I looked back a bit further and found some things
1. Arcanine is not resistant water pulse, so arcanine was a bust to begin with.
2. clampearl is resistant to fire and protect is a legitimate defence
3.Kyogres thunder still work because there is a chance of it hitting through protect when its raining
4. articuno has already been used blizzard on torterra, there are 493 pokemon in the game and almost 500 diffent moves get creative!

@/vXv\: If one uses Protect, doesn't the game come to a standstill? There's no attack to be countered, so the next person either a) cannot do anything or b) has to juct use a random Super Effective attack on the last Poke. Or if there's a rule to cirumvent this, please inform us.

1. Protect was pointless when you used Gengar as levitate protected you from earthquake
2.No guard gets pass protect, Kyogres thunder, and abomasnows blizzard as well as Giratinas Shadow force, and of course fient which is a normal type and would not work verse gengar
