gardevoir@Life Orb
Synchronize
6 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
Modest
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball

Walrein@Leftovers
Ice Body
252 HP/6 Special Attack/252 Speed
Sassy
Hail
Encore
Surf
Ice Beam

This is my special wall and it gets lot of health recovery thanks to Hail and Leftovers.Encore traps Wobuffet or stat boostin pokemon if they want to Counter my Heracross or stat boost.Surf and Ice Beam are for STAB and to kill Garchomp and Salamence or Dragonite if needed.

Bronzong@Leftovers
Levitate
252 HP/6 Defense/252 Special Defense
Sassy
Gyro Ball
Psychic
Hypnosis
Reflect

This is my special wall.Reflect helps for physical hits and Hypnosis sleeps stuff, and Gyro Ball and Psychic are STAB moves to hit things.

Pelipper@Wacan Berry
Keen Eyes
224 HP/182 Defense/104 Special Attack
Impish
Surf
Roost
Toxic
Stockpile

This is my physical wall and it's pretty simple to use.If it can't hit, then It will use Toxic and Stockpile so that the opponent dies while barely touching this thing. It will Roost if it is low on health.Wacan berry is there so that it can survive a Thunderbolt if it does not have STAB boost.

If you see this on Smogon, then I am the original maker of the Rate My Team.

here's a kind of fun team i thought up, not really going to be used for anything too competitive. Switches between heavy sweepers and tanks. Suggestions?

{ninjask} @ Leftovers
Jolly | Speed Boost
252 Speed, 129 Def, 129 HP
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- X-Scissor
- Endure

Set up a swords dance + speed boost and pass to either infernape or marowak for sweeping. X-Scissor if I need to attack, and Endure if I want to use another turn for speed boost to pass to marowak.

{infernape} @ Shell Bell
Jolly | Blaze
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
- Bulk Up
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Shadow Claw

Physical suicide sweeper. Bulk up only if I didn't get a pass from ninjask, shadow claw for psychics.

{bronzong} @ Leftovers
Sassy | Levitate
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
- Trick Room
- Block
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball

Wall and set up trick room for marowak/snorlax. Only thing I'm worried about is lack of healing. Switch Gyro Ball for rest?

{marowak} @ Thick Club
Brave | Rock Head
252 Attack, 252 HP, 6 Sp Def
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Double-Edge
- Fire Punch

No speed added because of trick room. Fire punch for grass and ice.

{snorlax} @ Leftovers
Careful | Thick Fat
252 Attack, 129 Def, 129 HP
- Curse
- Return
- Amnesia
- Rest

Use trick room set-up and curse/return to sweep. Amnesia if I need more special defense.

{blastoise} @ Leftovers
Calm | Torrent
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
- Aqua Ring
- Surf
- Toxic
- Rest

Tank to use with toxic.

Please let me know what you think! Thanks.

I'd say Protect is a better move overall, being that, in a sandstorm environment, Endure wouldn't do anything. You also have Think Club on Marowak, so try to focus on getting speed boosts before swords dances passed to it.

{infernape} @ Shell Bell
Jolly | Blaze
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
- Bulk Up
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Shadow Claw

Physical suicide sweeper. Bulk up only if I didn't get a pass from ninjask, shadow claw for psychics.

Bulk Up. lol. Really, Infernape doesn't have any defenses to set up... Swords Dance would be a better set up move, but being that this can also be a speed recipient of Ninjask as well, you can go mixed with Flamethrower/Grass Knot/Close Combat/HP Ice or something of that nature.

{bronzong} @ Leftovers
Sassy | Levitate
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
- Trick Room
- Block
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball

Wall and set up trick room for marowak/snorlax. Only thing I'm worried about is lack of healing. Switch Gyro Ball for rest?

If you're getting speed boosts from Ninjask, Trick Room is for... Well, I guess it can be a backup plan, being that Ninjask fails to do its job 90% of the time. Block and Toxic doesn't seem to fit as well. For an all out Trick Room supporter, you can go Trick Room, one of the screens (Reflect or Light Screen), Gyro Ball, and perhaps Explosion.

{marowak} @ Thick Club
Brave | Rock Head
252 Attack, 252 HP, 6 Sp Def
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Double-Edge
- Fire Punch

No speed added because of trick room. Fire punch for grass and ice.

But if you plan to BP some speed from Ninjask, even 2 speed boosts won't allow Marowak to outspeed much. Swords Dance isn't really needed because of Thick Club, but I guess you can set up further since it has good defense. Earthquake/Rock Slide/Fire Punch should be its offense. In Trick Room, Rock Slide can work since it's already coming off of good attack, and the random flinch can help.

