lack of fire type pokemon. seriously, in the sinnoh dex you only get two: ponyta and chimchar. seeing as i chose piplup as my starter, i had to get ponyta, which isnt the ideal candidate for a powerful fire type, but she did well.
oh, and next time, use the edit button instead of posting again. mods go nuts over that...

/ and / .
All the Pokemon I had in my team were Ghost, 'cause the Lost Tower and Chataeu didn't have these annoying Rattata/Pidgey clones.
And was pretty annoying too, but not to the point where I wanted to sell my DS and never play Pokemon ever again like the above two groups did.

I got lost in victory road once (Stupid me I was within 30 steps of the exit) and didn't play for 2 weeks because of that frustration.
Here's something that isn't stupid: I swear the game glitched. In battle tower I quit because a holding a focus band was invincible. It endured 10 hits with the focus band when it only had 1HP every time!

this one wasn't the game's fault though: my sister closed the ds when i reached my longest winning streak at the battle tower....didn't play for a week.

The fact that I reached a chain of 40 spoinks and the shiny wasnt coming up after 2 hours of resets really pissed me off.I managed to get 50 and I lost another 2 hours reseting the radar without shiny patch.
Finally after my 60th spoink the first reset gave me a shiny patch. But I got a SOO bad headache that I didnt play for two days. :D
Shiny hunting is really the most frustrating thing in sinnoh...

The lack of fire type pokemon bugged me, as well. If you didn't select Chimchar at the beginning, then Ponyta/Rapidash were your only options.

The lack of Dragon types really bit me in the ass.... roflcopterz! NOT! I'm not fussed on types etc when I comes to playing through the game - that's all part of the fun.
What annoyed me most was the huge gap between the 2nd and 4th badges - my Pokemon grew past level 30 and started disobeying
Oh, the other annoying thing for me was the marsh area on route 212(?) where you get stuck in the mud like a little beeyatch.

Strong wording.
Lol, no new dragons? There were 6. But in Ruby/Sapp there were 9.
Which gym is the 2nd & 3rd?

How strong the Elite Four are! Sure they're easy with a strong group of well leveled Pokemon, but I hate training my Pokemon. I have a somewhat OCD thing where I have to have all my Pokemon the same level. At the moment I'm running around with the VS Seeker... almost done though.

It's not really that surprising, given that Sinnoh is a mock of Hokkaido (all of the pokemon game regions are a mock of a japan region) And Hokkaido is somewhat of a weather/climate equivalent of Alaska. So yup no fire pokes there..

The lack of fire types was frustrating if you didn't pick Chimchar. I picked Turtwig and had to catch a Ponyta and evolve it to a Rapidash just to beat the Bronzong in the Elite 4. Another thing that bugs me is that I suck at chaining Pokemon I just want to find a shiny. My best chain was around 9 or 10. I also did't like getting to the top of Mt. Coronet because I usually forget to buy repels and it is really annoying getting to the top.

Fire types. Seriously guys, FIRE TYPES? I barely missed them.
Anyway, I have to agree Mt. Coronet was annoying. Getting to the top to catch Dialga, getting to the top to catch Arceus, getting from east to west and back, getting to north from south and back. I cried. NVM... What, you think the mighty cellblock would cry over a game?

There weren't many fire types? I can't say I noticed, as they're not all that great anyway...
The most frustrating thing that I found was either the traversing of Mt. Coronet (I hate caves, and I didn't get De-Fog until after...), or only being able to transfer 6 Pokemon to Pal Park per 24 hours. This last one is because I don't see why Game Freak would restrict it like that, I may want to send over large numbers of Pokemon so I can restart my game, or I may promise to give my friend a Pokemon in my GBA game to his DP game, but since I haven't migrated since Day-Light savings changed, it doesn't let me. Perhaps I lend a game to my friend, so he can get some Pokemon off it. Then, when I ask for it back he says "I can't, I still have a lot of Pokemon to migrate. I can't just make him migrate them all, but he doesn't have the mental capacity to remember to do it once a day, even if I remind him. So I need to actually go to his house daily, and tell him to remember to migrate. And if this entire situation were to occur, he might suddenly say he still needs to catch Suicune, which I have to go to his house to remind him to do so, then he just plays FireRed and I get bored so I just go home so then he stops and he's been boring my FireRed for well over a year now and I want in back.
Sorry for switching between referring to possible situations and actual situations in mid-sentence...

Now, I can agree with you there. I survived without fire types, but I can only think of 4 added off the top of my head.

Another way to not find the E4 frustrating is to use items!! I took them on mainly using Torterra, Staraptor, Dialga and Gastrodon. None of which were over level 47 (I'd never used Dialga before the E4, I caught it then forgot it was in my PC...).
I also used what I believe was 17 Hyper Potions, somewhere between 5 and 10 revives, a Max Revive and a bunch of PP restorers...
I had two other Pokemon, but they were still at the low 40s so I just sent them out so I'd have time to revive/heal another Pokemon.
Give a Pokemon you use often the Amulet Coin, so you'll make most of you money back, too.

It's not that you need a fire Pokemon to beat the Elite 4 it's just that it makes beating that Bronzong a lot easier because its only weakness is fire and it will take a while unless you have a very high level Pokemon with you.
