it really depends if you want bit more power or bulk. For the set your running I'd say Salamence.
Fire blast in the 3rd slot although heat wave/flamethrower is an option for slightly better acc and PP at the cost of a bit of power

Dragonite has more bulk and more versatility, since he gets so many more moves (most notably a few support moves), but in terms of offense and power, I'd say Salamence has the upperhand, because his offensive base stats are better, and he gets just about every move that Dragonite has (he even gets outrage, once Platinum is released).

Heal Bell Dragonite is a cute surprise against stallnoyer teams. My Battle Tower Dragonite is a standard phys sweeper running DDance / Outrage / Fire Punch / EQ. I stay away from Salamence on principle.

i can't really say since my dragonair hasnt evolved yet, but I run my salamence as an all around sweeper.
Lonely Lv. 55
Zen headbutt
flamethrower
dragon pulse
crunch
works well against the Uxie and darkrai on battle rev, and alot of other people on Wi-Fi use salamence too

It depends on what you've got/planned on your team. If you have a bunch of sweepers, like Infernape or Lucario, then I suggest you have Dragonite. While Dragonite is great as a sweeper, it also learns some other supporting moves, such as Heal Bell and Haze.
If you have a Gliskarmblisselia combo (that is, combining Gliscor/Skarmory with Blissey/Cresselia), I strongly suggest Salamence to either knock out tons as a lead or clean up as a late-game.

Unless your playing shoddy or are extremely lucky, heal bell is not an option for Dragonite, it was an very limited event giveaway so it's almost non-existent in ingame play.

actually, im pretty sure any heal bell d-nite is from XD.
if you're running a supportive role for your dragonite, i would propose:
 @ lefties
Careful | 252 HP, 96 Def, 56 Spd, 104 SDef
- Roost
- Thunder Wave
- Heal Bell / Light Screen
- Dragon Claw
i've never really used a d-nite offensively, but your set-up looks pretty good to me.

Confirming Heal Bell Dragonite is from XD. I've got a couple in my backup stable.