{snorlax} @ Leftovers
Careful | Thick Fat
252 Attack, 129 Def, 129 HP
- Curse
- Return
- Amnesia
- Rest

Use trick room set-up and curse/return to sweep. Amnesia if I need more special defense.

Gets walled too easily =o That's all I can say. It can work from a walling perspective, but a Ghost can come in and laugh in your face. Something like Calm Mind Mismagius or Gengar w/ Hypnosis can cripple your team with this free switch-in. Ditch Amnesia for Crunch if you want to fix this. 252hp/6atk/252spDef, being that you'll get in a Curse or two, increasing your attack and defense stats as well.

{blastoise} @ Leftovers
Calm | Torrent
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
- Aqua Ring
- Surf
- Toxic
- Rest

Tank to use with toxic.

I'd say Milotic can pull off the exact same set better, while having a better recovery move in, well, Recover.

Please let me know what you think! Thanks.

252 HP 100 DEF 129 SP DEF 29 sp atk
Bold|Over Grow

~Giga Drain Energy Ball

~Grass Whistle

This set might work but be careful of Grass whistle missing.

This team will probably benefit from a wall, so either umbreon or Meganium could be used.

Here's a trick room team I made up real quick

Image
Cresselia@Leftovers, levitate
Relaxed(+def -speed)
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Def
- Trick Room
- Charge Beam
- Ice Beam
- Light Screen

usually starts out with trick room. Charge beam and ice beam for coverage. I guess I have light screen cause my team is a little lacking in sp. def. However, I rather not use legendaries cause you can't breed them, anyone have an idea to replace this pokemon?

Image
Marowak@Thick Club, rock head
Brave(+attack -speed)
252 Attack, 252 HP, 4 Def
- Boomerang
- Rock Slide
- Fire Punch
- Double Edge

Yeah i think he's pretty strong. Boomerange so I can take out substitutes and also get a hit on the person at the same time. Rest simply for type coverage except for double edge, that's just a filler.

Image
Bronzong@Leftovers, levitate
Sassy(+ sp.Def -speed)
252 HP, 152 Attack, 104 Sp.def
- Trick Room
- Gyroball
- Hypnosis
- Stealth Rock

Another Trick roomer. Don't know if I should have stealth rock there or not. But pretty gyroball and hypnosis, the works.

Image
Umbreon@Leftovers, synchronize
Sassy(+sp.def - speed)
252 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 4 def
- Wish
- baton pass
- curse
- toxic

a supporter. he heals my team, he curses, baton passes, and poisons people.

Image
Relicanth@Choice Band, rock head
Brave(+attack -speed)
252 Attack, 252 HP, 4 Def
- Head Smash
- Waterfall
- Double-edge
- Earthquake

A hard hitter. Rock head ability makes it so it takes no recoil damage. Earthquake just there for type coverage.

Image
Slowbro@leftovers, Own Tempo
Relaxed(+def -speed)
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Def
- Trick Room
- Slack Off
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Another trick roomer, slack off for healing, surf and ice beam for some type coverage.

So what would you guys change about this team?

Here is my 3v3 team upgraded to a 6v6 team. I did use Smogon for help, btw.

{crobat} @ Leftovers
Timid
160 HP / 32 SpA / 216 Spd
Hypnosis
Taunt
U-Turn
Air Slash

{gengar} @ Life Orb
Timid
252 SpA / 252 Spd / 6 Def
Thunderbolt
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast

{dusknoir} @ Choice Band
Adamant
252 Atk / 252 HP / 6 Def
Shadow Sneak
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Earthquake

{scyther} @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
252 Atk / 160 Def / 96 Spd
X-Scissor
Aerial Ace
Night Slash
Reversal

{mamoswine} @ Choice Band
Adamant
252 Atk / 64 HP / 192 Spd
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Ice Shard
Ice Fang

{swampert} @ Leftovers
Relaxed
240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA
Surf
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Ice Beam

There may be better choices for Crobat and Scyther, but I just like them.

um no frenzy plant. i believe that it is a recharged attack and it sux (sorry). secondly i see no set roles for your team. roles help win battles and do ALOT of damage. secondly i don't realy like blazaken for one resone 6 weaknesses. if anything a typhlosion or charzard would be a better choice. fly not a good move (has lower accracy and attacks on next turn vulnerable attack) also to many flying moves for your pigiot

your dragon pokemon is highly vulnerable to dragon and ice attacks. give it flamthrower or some fire attack to fix this.

don't mind your electric type it works can't realy complain

Umbreon IF anything get rid of screech and teach it toxic (or shadowball as an evee)

also did you EV train them
