Mainly because that's what I used in Crystal the last time I played it.

I always have a hard time selecting my Johto starter. When I first played Pokemon Silver, I chose Cyndaquil. This time, though, I think I'll pick Totodile, just because his Sugimori picture clearly says "Pick me up!"

I would include Scizor if it was possible to evolve Scyther without trading. Since it's not, the red mantis is out. Unless, of course, I want it so bad I'll take the risk of using my Action Replay.

Definetly Ampharos, for being so damn cute. I'll hopefully come up with a better moveset for this one than I did to the one in my first game...

Xatu, instead of Pidgeot, which I chose when I first played the game.

Gliscor, since Gligar will obviously evolve in these remakes.

And either Umbreon or Houndoom. Possibly both, since I probably won't have Scizor.

Ya'know, this might be the first time I don't get a water type. And I realized my name on XD was SOUL, so my Lugia's OT is SOUL.

My team from my original gold version, which still works.

I always like Ledian Politoed and Bellossom but they don't really excel in competitive play so I think I will use them for in-game play. Then I have never had a play through of silver version without the other three so they are just obvious for me.

Starters are overrated.

I know, but Weavile is used by about everyone now. I'm just assuming (and kind of hoping I guess) that it will be like fr/lg in that you will be unable to obtain more recent pokemon until after the E4. I don't really care for Weavile and would much rather use Sneasel.

So to answer your question, yeah I am talking about G4 since thats where hg/ss would be in competetive play.
