So right now I am using my main Pokemon Team. The team has Garchomp, Skarmory, Milotic, Electivire, Tyranitar, and Gengar. But the problem is that Gengar is usually being used for 3 turns in a battle because of Sandstorm, heck sometimes even less. I feel that I need to switch it out for a Special Lucario that I use on another team. Well here are the movesets.

{gengar}
Modest@Focus Sash
252 SPA 252 SPD 6 HP
~Thunder Bolt
~Shadow Ball
~Hypnosis
~Focus Blast

My Gengar isn't too bad but it's IV's are crap and the stats say it all. (368 Special Attack 278 Speed)

{lucario}
Timid@Focus Sash
255 SPA 255 SPD
~Shadow Ball
~Dragon Pulse
~Aura Sphere
~Water Pulse

Seeing as this Lucario is one point away from having MAX Speed it is really fast, it also doesn't have to worry about Sandstorm possibly KO it out so that is good too. So who should I replace?

Wow, what am I looking for. Oh yeah - why are you using thoses sets?

Gengar - I prefer choice scarf. Hypnosis, T-bolt, Psychic, and either HP Ice or Energy Ball.
Lucario - better off with a choice specs or life orb. Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse, Vacuum Wave, DragonPulse/HP Ice.

Psychic helps with a slight hera weakness, along with taking down Nidoking (that shot up when it was realised that Nidoking absorbed toxic spikes, layed them down on the opponent, reisted Stealth Rock courtesy of his useful resistances, and got STAB on EQ).

I personally prefer SD Luke with HP ice as a gliscor counter, but thats neither here nor there.
Your biggest problem is that you have an old Gengar - focus sash was great before Stealth rock's ubiquity, but things have changed.

Wide lens gengar has fallen in polularity, but it'll shoot back up with hypnosis losing accuracy. Hypnosis and Focus Blast go to what - 90%? Thats decent.
Choice Scarf Gengar is more useful if you are playing in a game where DeoxysS is legal - you'll want timid with that. Modest scarf gar is good for ScarfChomp and Hasty Azelf. It should be Hypnosis, Thunderbolt, HP Ice, and Shadow Ball. That covers your main things. I'm uneasy on focus blast, especially because t-tar isn't a problem.
If you really want a more reliable gengar, you could use a wide lens - that gives hypnosis and focus blast ~90% accuracy. Keep in mind that hypnosis is back down to 60%.

Hypnosis is 70% accurate in Diamond and Pearl, but in Platinum it's 60%. Wonder what's going to happen if you battle across the two versions (D/P vs. P)...

It has always been 60% before D/P.

Peanut-Lover, your math is terrible (okay, maybe not terrible; just off). Wide Lens boosts only 10%, so that's 77% (.70 * 1.1 = .77), not 90%.

Isn't it like 20-30%? I thought it was :( Too high, I guess.

Okay, so no wide lens.

I still really haven't gotten much on who should I keep in. There is no way I am re-breeding just to get a Riolu with Vacuum Wave and have HP Ice. I might decide to get a new Gastly to use "assuming" I decide to keep a Gengar in. I also don't understand why Game Freak felt the need to make Hypnosis bad again.

Sorry for being off-topic in your thread pokemanic, but I don't really know good movesets/strategies for Gar or Luca, never really used em. :?

W.. t.. f.. why did they change the accuracy O_o (not that I'm complaining) but shouldn't they wait till next gen? Did any other moves change?

Um, I say {lucario} With Sword Dance, Extreme Speed, Calm Mind, and Aura Sphere. With those moves it's an all around team sweeper unless there's a ghost on the opponents team.

Well ...all i can say about this is "NO!" ...
Sworld Dance and Calm Mind together don't work for NOTHING besides wasting moveslots...
You know...mixed sweepers should have ONE stats upper for his main attacking Stat and 2 moves of this type the secondary attack stat go with one move only and that's it...

And back to the point of the topic...
You could try to get a SpecsLuke. That's the Lucario you showed us...but with a Choice Specs and Vaccum Wave instead of Water Pulse(And HP-Ice instead of Dragon Pulse.)
You can get Vac.Wave by Move Tutor in Platinum.

That's the only one I know of; it was the only one announced on pretty much every board, when they were covering the D/P --> P changes. Personally, I think they should've waited till next gen. I dislike the drop. :( That, and there's going to be some issues when you battle across the two versions.

I second Bushin's statement.
